Hopefully things move towards a more conciliatory mood.  Staying married has some advantages, from a fiscal and health point of view.   Have a nice day.  Drive careful out there today!

Enjoy your morning coffee / tea everyone and have a wonderful day.

Have eight more days to my HRT first appointment and more excited than scared now. Just can hardly wait. Will see my own Dr. in 3 days to see if she can do any blood tests for the clinic ahead of time and forward results. Make sure her R.O.I. (Release Of Information) is faxed ahead of me.

Now to sit back and relax and watch the rain drops fall and enjoy the morning.

Canadian Hugs to all

It the anticipation that's the killer HUH.  LOL

It is an amazing feeling to just take these little pills.  I mean it made me feel like "Finally I am on my way"  (soaring in the clouds)

Of course then you get a couple to a few weeks into it, you then start saying.  "When the heck is it gonna work?"  LOL

Though I am a very impatient person.  Could just be me.  LOL

Weeks? I'm pretty sure it's all of us and we're hoping for changes right after that first pill. I saw a cartoon to that effect, but for the life of me, I can't find it. I saw it in a youtube compilation and I have no earthly idea where it came from. Basically it goes:

Trans woman takes her first hormone pill

Five minutes later

Trans woman: I should have been a woman five minutes ago.

I've been busy drawing, practicing my guitar, running errands.

For some reason though, I feel really old today.

Maybe it's the dreary day.

But I just don't feel very bouncy (yeah, like Tigger).

At this point in the year, near Christmas, I get bouncy to the extreme - so up and down, one time major depression then a bit later happy again. It started me, just after Christmas last year,  going out for walks several days a week as these seemed to cure my depression and do keep me fitter (and busier as I usually do over ten and occasionally toward twenty miles a week out in the countryside). It was bad at the end of last week but I am Ok at the moment, looking forward to my daily pot of coffee. I think the dreary weather has a lot to do with it.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Dentist and Therapy today.

So it's going to be less fun: no drawing but maybe a little guitar playing later.

Time to make coffee and get started.

Snowy weather predicted for the day too.

I am not so warm and fuzzy about driving in that.

Cheers and a big hug for all.

Possibly going out shopping with a colleague and friend from work. It is a yearly tradition where we go out shopping for our wives and family, usually grabbing some dinner too. This is male mode shopping as I am still not out. Not sure I’m going to socially transition anytime soon in an effort to save my marriage.

I look forward to this as he’s a good friend and he works remotely, so we don’t get together often.

Got a chill today, hoping my tea warms me up.

Have a great day everyone. *hugs*

I am in this mode still too.  Shopping "male" but being female inside is hard for me now.  My wife does help me at times when out shopping.  She finds such great deals for the clothing I truly want.  Which in itself is female training on her part.  LOL

We have even bough some of it together.  She gets mad that I am in a smaller size pant/legging then she is.  Though Id trade her for her hips and butt any day!

I am not slowing my transition for anyone any longer, I am not speeding down the highway either.  I am letting it happen organically.  ON hold this month still.  My continued coming out will be in January.  Tough ones coming up for me but I have to do it.  I am an impatient girl.

Its always a personal choice to do what and when and how fast when talking about transition.  I respect your feelings on what you are deciding to do.  Good Luck my friend.

Yesterday we sent out a pile of cards to family and friends.  Today i'll head to the PO with packed presents to send out.  This time of year is always busy but with bad weather and the melancholy that can come with holidays it's good to be busy!

Hugs,

A bunch of clothes outlets around here are closing. That includes two of the big and tall shops. I've been making out like a bandit. So many new, pretty things. Granted I'm still wearing jeans and a t-shirt today, but they're girl jeans dammit. They're also a really pretty dark maroon wash that I can somehow wear despite my skin-tone.

You might also check out the resale shops. I scored a lovely cashmere scarf for less than $20.

Also, Susan and I are the same pant size. I just want tall/skinny jeans, where she want's something with more room in the seat. I would happily trade any number of things to have HALF her hips/butt though. I totally get where you're coming from.

We're seriously considering turning the spare bedroom upstairs into a walk-in closet. I need more room for my wardrobe.

Hugs!

That’s wonderful. I’ve found some good bargains at second hand shops too. Pretended I was buying for my wife.

I must admit I’m happy for you and a little jealous. I hope to get a point in our relationship where we can share clothes, we’re pretty close to the same size, excluding the bra size.

Oh my, a walk-in closet the size of a room, that would be a dream come true. I think you two should totally do that.

I hear you girls on the shopping. It is hard shopping for feminine finery while in male mode. I think it is one of the key things that a trans person has to overcome. Maybe a right of passage.

Morning folks! Been a kind of rough start today. Alarm didn’t go off this morning so I overslept and was late to work. Boss seemed fairly chill with it though. No coffee but a lot of Mt Dew lol.

Side note: one of my buddies at work was kinda picking on me. (We have that friendly-insult kind of friendship) kept referring to me as Miss And Ma’am. He doesn’t know I’m MTF, so in my head I’m chuckling. Anyway have a great day. I’m gonna turn this rough start into a good day.

Morning drive was way to early.  I have been having troubles sleeping through the night and now I cant seem to wake up at the alarm.  SOOOOO hard convincing myself to go work out and start my morning routine.

Coffee for the road.  Long drive to work (1.5 hrs) with very little I can do once I am there.  Listen to my audio book and drink the way to hot coffee slowly.

Oh well.  Its a living.

I actually cheated a little to get started. A friend lost her mother and was getting rid of some of her things. Susan asked for clothes, so we got a couple of storage bind full. We picked through for what fit and I got a bit of a wardrobe seed. So really the first time we went wardrobe shopping together, I had the beginnings of my female wardrobe already.

I also have had a bit of a cheat in this.  My wife when we met was a bit heavier then I am now.  She has enough clothing to open her own shop I swear.   Of all sizes it seems.  Mostly packed away in those big plastic totes.

So we have been going through all her old stuff she is getting ready to donate or sell and giving me a ton of stuff.  Mostly jeans right now but its a start.  A bunch of fleece pants too for around the house during the winter.  I don't think I will ever fit into her tops though.  My hockey player shoulders are still pretty wide and muscular even though I have lost so much weight.

Morning all, I had a very awkward bus ride.

The kid next to me still thinks I am a cis guy ahaha. He never asked so I just went with it lol (I feel bad for lying but I dont think I will tell him anytime soon) So he turns to me and asks me..

"What's your view on trans people?"

So I kinda just sat there and before I could say anything he told me

"If a girl is trying to be a boy, I am still going to call her a her, because she will always be a she. The same for the other way around."

So, I spoke up and told him that he should respect other people's pronouns. I don't hate him for his view but it is pretty mean not gonna lie, I will always respect other's views on subjects. I really don't want to be his friend anymore so I am just gonna avoid him. I won't start any drama because I am a gentleman (Sometimes haha)

Cis or trans, a guy is still a guy. He wasn't all that far off. You're not really lying if you're being true to yourself. I tell people I'm a woman. That's true. I just need a couple of renovations to get my body caught up to the rest of me.

What a peculiar thing to strike up a conversation about. I admire your restraint. Depending on the day, I might have let him have it.

Hopefully, he'll learn better manners as he gets older.

Hugs!

I feel like he may have caught on to me or something. Since my friend Tyler and I were having a conversation about sports and trans teams.

Love it! This is great news. We need more of this to combat the excessive hate-filled rhetoric and misinformation. 👍

The experience was the same for me @April Marie. I slept much deeper and I woke up each morning feeling so much more restful sleeping with forms solidly in place. For me, wearing breast forms at night started when before I was a teenager. I had no access up to modern breast forms and certainly no way to buy mastectomy bras back then. I wore a basic bra my mom had put in a donation box and two pairs of soft cotton socks. I have some crazy memories of things I did in my youth to combat my GD but regardless, these makeshift concoctions helped me work through it all.   All My Best, Susan R🌷

Colorado isn't exactly a Republican place, and won't become one anytime soon.  I think those folks might be better off not spending their time playing Don Quixote.    We certainly have our share of California "refugees" moving into where I live, so I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing Coloradans too.  I suspect the trend over the next few years will see the blue areas getting more blue and the red areas getting more red as anybody who can relocate tries to find a place where they fit better.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
Well, at least it'll be a place some folks could choose.  Options are a good thing.

My family would have gobbled that jar up in a minute or two.  When we do have pickled herring, its usually for Christmas.  I didn't grow up with that particular dish, but I grew up in a Greek family so I like just about any kind of fish if I can get it.  However, ocean fish and freshwater fish taste so different.  We usually have more catfish and tilapia to eat than anything else.    What I can't quite get used to is the tons of cabbage my GF insists on eating.  When you live with a Russian, there is always cabbage soup.  Always.  When I first moved in with her, breakfast was "shchi" for soup and either bread or "kasha" which is a bowl of boiled buckwheat with butter and salt.  Those dishes can be made in any number of ways, some are better than others.  In the winter, it can even be salty and sour like kraut.  Not exactly sauerkraut, but packed in tubs with vinegar and salt so it keeps partially for the winter.  But I drew the line when the cabbage soup included pieces of fried snake one day.  😆

Good evening to you as well @Mmindy   That is awesome that you have support from her side. My dad has communicated with me once and that was because he was forced to. His new wife wanted to spend time with my kids. He hated me so much he was in the process of taking my rights away as a parent to my two boys. He was talking to a lawyer and I called him out on it. I don't love him at all. I'll respect him because I wouldn't be here without him but I wished I had another father. My uncles don't talk to me and unfriended me on Facebook. Almost all cousins except for two are still Facebook friends but they don't give me any support. My mom said she won't support me with that but she has said that she loves me. I have nieces and nephews that are still Facebook friends but they have yet to talk to me. I have one sister that supports me out of three. The other's disrespect me by deadnaming me. They have never called me their sister. I think for them they think it's still a phase. They don't ask questions about me being trans. I have to bring it up and on the look of their faces they don't look comfortable about it.

Good evening @Ashley0616,   I just got offline with HP tech support trying to get my printer tool box icon locked to my tool bar. This is one of the most important features of my printer that I like because it keeps track of ink, paper, and scanned documents. I'm diffidently not a computer geek.   I'll catch up with the other bookmarks next week. We leave to go home for the Easter Holiday with our families. Saturday with her side, and Sunday with my side. What's odd about that is I'm out to more of her side and they're reluctantly supportive. My side on the other hand are less supportive, and my sister just under me in age will not acknowledge my being there. She will be constantly moving to keep from dealing with me. I'm dead to her.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I used to follow baseball and the team I would cheer for is Boston Red Sox. My favorite player was Papi. He was an awesome guy and even held a child during the National Anthem. I haven't watched baseball for a long time. It just died off to me.
    • Ashley0616
That stinks that nothing transferred, and no bookmarks were saved!

I'm doing patches for now but I think soon I'll go to shots because it's hard to alternate when you are doing two xx patches at once. Unless she gives me Estradiol and progesterone

My view is we are "dependent" on government, because as a society, we are too lazy to stay actively involved. So, we let politicians do our bidding for us.  I think we'd be in a better place government wise if we policed the actions of our politicians.  We elected them; they work for us.  Sadly, we are allowing them to run amok.  We are where we are because we have chosen to let politicians make all decisions without us.  Remember "by the people, for the people?" That was the intent of our democracy.  Today, however, it is "by the politicians, for the politicians," the people be damned.

"Play Ball! Batter Up!" is the closing line of the National Anthem as far as I'm concerned. It's the call of the Home Plate Umpire and signals the start of the game. I grew up in the TV and Radio broadcast of the St. Louis Cardinals. Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Tim McCarver, and Mike Shannon, were the voices on my transistor radio. KMOX 1120 AM pushing 50,000 watts of Class A clear-channel non-directional signal. It could be picked up all across MO, IL, IN to the East. KS, OK, CO to the West. IA, MN to the North, and KY, TN, AR to the South. There has always been a rivalry against the Chicago Cubs, in the National League. As for the American League, I have to pull for the Kansas City Royals. I've also been a Little League Umpire, and fan of everything the Little League stands for. Going to Williamsport, PA and seeing the Little League World Series is in my top 10 things to do on my bucket list.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good evening everyone,   I don't think my mother ever cooked a meal that I didn't like. We also had a kitchen where mom fixed the food, dad filled your plate, and you eat it. It wasn't until our baby brother was born that we could have Pop-Tarts for snacks. Before that all snacks had to meet mom's approval, and in her opinion wouldn't prevent you from eating supper.   Well my day started off on a good note, but has become frustrating because my IT person didn't transfer my saved videos I use for teaching. Then I found out that they didn't save any of my book marks for websites I use frequently.   Best wishes, stay motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

The number is relative to method of deliver, the time of the dose, and when the blood is drawn. However, I do want to keep away from DVT and other potential issues. I assume I may be getting backed down from my current dose, but my doc told me to stick with the higher dose, so? I also wonder if this has anything to do the my breast growth and mental changes that have been happening over the past few years, like I have some estrogen sensitivity so a little goes a long way or something? I don't have enough data to postulate, but who knows!   With weekly, subcutaneous, shots you expect to see big swings of serum level estradiol from shot to peak to trough. My doctor is interested in mid-week testing (for E and T levels only), which would be post-peak blood serum levels but they will be higher than trough. Most, if not all, resources I've seen online is to measure at trough (which I might do just to do it next time) along with a SHBG, LH, and other metrics.   This is from transfemscience.org for Estradiol valerate in oil, which is very spiky compared to some other estradiol combinations. It's also for intramuscular, which will have a slower uptake and is usually dosed in higher volume due to the slower absorption rate from muscles. They don't have subcutaneous numbers, which I would expect to see similar spikes but higher levels at similar doses due to the relatively higher absorption rate direct from fat.   Are you doing pills, shots, or patches? And when you do get your levels checked are you getting that done when your levels are lowest or some other time?
