OK, so here’s where we’re at... The vascular surgeon gave the go ahead for estrogen and says I’m all good, but now my Endo believes she needs to contact hematology before she prescribes estrogen because either she or they seem concerned about clots forming  near or after my IVC filter, the recommendation of blood thinners is being thrown around and I wouldn’t care as it doesn’t seem to impact me any other way and blood thinners would be a reduction in blood clot risk so I see no harm. I do know that removing the IVC filter could cause complications that I don’t want, they are typically only left in temporarily now but when I had mine they only just started coming out, the good news being there are 90-year-old women wandering around In Europe with IVC filters in place and doing fine.  I guess now my next appointment will be with the hematologist to go over some details, as soon as I know more I will report back and hopefully at some point in the future I will have prescribed estrogen in my hands !

 Hugs,

Jackie

I think patches or transdermal cream would side step that issue.

I agree Jani, however I am already lined up for transdermal patches, they are the least likely to have clotting issues, my end it was just being so crazy over cautious that the transgender care team in Oakland is not happy with her. They already contacted her and gave her a nudge and suggested I find a different endocrinologist. One of the people in Oakland suggested that since my endocrinologist is also my wife’s endocrinologist there may be some friction Happening there, but since my wife hasn’t been to see her in over a year I can’t imagine anything funny is going on. I also can’t imagine my wife would put any pressure on the Endo to not prescribe me the correct prescription that I need since my wife was a nurse and wants to make sure the medication I take is the safest possible method. I think we’re in the final stretches here,  I feel like being patient with her is going to work well in the long run but it may be another couple weeks before we get more answers, I’m just going to be persistent and make the appointment as necessary, there’s nothing wrong with blood thinners since they do potentially offer the lower blood clot risk, that sounds fine to me.

 Hugs,

Jackie

I doubt there is anything funny going on due to your wife also being a patient.

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
