Please get your husband up to help you get with your medical care team.  What is going on is something they can help you with.  The actual doctors and therapists want you to let them know how you feel.  They KNOW about your disability and want to keep you because they DO CARE for you.

Hi Alexx

The pressure of life is all round us these days, with government cuts everywhere. I don't know if it is what you are referring to about the lights, but our street lights are turned off before midnight. Annoying when I am getting ready for bed and everything goes black! It's the same with their presumption that everyone is fit for work.

At the times in my life when I have felt similar to you I have just stopped reading newspapers, and not watched the news on TV. It's a bit like hiding my head in the sand but just gave me the breathing space to go on. We do get stressed by information overload, and there are always people, even in government, who do help.

If you cannot get onto chat here to talk to someone, there is, as I said previously, the Samaritans (Tel: 116 123).

One thing I remember when I was under local mental health care is that I was provided with a card with the emergency call phonenumber which goes through to the professional on call, with the instruction that if I felt any really bad thoughts I should call the number to get immediate help. Do you have a similar number? I know the NHS is slightly different in Scotland but I would presume there is someone on call.

Hi Alexx,

Take a deep breath and try to relax. It would be a very good idea to call your doctor tomorrow and tell him/her what's going on. It sounds like your meds may need adjustment. Please know that I care about you.

Lots of love,

Timber Wolf🐾

Alexx,  I don't know what to add to what has already been said above.  Please do take care of yourself.  The health care system does care and will help if you reach out and tell them how you feel.

We also care and can hope that you feel better today.

Hugs,

Charlize

Alexx, I don't think you should wait until next week to see a care giver.  Please ask your doctor to see you sooner, or ask your husband to take you to an urgent care center.  They will help you feel better, more like yourself, and calm your nerves.  This isn't something you can deal with on your own.  We all need help sometimes, Alexx.  My heart goes out to you, hon.

HUGS

Glad to hear you are feeling better.   Please do see your doctor as soon as you can and please be as honest as you can be.  Enjoy your nieces in the meantime.

Hello "Girl inside my head", welcome!  Certainly do dive in and look about, and ask questions.     Do you have a name that you use, that we could call you?  Cheers, Jani

That's what I took it to mean, that they could do more.  I think he was just giving an honest appraisal.  30% in top management is really good and I would think this is a high number for financial businesses overall.      Jani

That sounds pretty good. I wonder why he said it was a "mixed review," unless its just to say that more work needs to be done.  Thanks, Jani.   Carolyn Marie

New user as of today.    I struggle as a male but I'm a female trapped in a man's body.    I think and act like a girl but in a man's body.    I someday hope to be the real me.

Thank you all so much. I really appreciate your responses!   The consensus seems to be to keep it to myself, and be prepared to document potential harassment, and only then make an issue out of it. I think that is the route I'll take. Phew - that's a load off!   @tracy_j, your experience sounds a lot like my potential situation. I really appreciate you sharing that.   I've read the HR policy on the dress code, and it says not to wear anything casual - to keep it business appropriate, which I think even in the unlikely event I'm brave enough to wear woman's clothing to work, so long as it's business-attire, it technically shouldn't be an issue. I took your advice looking at legal issues, and if I'm understanding it correctly, both my state and the federal law protect against discrimination based on sex which may include pregnancy, gender identity, or orientation as well as biological sex organs.

Wow, it's been a year on HRT. I have come a long way in a year. If you told me I would still be on cloud 9 back then, I wouldn't have believed you. But here I am and still feeling great. Thank you all for being here and supporting me through this last year. I am looking forward to the things to come.    Hugs    Shawnna
