I don't have anything specific but you could google "makeup techniques" to see what comes up.  The issue I've seen with many of them is they are over the top for everyday wear.  In my opinion, less is more.  I use a light foundation with a touch of blush on my cheeks.  Sometimes I'll add a little eyebrow pencil and a light lip gloss.

When selecting foundation color, test it on your forearm as the skin there most closely approximates your facial tone.  The trick is to have it blend in so your skin looks natural.  I don't like looking like I have make up on.  Just enough to even out my complexion.

I remember years ago asking a woman how she does her lipstick.  It took her 3 simple strokes. One from the center to the edge on both sides of the upper lip and a quick side to side below.  She the "mushed"(rubbed) her lips together before a blot with a tissue.  It seemed too simple but today it works for me.  Its something easily done on the move, barely needing a mirror.  Practice makes perfect.

I just checked, and it seems the site that I used to use is now no more. It is just an indication that with a bit of practice you soon become confident in doing things yourself. I found Youtube useful as girls take you through different techniques. Have a look at a few and compare ideas. Currently I use moisturiser and foundation all the time when I am going out, but seldom get heavily madeup. If you look at cis women around you you will see they mostly don't. It is useful to compare notes with them, if possible.

Charlize that is exactly what I do!  I recall my mother doing that years ago.  Not much has changed.

I agree with everything that's been said. I use the moisturizer followed by foundation, a little blush, lipstick and maybe mascara. Can't seem to get the hang of eye liner yet.?

I used eye liner at first but it's hard and time consuming to apply, and in everyday life I just don't see a lot of women wearing it except for the very young.  I save it for a special occasion.

Makeup techniques, as a whole, is really really broad since there's so much variation.

Techniques for applying...? Foundation? Concealer? Blush? Eyeshadow?

Day time? Night time? For business/office? Date night? Girl's night out?

Youtube has tons and tons of makeup videos. There is most likely very basic beginner videos as well that will give you a general overview of various products, their uses, and how to apply. :)

The best advice i can give is to not expect great results at first.  Be prepared to wash up and try again.  A supply of cuties and a bit of mineral oil can help with cleaning up around your eyes.  I find a double sided magnifying mirror to be a big help.  If it looks ok in that then errors in eyeliner or mascara won't be obvious to others.

Most of all relax and enjoy!

Try some different shades of the colors you like. I wouldn’t waste a lot of money on expensive makeup until you’ve found the shades you like. All the big stores have big palettes of different colors of eye shadow and blush to try. These are really good for experimentation. Anytime I see one of those on clearance, I buy them for my teenage daughter so she can experiment.

unless you like a big splash, it’s a good idea to go pretty simple with eye and lip colors during the day. Highlighters are fun to play with because they can help you change the shape of your face and help fill in discoloration. Again, don’t spend too much on “miracle” products. TJMaxx and stores like that usually have tons of this kind of thing super reduced. I usually get some muted ones and also super sparkly. The sparkly ones are great for evening and they can really help with that youthful glow we all want!

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
