Wow, that is some parenting fail right there. They're right though, you're not on their level. You can probably look down into the mud and see where they're coming from though. Good on you for trying not to get that stuff on you.

Not really sure where your mom gets off on having you skip therapy either. Parenting fail again.

Good on doggo for cheering you up though. That's what a Good Boy is best at. I mean he's not a cat, but I'm biased. ?

I keep going over that and thinking, "Man, I hope he gets to go to college out of state."

I hope today goes better for you bro. I swear it gets better after you move out.

Hugs!

Pf, yes, I don't want mud on my shoes, I had to buy them with my own money haha.

I have no idea why my parents are the way they are, maybe they could use some therapy as well. Thank you for your reply, I hope I find a college out of state haha. You have a great day as well.

I am so upset right now. Most of you know about my temp agency texting me not to go in to work last week on Monday. Well this morning I was woken up by the same temp agency and this time I was asked why I had not been to work for a week!!! So this whole time it was a mistake that nobody was willing to admit that they made, that screwed up my chances of ever working for this company again and it’s putting me dangerously close to homelessness!?!? Because of ineptitude? I’m so furious right now I don’t know what to do. After explaining this to the person who called me and voicing my feelings about not appreciating the mistakes because it could make me homeless, they just didn’t even acknowledge it! So I blocked them. I’ve been gaslighted and now they not only punish me but just ignore the fact that they are responsible for maybe making me homeless? She was just munching on some food and said “uh huh” with the same disinterest as if I said there’s free napkins in the break room. I just can’t. If they ever send me anything else on any other number I am going to explain that I don’t want any assignment until they pay me a full week to make up for them screwing up royally.

Is there a contact person you can call? Register a complaint? I remember there being someone I could bitch to when I was being mistreated at Volt. Of course Volt is no longer in business in this area. Maybe it's because they didn't treat their temps like complete garbage. Mostly garbage, but not complete garbage.

I really have no words. I'm angry on your behalf. That's inexcusable behavior from an employer but I understand how "at-will" states work. I live in one too.

I'm just sorry Josie. You deserve better.

There’s really no way to contact a complaint department. But I’ve already filled out a survey from a 3rd party that does the same thing. Unfortunately it’s not going to change anything, will probably mean some inadequate “training videos” for the employees to virtue signal and cover their butt legally, and then they won’t even punish anyone for the mistake. I probably can’t even file a lawsuit because they keep trying to contact me off the recorded line and are very vague in text. So I’m blocking anyone else that calls me for them. They call me or text me on official channels or I won’t answer.

It’s way past morning. I was gone half the day chasing job leads. I’m practically doing the helicopter. Feels like I’m simply flailing around my arms with no focus. I learned a few things today that could eventually be useful but the rest of the information was just more confirmation that shenanigans are going on with both my current temp agencies so it’s whatever. I just have to accept that I have to move on. I’m still very uncertain about the next couple of days.

There’s a couple of hits on my sale items but nothing concrete yet. For the most part I just want to sell the stuff and don’t even really need to get my asking price. It’s just remnants of a ruined life that are holding me back.

I didn’t get anywhere with rental assistance. Nobody does it anymore unless you’re disabled, elderly, or have children. Totally a waste of time.

But they will gladly waste more of your time just to ensure that you end up homeless and enroll in one of many recovery programs! What a way to help people!

Yeah! Don’t prevent homelessness, that’s too ethical. Promote it so you can turn it into an industry! See? Aren’t we just so charitable? And they wonder why there’s so much insanity in the world... why does everything have to be so butt backwards? ?

Good morning

coffee and waffles. For breakfast today. Makes up for nothing to eat or drink after midnight. Tuesday.  Surgery went well. They used a nerve block which was fine by me.  But as expected it wore off around 3am.   I’m feeling pretty good right now.

I dont know if its if it’s good news or bad news but being retired I not in the job market. Still have lots of things I could do.  I hear all about the problems that people who still have to work have these days.

Nice sunny day today. High is supposed to reach 70.

Coffee and waffles sounds good! Being retired and out of the fast lane is wonderful, every day is Saturday! What with all the traffic now I'd hate to have to go to work every day like before, another thing I'd hate is to be back in the dating scene, Ugh! I'll leave that to the youngsters.

In cis-guy parlance, a simple nod and/or eyebrow lift passes for the majority of the greetings exchanged. It's also not usually noticed by women.

You could always try that next time.

It became legal because these business owners are so afraid of spending any money to hurt the bottom line that they will lobby to make something unethical legal. They don’t have to do right because everything in the law says they can do wrong, as long as they are creating “jobs”.

And by that it means hiring 12 people to do the job of 30 at 2/3 the pay and with half the time to do it in. Or don’t hire them at all, just hire temps and you can do all kinds of unethical things. I’m stuck with temp agencies until I get something full time but this is wearing thin.

I’m just sick of being hurt. It’s been going on for 6 years in a row now and I’ve been dealing with this kind of nonsense for almost 20 years so I’m really tired of people saying things like “that’s just life!” Or “the darkest night comes before the dawn!” Or some other cliche nonsense because it hasn’t really ended for me ever. I’m very aware of how much life sucks. I don’t need any more lessons on it. I don’t need to learn how to deal with it.

My mental health doesn’t know how to deal with it anymore. I’m at the final breaking point this time so if I’m up against the wall it’s going to mean lashing out so other people finally get my pain or just ending it. I have no more will to do this.

Yes. Go with a slight head nod and maybe a “‘whatsup”.

In recent times companies have been going through temp agencies because it gives them a chance to try out new workers without any obligation.  If they do it right they don’t have to pay a hiring fee after a certain number of weeks.  Also the temp agency has to provide all the pre employment testing and they do all the advertising and screening.

It it does sound like someone wanted you out for some reason and succeeded in finding a way without going through a proper process.  That happens all too often these days.  Also by using temps you have no protection in any state, right to work or not.

California is the only state I can think of that tries to fully protect the workers over the employer but even there employers can win .

Coffee is gone.  Long drive to work.  I had time to practice with my voice app on the way.  I am still having a hard time hearing myself with road noise and such.  I think it is coming along.

I have my first Doctors appointment later today to hopefully start HRT process.

Hoping things go well.

Have a great day!

Sometimes there is grunting. There's an entire grunting language between cis-men. It's an advanced technique though, so ease into it. Observation is key.

Wish I was kidding here... and I  kind of half am, but the grunt could become an important part of your eventual presentation. There's a whole grunting subtext between friends. It's kind of wild.

Sitting in the parking lot in front of the hobby store. I'm up to no good. Finished three hours at the gym, chiropractor appointment and now just a ... half hour ... until they open the doors. But if I went home, I'd just have to turn around and come back.

Luck at the... I'm going to guess endocrinologist @ShawnaLeigh! I'm listening to Lindsey Sterling and waiting until I can go have breakfast.

Good morning everyone,   @KymmieLI hope you're misreading your bosses communications. As you say keep plugging a long. Don't give them signs that you're slow quitting, just to collect unemployment.   I have a few things to do business wise, and will be driving to the St. Louis, MO area for two family gatherings.   Have a great day,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

AMUSEMENT The feeling when you encounter something silly, ironic, witty, or absurd, which makes you laugh. You have the urge to be playful and share the joke with others. Similar words: Mirth Amusement is the emotional reaction to humor. This can be something that is intended to be humorous, like when someone tells a good joke or when a friend dresses up in a ridiculous costume. But it can also be something that you find funny that was not intended to be humorous, like when you read a sign with a spelling error that turns it into an ironic pun. For millennia, philosophers and scholars have been attempting to explain what exactly it is that makes something funny. This has led to several different theories. Nowadays, the most widely accepted one is the Incongruity Theory, which states that something is amusing if it violates our standards of how things are supposed to be. For example, Charlie Chaplin-style slapstick is funny because it violates our norms of competence and proper conduct, while Monty Python-style absurdity is funny because it violates reason and logic. However, not every standard or norm violation is necessarily funny. Violations can also evoke confusion, indignation, or shock. An important condition for amusement is that there is a certain psychological distance to the violation. One of the ways to achieve this is captured by the statement ‘comedy is tragedy plus time’. A dreadful mistake today may become a funny story a year from now. But it can also be distant in other ways, for instance, because it happened to someone you do not know, or because it happens in fiction instead of in real life. Amusement also needs a safe and relaxed environment: people who are relaxed and among friends are much more likely to feel amused by something. A violation and sufficient psychological distance are the basic ingredients for amusement, but what any one person find funny will depend on their taste and sense of humor. There are dozens of ‘humor genres’, such as observational comedy, deadpan, toilet humor, and black comedy. Amusement is contagious: in groups, people are more prone to be amused and express their amusement more overtly. People are more likely to share amusement when they are with friends or like-minded people. For these reasons, amusement is often considered a social emotion. It encourages people to engage in social interactions and it promotes social bonding. Many people consider amusement to be good for the body and the soul. By the end of the 20th century, humor and laughter were considered important for mental and physical health, even by psychoneuroimmunology researchers who suggested that emotions influenced immunity. This precipitated the ‘humor and health movement’ among health care providers who believed that humor and laughter help speed recovery, including in patients suffering from cancer1). However, the evidence for health benefits of humor and laughter is less conclusive than commonly believed2. Amusement is a frequent target of regulation: we down-regulate it by shifting our attention to avoid inappropriate laughter, or up-regulate it by focusing on a humorous aspect of a negative situation. Interestingly, amusement that is purposefully up-regulated has been found to have the same beneficial physical and psychological effects as the naturally experienced emotion. Amusement has a few clear expressions that emerge depending on the intensity of the emotion. When people are mildly amused, they tend to smile or chuckle. When amusement intensifies, people laugh out loud and tilt or bob their head. The most extreme bouts of amusement may be accompanied by uncontrollable laughter, tears, and rolling on the floor. Most cultures welcome and endorse amusement. Many people even consider a ‘good sense of humor’ as one of the most desirable characteristics in a partner. At the same time, most cultures have (implicit) rules about what is the right time and place for amusement. For example, displays of amusement may be deemed inappropriate in situations that demand seriousness or solemness, such as at work or during religious rituals.

The experience was the same for me @April Marie. I slept much deeper and I woke up each morning feeling so much more restful sleeping with forms solidly in place. For me, wearing breast forms at night started when before I was a teenager. I had no access up to modern breast forms and certainly no way to buy mastectomy bras back then. I wore a basic bra my mom had put in a donation box and two pairs of soft cotton socks. I have some crazy memories of things I did in my youth to combat my GD but regardless, these makeshift concoctions helped me work through it all.   All My Best, Susan R🌷
