Hmmm If you have these consistently/chronically, you might want to get these checked out by your doc.  There are quite a few things that can cause them including hormonal imbalances, side effects of some medications, low blood sugar, TB, certain cancers, and a few assorted neurological conditions.

And good morning to everyone.  Just getting ready to enjoy a beautiful day.

No I just had the heat up for 20 degree weather and it warmed up for some strange reason overnight. Thermostat got turned down to a more comfortable temperature. It’s not a sauna anymore!

Got my coffee and trying to finish it before heading out the door. One more day of hell and then I’ll have 2 days off! I’m going to have to visit the library and get some more applications filled out since trying it on my phone is an absolute nightmare. I’m wavering between asking for another reassignment or trying to stick things out until something more permanent comes along. The trouble I’m having is not the actual work but standing in one place for 12 hours is not good for my feet and knees. I’m better off moving around so my feet and legs get exercise and the ligaments don’t stretch so badly that it causes injury. I’ve been injured before like this and had to go through 3 months of physical therapy which is not exactly fun, not to mention I can’t afford any time off for that. I’m a little bit scared to tell the agency because I can see the eye rolling now and “here we go again” looks. I just don’t think they are really trying to find a good fit for my needs. It’s as if they roll the dice and I end up wherever but no matter what benefit the job might have it’s as if the only way the client company feels justified employing people is to inflict some brand of torture on us just to feel like it’s worth the cost for them. What to do?

Wow. I hate double posting but since everyone seems to be dealing with the accidental ban problem this morning I guess I’m here with my coffee alone for now. I had to restart my phone completely because cleaning cookies didn’t seem to work. I always crave real cookies whenever I hear about browser cookies. My coffee is lonely now ?

Good morning everyone

coffee is is brewing.  Coldest night and morning of the year, low 30s with a wind chill in the 20s. Yes I realize this would be a warm spell for some of you.   Tomorrow is supposed to be colder the a slight warm up.

Have a a great day and don’t eat too many cookies, save some for the rest of us.  ?

I’m actually lacking cookies right now. The other night I had a strange craving for a jumbo jack hamburger but there’s no jack in the box around here. I had to settle for wheat bran cereal and soy milk this morning. But it’s good.

Oh my goodness, I stopped at Jack-in-the-Box at midnight last night because I was thirsty, I don’t drink soda anymore so I wasn’t sure what to get, in fact it’s gotten so bad if I get a Dr Pepper or Coke I can’t taste it correctly, it tastes weird and carbonated and not at all what I remember. I didn’t realize this but they had mellow yellow, so I got that and headed home, it was OK but again it just didn’t taste quite right, so I only had a little bit of it before I decided I was done. I don’t know  if my taste buds are just out of whack due to nearly a couple years of HRT or if it’s just old age, but soda just tastes wrong to me these days, and I pretty much only drink water. The one good thing Jack-in-the-Box has that I routinely get is a chicken club salad or their grilled chicken salad, both make a nice quick dinner and since my kitchenette is not finished and I have no pantry and no refrigerator this is often my dinner These days...

 Hugs,

Jackie

I’m not a huge eater of burgers anyway it was just a really odd craving. I’m finding myself eating more chicken, soup or salad, and of course yogurt. I’m not a huge fan of sodas anymore either. I’m more interested in a good cup of cocoa or chocolate milk, and coffee of course. Juice is always a good one for warmer days. And I’m more prone to drink water most of the time.

Thats me too, but add in fish, and a little pork.  I rarely drink cocoa (but I enjoy it!) so its coffee in morning, maybe a hot tea in afternoon and water, water, water every other time!  ?

I love fish but finding healthy fish is not easy. Maybe there’s some at the local farmers market during summer time. I’m definitely going to check and see. Mmmm, lovely fillets with lemon!

Good morning everyone

I had my coffee and breakfast today.  Definitely cold here for here last night.  I spotted a small bird who had taken shelter on top of a porch column.  That got it out of the wind tucked up in a corner.  Felt sorry for it.

Started a fitness program this week.  Did yoga Tuesday and tabata last night. Ok today every muscle in my body is sore.  Maybe some water aroebics tomorrow or more yoga we’ll have to wait and see.

Sunny ? today.

Wishing everyone a great day.

Good morning! Still need to make coffee but I’m starting to get ready for the cold dark cave I must go into this morning until this evening. I’m not looking forward to the pain in my feet but it pays the rent for now. Yesterday I took my drug screening for the other job and hopefully they behave until I can safely quit my current job and start training for management in the new job.

Hi

Well, I’ve had coffee and breakfast.  I’m a little nervous or perhaps excited today.  I’m going to my first live support meeting this evening.

Josie, good luck with the new job.

That's great Willow ! I hope it goes well for you this evening, and you have a nice experience. Your post made me recall my first support meeting, it was at a place called Ingersol in downtown Seattle. Being with others and hearing their stories and experiences live and in person, was an experience I'll never forget.

Coffee is on this morning, cool and clear here in the PNW, and should be a nice day. I'll be outside later in the yard...

Hugs

I don’t like coffee and it’s almost lunch.  Big day ahead.  Joining a trans support group today and attending my first meeting.  Super excited and nervous at the same time.  Going to have my hair done before.

Wish me luck?

I remember my first meeting, I enjoyed it a lot.  Until that time, I felt pretty much like the only transwoman in the entire state of Florida.  And there they were, 20 others like me!  I was not alone anymore!

I hope you enjoy your meeting as much as I enjoyed mine!

I had to miss my group today because of work but hopefully they meet again next weekend.

It’s really nice to be able to be around other trans people and just talk.

I miss my TG group from way back when.  I met so many nice people but over the last 30 or so years have lost track of them.  I wish there was a weekly group in the area North of Seattle (Snohomish County).  The closest group is in Bellevue which is just as far as Seattle where my original group still exists.  Both take over an hour by car and longer if there's any traffic.  I have found only 2 ppl near me that are TG..  In such a huge metropolitan area, it's hard to believe so few of us post on forums.

My group is also almost an hour away in down town Fort Myers, an they meet only once a month.  But once a month is better than noting!

The area here has about 1 million people living here, but I do not know anybody transgender or intersex outside of the support group.

I wonder if people afraid to come out, or what it is?

I just wish there was a support group remotely close to me. None, here in Laramie, none in Cheyenne or Ft Collins. I think the closest is maybe boulder.

There is a PFlag group here. I contacted them about any trans groups. They were supposed to give my email to another trans person here in Laramie. Still haven't heard anything. ?

Since I am looking to move to Chattanooga, I contacted the community LGBTQ center. Heard nothing. :(

There was a listing on PLlag awhile back for a group in Everett which is only 15 mins away for me but the website was defunct and the email didn't bounce but never got a reply.

I may go to my old group in Seattle eventually..realistically it's an hour and a half with traffic.  No one I know will likely be still attending.  Its been way to long.

That's my guess but it's not likely to get too much better than it is right now...acceptance wise..I hope I'm wrong though.

My local group seems leery about new people. It’s why many are not attending much anymore. When I asked where everyone was, they assured me that they were around but just not attending. I’m aware that the transgender population here is much larger, but many choose to be stealth or move in more exclusive circles. I guess they have a support system outside of any group.

Wow that is a high number for Estradiol good grief! Testosterone levels are better than mine. I don't remember my Estradiol level but testosterone was 80. To me that is really high but it was in the two hundreds the check in before last one.

I don't understand why this would make a difference being a "dad" I mean, as far as how they would grow.
    • Ashley0616
I don't see why not. I have worn forms since I came out.

I have never worn breastforms, but I assume as long as they don't aggravate your nipples you could.

Every week I've been excited to take my shot, so it's never been an issue. Yesterday, however, I woke up and started my usual "slow roll" and then suddenly realized I had breakfast plans that I had to rush out the door for. After, it was straight into work calls, and then I got the notification from the doctor about things being too high and all the while my mind had completely slipped that I needed take my shot.   Given that I am not asking for medical advice, but sharing my journey, I will note my results: Estradiol at 447 pg/mL and Testosterone was 23 ng/dL, up and down from 26 pg/mL and 526 ng/dL respectively before treatment. Almost flipped the bit! The doc would like my Estradiol closer to 300 pg/mL, so we'll see what Monday's tests state.   Oh, and I teased the dinner with old soccer teammates and never updated the thread! It went well. There were a couple funny moments. One guy, who I was worried about their response, greeted me with "Hey, you've lost some weight!" 😎 And a friend who lives near me picked me up on the way to dinner exclaimed, after we learned one of the invitees might show up with a date, "Wait! We could have brought women?!" To which I instantly responded, "You kind of did, bringing me!" Everyone got a good laugh out of that. 😁

To me there isn't that much difference other the measurement, which side the zipper is on and men's pants have bigger pockets.

I hope this is not stupid question..I have yet to start n not sure if doc will approve..but once you start growing buds n such, can you still wear forms to get to the size you were?   I'm a dad, so when I start blossoms they will be smaller for a long time n probably need surgical augmented..that's fine. I don't want to go ddd to aa to ddd..   any ideas?   thank you

I like them too.  We had them growing up.  But my father's family were Swedes.

Oh my!  I guess it just goes to show how different tastes can be. Since we don't live near the ocean, Seafood is a rare luxury. We absolutely love pickled herring! Especially my husband and my GF, I guess it's a Ferman/Russian cultural thing.  But most of the kids like it too, and a jar wouldn't last in the pantry for long 😆
    • awkward-yet-sweet
I think the key to that is just not minding eating the same thing repeatedly. Since we produce a lot of our own food here, we end up eating what is in season at the moment. So, when the yellow squash is ripening, we end up fixing squash 20 different ways. When the strawberries are ready, we eat lots of strawberries. It's kind of a different mindset to eat in season when it has become such a part of American culture but the grocery store has everything we want all the time. Like grapes in December.  My family does even things out a little bit by having a greenhouse so we have some fresh things in the winter, but it's not a 100% fix.
    • KathyLauren
My brothers and I had to eat what was on the plate.  All of it, and nothing else.  Pickiness was not tolerated.  Some of our least favourite were liver and onions, sauerkraut, and especially rollmops (pickled herring).  We finally protested enough to persuade our mother not to serve rollmops, though she kept a jar in the pantry for years afterwards, as a threat if we didn't behave.

I'll go first.  My favorite team is the Yankees.  Loved them since I was a kid.  I was born in NYC so, yeah.  I know everyone loves to hate them, and that's OK.  I just love baseball in general.  It's a game of traditions, strategy, power, grace and skill.   Play Ball!!  ⚾   Carolyn Marie

I guess you do have a good point. It's just hard to try and not have the same meals over and over again.
    • Willow
Hi   I’ll weigh in on being picky about food.  Yes, and I was brought up that way.  We didn’t have to eat everything our parents ate.  They had a number of things they ate that they figured we wouldn’t eat, an acquired taste things or one or the other didn’t like them too.   even as an adult there are many things I won’t eat.  In my defense, there are different things my wife won’t eat.   the weird thing is that after being in E, my tastes have changed.  Sweet, sour, salty or bland, if I eat or drink too much of any one thing and I have to counter act it.   Willow
