Ear rings

As I started to express myself I searched for clip on earrings that actually stayed on.  I remember being crushed when I lost the wirean earring at a gay bar.  Getting my ears pierced was a big step for me out of the closet.  Since then I have enjoyed finding and wearing different styles.  I also found early on that I can loose one even now, especially the slip through wire style.  I now back them up with a little plastic slide that one pushes up the wire behind the ear.  Here is a pick of a collection.  I had hung my wife’s up years ago and recently did the same for myself.   Mmmmm does that go with this outfit?

Wow so cool ! I got my wife a bracelet and earring rack from Michael’s craft store a few months ago, and someday I want to get one for myself although I definitely plan to paint it a different color as the matte black metal doesn’t appeal to me too much. I haven’t gottten my ears pierced yet but I think about it all the time, I think I’m going to get my ears pierced before I get the little tattoo that I want, maybe next year. One of the things that I really want when I finally finish with bottom surgery is a little white rabbit tattoo on the back of my shoulder, I don’t know why but it seems fitting and of course I love bunnies !

Hugs,

Jackie

Very nice Charlize!  I use those plastic keepers also.  My wife used to occasionally lose an earring so we've both learned to use them.

Very nice collection! I’ve been pierced so many times now in so many places it’s kind of funny. I’ve had everything from the piece of skin between my fingers to my neck belly privates tongue nose lips eyebrow. So many holes. Lol. Most are gone now but I do still have 5 in my ears and I’m thinking about doing my nose again. Second row up third from the right, I have some that are almost the same. And I have silver leaves like your gold ones. ?

I don't have my ears pierced, but I do remember a friend years ago who has multiple ear piercings. I used to put all the studs in for him. I cannot remember the actual number of holes, but I used to think he was going for some kind of record lol.

That's a lovely collection Charlize. I do occasionally wear clip ons or magnetic, although they can get painful after a couple of hours.

I would love to get a few more piercing but when i got mine pierced the first and only time i had a great deal of trouble with infections.  I still have to be careful years later.  It seems that i'm sensitive to various metals.  The holes can quickly get itchy and start to discharge and soon they are inflamed.  I have a pair of gold hoops that i then use until things quiet down.  If i clean the posts with alcohol and use a touch of A+D ointment it seems to help and the lube from the A+D helps the posts to glide in.

Ohh Vanity!!!

With me,I have to watch when buying any earrings.Have to be nickel free, found out when I was 18 that I am allergic to the nickel used in silver earrings including my gold earrings. My earrings including jewelry are all nickel free which cost a little bit more.

Got my first PA piercing years ago.  Still viable but I don’t use it.  Ears about a year and a half ago. Other body parts last year but removed them before they healed completely.   I know not everyone can get away with pierced ears, but there are enough men with pierced ears these days I didn’t worry about it.  Tattoos are not my thing.

I got my right earlobe pierced maybe five years ago, and have always loved wearing long dangly earrings in it. Love an asymmetrical look!

On my birthday this February I got my other earlobe pierced as a little move toward transitioning. It was a problematic piercing and took forever to heal, but just a few days ago I was finally able to take out the ugly stainless jewelry and start wearing my own stuff.

That first day with my own jewelry in both ears I also had a good hair day with my nice long hair and I just felt so Validated. I felt real, felt comfortable, felt like me in a way I don't know I ever have!

Earrings can be MAGIC and I think I will always be a little obsessed with them.

Push pins! What a clever idea!

I only have 3 pairs of earrings. 2 pair of CZ studs and a pair of large hoops. I'm boring, lol.

But they're all sterling silver because of my nickel allergy. (and my body jewelry is titanium because it's hypo-allergenic)

I've had a great time with those push pins.  They allow me to arrange things to create an appealing display.  It's such fun to pick out something that works for my mood, outfit or feeling.  Just a part of enjoying myself as myself.

The only ear rings I can wear for any length of time are the actual piercing studs. I have found that my body is allergic to most types of metal. What I have had to do is just wear pretty ones for a few hours at a time and then take them out and either go back to the ugly studs or just go without. I havn't worn anything in over 10yrs until this past weekend and my pretty's went into the holes with no problem. I was totally amazed that the holes didn't grow closed.

You might look for pure nickel as I've read it is the best material for those with allergies to metals.
