It's slowly getting warmer! This winter for me was very cold. Though some days it was very warm as well. Mother nature cant make up their mind. I'm starting to see more and more crops and fields. It's the last day of school for Spring Break! All i'm really planning to do is just hang out with my partner and friends. <3 I hope everyone is as excited!

Ye Jani, it seems so (at least for a while). Just sitting here checking the computer and sipping coffee after a morning pottering in the garden. Bliss! ?

Good morning everyone

the calm before for the storm  I suppose.  A beautiful morning sun is out, birds are calling, but it’s cold.  Winter just doesn’t want to give up.

I guess im giving up on growing grass in places.  I’ve started planting a ground cover instead.

Have a great day everyone.

The sun is shining here.  Yesterdays 40 mile per hour winds brought calm and temps will hit the 60's.  A great day to be on a farm.  Perhaps we earn these days in the summer and winter.

Hugs,

Well the thermometer on the back fence (in the sun) shows about 68. Yeah, right. Blues skys and sunshine. Another day lounging around the house. With the stress of my upcoming start on HRT, along with other stresses of transition. I can use this time off work. Just wish it wasn't for a broken finger. OH, well.

Coffee is good this morning. Nice and warming. probably heading to the hobby desk later. See if I can get one entry done for the Model car show we are attending next month.

But not only going for the show. It is in Salina, KS. So also going to see our grand babies. Our almost 4 year old Grandson and Our 6mo old granddaughter.

Salina is a nice historic town. I visited there during the lead sled show last year and it was absolutely wonderful seeing all the classic cars and brick streets. If I had been more adventurous I might have stayed there for a while but it was a huge unknown and the area where my friends lived was not the nicest neighborhood. Still better than the bad parts of Wichita though.

Willow, what kind of ground cover are you going to plant? Something herbal? A low growing mint? There’s places near here that have patches of wild mint and it’s really lovely smelling it all around. There’s usually other plants and low growing flowers that grow along with them. It’s like an aromatic carpet.

Good morning

@Josie Beth I’m planting Asian Jasmine.  Full shade, sandy soil it’s what was recommended by my local nursery.  Mint is nice. When I was growing up there was wild mint, of several types growing and we usd to pick it and chew it.  We used mint in Virginia to keep deer out of my blueberries.

My son says it is cool with all the lead sleds roaming around. This trip will be our last to Salina visiting my son and family. He has a job offer he is taking in Lincoln, NE. Starting in May.

Staring at the coffee pot wondering why it has gotten my coffee yet. OH, well I will have to do it myself. Even in this modern age you still have to do things yourself.

2 days till HRT and counting. Feel like a kid waiting for Xmas.

Hugs all.

Jordy, that is terrible news. I hope it is just their heads talking not their hearts. Hopefully they will come around.

Jordy too often those who love us lash out when they feel hurt by our actions.  Simply living as ourselves can cause that feeling of hurt.  I've found that time heals if we let it.  At the same time i know the pain for you remains.  Hopefully that too will lessen  and fade away as you live your life.  My son would never look at me for what seemed forever. Last night we had a wonderful birthday party for my wife.  Hurts and fears have moved to the very back of our world and happiness has taken its place.

Hugs,

Jordy, I am sorry to hear about your kids.  I haven't read all your posts so I don't know the circumstances or ages.  But as a parent, I can say that kids use that phrase to try to upset you when you have denied them something regardless of being TG or not.  I hope that's all it is and that you can get past this.

Jordy kids say these things at times when they are hurt or frustrated (as Charlize implied). From my experience time changes everything. Often these words are said by those who are close emotionally.

Morning Ladies and gents. Jordy hope all is going OK for you. I know those words can hurt especially coming from ones children. However deep down they still love you.

Showing 60 on old fence thermometer. Today forecast for 57 so good to see. Yesterday got Goldie (My 71 Buick Sportwagon) up and going. Felt good to drive her. Hope the warm weather comes to stay soon. I want to get out and work on her and the others.

Surprising I was able to sleep last night. My appointment for HRT is later. I am so excited.

Good Morning! I love this post. It is a Sunny and comfortable 67 in San Diego, promising to be a pleasant 75 later in the afternoon. I’ve already had my cup of coffee, I had to go to Discount tire early this morning, but was pleasantly surprised by only needing a repair on not two tires. Saved $519! I’ve been on E and sPiro for 19 days now, and I feel better and better everyday!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Now having a relaxing Sunday after doing the shopping this morning, and settling with a pot of coffee. I have watched an old black and white film (Odette - a secret agent in WWII) which had me tears (at least she survived - a true story).

This last week has been very busy. I managed to get to Hunstanton in Norfolk on Thursday. The first place I ever went out dressed fully female, and a lovely little seaside town. I like to get every year at the end of March before the main season and restrictions begin. Friday and yesterday I planted lots of seeds. I need to get the garden moving!

I have read some of it, mostly in areas specifically targeted at the LGBTQ+ peoples.   You also have to take into account what and who is behind the words, not just the words themselves. Together that creates context, right? Let's take some examples, under the Department of Health & Human Services section:   "Radical actors inside and outside government are promoting harmful identity politics that replaces biological sex with subjective notions of “gender identity” and bases a person’s worth on his or her race, sex, or other identities. This destructive dogma, under the guise of “equity,” threatens American’s fundamental liberties as well as the health and well-being of children and adults alike."   or   "Families comprised of a married mother, father, and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and healthy society. Unfortunately, family policies and programs under President Biden’s HHS are fraught with agenda items focusing on “LGBTQ+ equity,” subsidizing single-motherhood, disincentivizing work, and penalizing marriage. These policies should be repealed and replaced by policies that support the formation of stable, married, nuclear families."   From a wording perspective, who doesn't want to protect the health and well-being of Americans or think that families aren't good for America? But let's take a look at the author, Roger Severino. He's well-quoted to be against LGBTQ+ anything, has standard christian nationalist views, supports conversion therapy, etc.   So when he uses words like "threatens the health and well-being of children and adults alike" it's not about actual health, it's about enforcing cis-gendered ideology because he (and the rest of the Heritage Foundation) believe LGBTQ+ people and communities are harmful. Or when he invokes the family through the lens of, let's just say dog whistles including the "penalization of marriage" (how and where?!), he idealizes families involving marriage of a "biological male to a biological female" and associates LGBTQ+ family equity as something unhealthy.   Who are the radical actors? Who is telling people to be trans, gay, or queer in general? No one. The idea that there can be any sort of equity between LGBTQ+ people and "normal" cis people is abhorrent to the author, so the loaded language of radical/destructive/guise/threaten are used. Families that he believes are "good" are stable/well-ordered/healthy, specifically married/nuclear ones.   Start looking into intersectionality of oppression of non-privileged groups and how that affects the concept of the family and you will understand that these platitudes are thinly veiled wrappers for christian nationalist ideology.   What's wrong with equity for queer families, to allow them full rights as parents, who are bringing up smart and able children? Or single mothers who are working three jobs to get food on plates?

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.
