Hello Everyone:

Wanted to share that I got my labs back quick and what my numbers are.  I am so happy that my E went from 12 up to 30 and my T went from 187 down to 29.  So looks like everything is working grate.  I am just so happy and I cannot wait till the 19th to go over everything with my doctor.

Thanks

Hey all

So the patches are working.  I have noticed more that I am having to wear my sports bra a lot more cause it feels very comfortable.  I have just notice that my nipples when rubbing against my shirt hurts so need my sports bra and it feels a lot better.

Thank You

You'll certainly need to protect that area for a while!  Things will calm down eventually.

Oh yes, the constantly happy nipples and soon to arrive ouchies! I got my results back a week and a half ago and it was a little shocking because the T was so low I couldn’t believe it, I don’t think they could measure it right because it didn’t have a number it had a note that said less than three which is far below arrange for a female, I have to go see my endocrinologist on Tuesday so I’m hoping to get things back in range but I don’t think the low T is really an issue as long as I can get my E in the right range, it was rolling up around 80 E on the last test but it will be up to my Endocrinologist to see if she wants to push it any higher, I think I’ve read that some people prefer higher but I haven’t done much research so I have no idea what these numbers mean myself I just trust my Endo to take care of it for me... I have no idea why but it seems that people want to poke you in just the wrong place when you have the ouchies, Nobody ever seemed to bother me until I had them and then during that span of time I was either bumped nudged poked and even once squeezed by a very good friend who had no idea that it nearly dropped me on the floor!  It almost made me spit out my sushi!

I agree with Jae, the ouchies and itchies are so much fun! I find myself reaching for something and hitting them myself :?! I just checked my E and T levels from my last lab, my estrogen was 115, yea!, but my t level was 433, yuk! Hang on for the ride.

Brandi

Hey all

Thanks for all the good help.  I know for my T, one good thing I have going for me as my doctor had said is that since I am a Cancer survivor from Testicular cancer and already missing one testical that my T level was already very low.  So it just needed to drop even more and the big thing was to bring up my E.

Thank you all

Ah yes... I can sympathize! I damaged my little guys so bad in a motorcycle wreck that one is done for and needs to come out no matter what! The remaining little guy is barely hanging on, so I am scheduling an orchi to get both of those trouble makers kicked out! I have such low T at this point I don't think either one of them is making anything at all... Oh well, don't care, bye bye little guys, I won't miss you!

Squishy hugs,

Jae

Hey all:

So I was standing in front of my closet mirror today and notice why my nipples have been itching a lot and why I have been noticing why I need to wear my sports bra a lot more for comfort.  So my nipples have been looking like that have been sticking straight out and when I touch them, they are sensitive.  Then it looks like I have a small A cup definition right now.

The fun part is that I have been weighing myself twice a day and in the early mornings, I have been averaging 205 and then late afternoons / early evenings I have been 211

So I have been losing weight

Thank you all

You sound like you are doing fine there, the shape of your breasts does generally change even before you actually put on more size onto your male or "moob" structure which is more deltoid, whereas female is more oval in shape.  The nippy itching is a positive sign, and the sticking out more is what will lead to some wild adventures. <evil grin>

Hello All

So since my doctor has increased my patches from 1 to 2 patches a day of Estrodial.  I have been noticing a lot more that my breast around my nipples have been becoming very sensitive.  I need to wear my sports bra that makes me feel comfortable and no irritation now.  There is no size difference, but more like a 90% irritation.

Thanks

As time goes on you will be amazed at the amount of time your breasts call out "I'm Here....Pay Attention".  It is a lovely and almost constant reminder of the journey you are on. Enjoy it as it is less demanding as time passes.

Hugs,

You may not notice a size difference as your breast grow to be fuller rather than bigger (outward).

Hello All:

So I have been on the 2x patches of Estrodial according to doctors instructions for a week now and have not seen any change.  My doctor just wanted to speed it up a little which is why for the 2 patches.  She wants me to give her a call in 3 weeks to let her know of how it is going.

lots of love

That's probably about right.  My number had been consistent for quite some time so my doctor up'ed the dosage with new patches.  It took about two weeks before I started to get tenderness indicating something was happening!  It may start slow like that and pick up steam soon afterwards.  Remember that it's having the hormone consistently in your system that makes the difference.

Cheers!

Hello Jani:

I know that I am feeling the tenderness around the nipple area and when I sleep on my stomach, I have to wear a sports bra so it will not hurt.  I have noticed when wearing a shirt, I need to wear my sports bra due to the irritation.  Wearing a sports bra is so comfortable to me.

Thank You

I'm having an anxiety attack. How am I supposed to go back to work knowing that they all know my wish to transition? Knowing they were eavesdropping on my conversations with my therapist? What if they try to oust me or worse? I would be lying if I said I wasn't frightened. I'm actually TERRIFIED!!!   Katie

Hello Frank, Welcome to TransPulse.   I would have to say this. If you feel that you are a male, then that's what you are. A male. I'm aware that the economic situation in Venezuela is not good so it's understandable that you cannot afford a therapist. The next best thing is to talk with us here. We have many members here who can give you advice on how to handle unsupporting parents and how to appear more manly. Feel free to ask questions. I'm sure you'll get answers. If you haven't already, join the chat here. You'll be able to chat one on one with knowledgeable trans men who can give you good advice. Good luck.   MaryEllen

Wow. That's amazing! I would imagine that the general election in November will be even tougher for her, but winning the primary is in and of itself an incredible thing.

Hello, I am a 19 years old girl from Venezuela, since I was a little kid I've always liked to dress like a boy and play with boy's toys, I had a girlfriend during my early teenage phase, my parents (religious) got extremely mad with it but till today they haven't brought up the topic again so I assume they forgot about it. My parents tried to force me to be "girly and flirty" multiple times by buying me clothes I disliked until I turned 15 and stopped caring about that, I've always felt more comfortable dressing like a boy or "androgynous" because I dislike dresses, skirts, sandals, adjusted shirts (I don't like looking myself on the mirror and watching my boobies). Lately I have been fantasizing a lot (EVERYDAY) with being a man, even on my sexual fantasies I'm the guy, which made me wonder if I'm actually trans. I have done things like pretending I am a man online when I was younger, I have taken it too far at the point of editing my voice in calls to sound like a guy, at some times I thought I was actually a guy, It's hard to explain with words, I guess when you tell yourself a lie for too long you start believing it. I wish I could contact a gender therapist or something but:  I can't afford it, the economic situation in this country is horrible.  There are not gender therapists in Venezuela, the society is years behind, so even if I could afford it I can't get to one. I wish I could find out if I'm actually trans or I'm just confused (maybe because of my depression), this situation gets me terribly bad, everytime I look in the mirror I mess up with my hair to see how would I look with a short hair (my mom doesn't want me to get a haircut), I see myself as a man, I don't like looking at my sexual parts, I feel they don't belong to me and I would prefer to have a -censored- penis. I came out to my grandma and my best friend but that hasn't helped anything since I can't start doing anything to actually feel better, it's sad having to pour my sorrow on internet but I'm really desperate.

My first shave with the safety razor went great, by the way! My face has never been smoother! There is still room for improvement, but because it was my first time, I just gave it two with-the-grain passes to get the knack of it. When I feel I've got a good handle on it I'll go cross-grain on the second pass for a closer shave.

Since I've retired I try to pick up the slack wherever I can!  Ha!

And here I was thinking that the sleeping in was my task. I'm glad you covered for me, Jani!

I'm about as liberal as they come, but I have no problem with responsible gun ownership for personal protection for those who choose to do so. It's not something that I personally feel the need for, but I respect those who choose to exercise that right.
I do think this must seem a bit strange to our forum friends out side the USA, though. 🙂
    • Katie_marie
      That’s perfect advice SugarMagnolia! Thanks!
    • SugarMagnolia
      That's so great, Katie!

I agree with the search idea above.

I'd also suggest taking it one step further and thinking about what parts of your body to play up, not just hide. That's different for all of us, but it can sometimes be helpful in putting together outfits. Ultimately, you can't hide your body but you can play to your strengths and that will make the process a little more enjoyable. 😀

For example, I don't have much in the way of curves and would be classified as having a rectangular body shape, but I do have long trim legs and so showing those off appropriately (no short shorts or mini skirts!) is something that I can feel good about even as I work to minimize my shoulders, not draw attention to the size of my feet and provide the illusion of cleavage.

I'm not sure how helpful this info is for you, but I wish you luck and joy in finding your style. It can be a lot of fun!

      Julie

I had the very real experience of a Trans friend telling me that some three of four days before they had been approached by a police officer asking if they knew a <Male Name> shortly after a person we both knew had been badly beaten up, but thankfully had lived without too many lingering problems.  I vaguely remembered a part of our victimized friend's long ago male name  but the person talking to me had never known them as anything other than Trans female.  My unhurt friend  did have information on suspects for the attack and went to the Police department who eventually did get the culprits but that was several months down the line.   SIGH.
