 As I identify as MTF, some people have dated me just to 'test out' dating a transgender. It is difficult to pass in high school as female, I just am wondering will love ever find me? This has been a difficult time the amount of relationships I have been used in. Can someone help?

Dating is difficult no matter what your age or gender or if you are cis or not. I was pretending to be cis during my high school years.  I had one girlfriend, we dated for about 3 months in our senior year. Most High school relationships don't last. I learned a lot from dating her (and some things about myself, and some wrong things too, like to ignore the fact I wanted to be her as much as be with her).  

 

At the moment, I am dating another MTF who is wonderful. I love her dearly (). It happens, often when you least expect it. I met her at a party 3 months after divorcing my ex. I was not even thinking of getting into a relationship, but we are still together 3 years later.

Being as I am single and not even out the closet yet I don't know how much stock you will take in my words. But just keep trying and know that it will happen when the time is right; at least that's what I tell myself when I feel like giving up. Your other half is out there somewhere probably also wondering if you will ever find them; keep your head up hunny :3

I've been out of the dating scene for some time now having been married for almost 47 years.  That being said i know that if one is simply active in the world the chances of finding a partner grow a good bit.  Prior to transition and during early years i was quite shy of the public but today i'm a bit of a social butterfly and am more active socially than in the past.  I know there are folks who would date me but again i'm happily married.

I believe that we find someone if we simply get out into the world.  That worked for me 47+ years ago and probably would now as well.

I sometimes wonder if dating is a bit like a job. If you have one then it is easier to get another. Maybe incorrect, but as Mary said - confidence. If you show great confidence then people will notice you, and you are more likely to be the one to be with.
