I got a late start this morning as i was up very late(early) processing maple syrup in the sugar house.  We had our first draw of the season so all the work is finally beginning to pay.  I'll be boiling today but as it didn't freeze last night then i'll get a break.

Love the flowers!

Oh yes this is a fun time.  I loved helping out during the boiling.  Which was basically drinking beer for me.  LOL

Eeep! Tomorrow is T-day! First meeting with my therapist. Kinda want to go with my makeup on, but also want to wait and see how she is first. A little nervous, but not nearly as anxiety riddled as I was talking to my MD.

Sounds good!  Adding a little makeup to your current everyday presentation would be fine and would send the message that you are serious.  Nervousness is to be expected but go in with an open mind.

Justine, if they work with individuals with gender related issues, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second about wearing makeup.  By the time they get to an actual practice of any sort, they’ve already seen it all. But just do what feels most comfortable to you...just be yourself and you’ll be fine.

Oh I am so sorry this has happened for your husband.  I wish him a speedy recovery.

I am glad for you though on your surgery   The success stories are making me look forward to my time.

So for me I have tons of stuff to complain about but I am not going to. Hehehe

Coffee does not seem to be agreeing with my tummy anymore and it disturbs me even saying that.  Sigh

I have my "lump" appointment tomorrow and hoping for the best outcome.  I was given a recommendation letter by my therapist and verbal recommendation by my family doctor that she will write one too if needed.  My HRT doctor I see on the 27th in which I will ask her for one too.

Hopefully I can get this Orchi and have done with this pain.

Until then I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I could of lost him,90% block and doctors were surprised he was still walking. It did give him a wake up call.He knows I had a couple stents put in a few months ago and changed things around. One was my eating habits, the bad went goodbye. So I am adjusting very well to post op life life.My family has been great,my brothers have welcomed me in as a sister in their life. They saw the painful life I went through before I did decided to transition. My parents, been a great change for them that they have a daughter now that was once their son.

It is a hard thing to have therapy rescheduled for me.  I hate looking forward to something and then being disappointed.  I'm a cry arse brat afterwards.  LOL

Finishing my last swallow of coffee.

Good morning everyone!

My therapy went well yesterday. I'll be joining in a Trans Support group next month.

Upcoming meeting to be scheduled with the Endocrinologist.

So sorry to hear about everyone's woes.

ShawnaLeigh I'm especially worried about your lump, having had a stomach lump of my own removed this summer. Please keep us posted.

Hugs to all on this dreary, rainy day.

OK @JustineM don't fret as this is just a minor bump in the road.  Reschedule, and settle back in until the date arrives.

@Debra Michelle I'm happy for you about your progress.  Your husband dodged a bullet it seems.  Yes he needs to stop smoking.

Oh I’m not really fretting, just a little disappointed. But if she is sick, not much one can say about that. Just going to take the day and try some new makeup stuff I saw on YouTube. After I’ve had coffee of course. ?

I posted this in more detail in my "I've got a little problem" thread in the surgeries forum.

But here's the Short version.

I finally had my appointment with the surgeon.  Bilateral Orchiectomy is schedule on Apr 13th plus all the connecting tubing running up into the torso that she can reach.  On antibiotics and pain killers for now trying to lessen the pain I am experiencing as there is a lot of inflammation going from my left side and up into my abdomen.  Nothing looks malignant according to the good blood work but they will not know for sure until they cut into it. (Yikes.)

Today is my pamper day.

I finally get the makeover and photo shoot from my therapist.  So I am hoping to have some pictures to share soon.

The only possible down side to this is it may upset my wife on this day of all days.  Though she claims she doesn't care.  We will see.

Sipping my coffee and wishing everyone a very happy valentine's day with a warm hug to seal the deal.

Gosh it's cold outside!

To think I have to be out in this when I'd rather stay snuggled up under my blanket.

Brrrrrrr.

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's also garbage day, so I had to drag the compost wheelie-bin to the road, an 800-foot trek through several inches of fresh snow.  So first I had to get out the snow blower and blow out a path.  Wrestling the snow blower and then wrestling the 300 lb compost bin (4 cats produce a lot of kitty-litter!) sure gave me my upper body workout this morning.

Theatre tonight!  It's the second-last show of the run.  I'm going to miss it when it's over.  It's a great show.  I do lights and sound.

Happy Valentine's day all ?

Enjoy the Theatre tonight Kathy, does not sound like work at all, but a labor of love, brrrr stay warm.

Dark rainy morning here 41f (5c) currently, coffee tastes great, the vertigo I've been having lately is not an issue today, thank goodness. I noticed a friend from another board joined us here last night at Trans Pulse, I think several of us will recognize ?

Have a great day

Happy Valentine's Day.  I hear its Friend's Day in some places now.   Its sunny but cold here today so we get what we get.  Enjoy the day.

Wow @KathyLauren that's a lot of kitty litter!  I have a sloping driveway and the road is close to 200 feet from where my bins are so if its snowy or rainy I just wait a week.

@Cyndee I'm glad to read the vertigo isn't an issue today.  It can be nasty.

Nostalgia is an emotion. It is the feeling of enjoying events from the past. People with nostalgia will often look at or use old things that they were familiar with years ago. This is because people feel more connected to those past times that they enjoyed, usually because it reminds them of how long it has been since they last connected to such past times. Examples where people may have the feeling of nostalgia includes watching old TV shows, using old technology that was very enjoyable, and playing with toys that you played with as a child. These memories are usually misleading, and can make someone wish that they could be young again, even if their childhood was mediocre. Human brains often leave out boring or bad memories, which can cause incorrect feelings about their childhood.

CAT FACTS A cat's jaw cannot move sideways. The only domestic animal not mentioned in the Bible is the cat   A house cat’s genome is 95.6 percent tiger, and they share many behaviors with their jungle ancestors, says Layla Morgan Wilde, a cat behavior expert and the founder of Cat Wisdom 101. These behaviors include scent marking by scratching, prey play, prey stalking, pouncing, chinning, and urine marking. Cats are believed to be the only mammals who don’t taste sweetness. Cats are nearsighted, but their peripheral vision and night vision are much better than that of humans. Cats are supposed to have 18 toes (five toes on each front paw; four toes on each back paw). Cats can jump up to six times their length. Cats’ claws all curve downward, which means that they can’t climb down trees head-first. Instead, they have to back down the trunk. Cats’ collarbones don’t connect to their other bones, as these bones are buried in their shoulder muscles. Cats have 230 bones, while humans only have 206. Cats have an extra organ that allows them to taste scents on the air, which is why your cat stares at you with her mouth open from time to time. Cats have whiskers on the backs of their front legs, as well. Cats have nearly twice the amount of neurons in their cerebral cortex as dogs. Cats have the largest eyes relative to their head size of any mammal. Cats make very little noise when they walk around. The thick, soft pads on their paws allow them to sneak up on their prey — or you! Cats’ rough tongues can lick a bone clean of any shred of meat. Cats use their long tails to balance themselves when they’re jumping or walking along narrow ledges. Cats use their whiskers to “feel” the world around them in an effort to determine which small spaces they can fit into. A cat’s whiskers are generally about the same width as its body. (This is why you should never, EVER cut their whiskers.) Cats walk like camels and giraffes: They move both of their right feet first, then move both of their left feet. No other animals walk this way. Male cats are more likely to be left-pawed, while female cats are more likely to be right-pawed. Though cats can notice the fast movements of their prey, it often seems to them that slow-moving objects are actually stagnant. Some cats are ambidextrous, but 40 percent are either left- or right-pawed. Some cats can swim. There are cats who have more than 18 toes. These extra-digit felines are referred to as being “polydactyl.”

Good morning,   I over slept yesterday was a couple minutes late clocking in.  But no breakfast or coffee.  Got caught up but it was go go go all morning.  I had to ask for a refresher on how I was to enter something but once I got a quick answer it came back to me.    @KymmieL sorry Ford didn’t work out.  We are always looking for good reliable people, I could get you a job here but the commute would be rough.  Today I have three audits to get done, plus other things during my shift on top of the regular things.  Since I am opening that puts me in the drivers seat.  The Asst Mgr comes in part way throuh my shift but she will have to handle customers while I do the work she would be doing if she opened. Tail wagging the dog.  Guess she’s getting punished for not following the Mgr’s requests.  They do tend to butt heads a lot.     Butting heads with people is a thing the Asst is known for.   @awkward-yet-sweet do you think just maybe this new graphics request was in the offing?  And why you were asked to go to work with your husband?  Obviously, he cares about you a lot and is trying to do things to help you.   speaking of meeting people @Adrianna Danielle we have a youngish customer who comes in frequently, I’d like to approach her but I’m just not certain yet.  She still dresses male but has long hair and early chest development.  My approach, if I ever decided I should would just be supportive but I really can’t be sure that is what is going on here or what and I would not want to make a big blunder if that’s not what he is doing.  A male with early teen boobs doesn’t want to be noticed.   well, I can’t be late again, I’ve got to leave now.  See you again later for afternoon tea and crumpets or scones. Mmm scones!   lol   Willow

Well, HIPAA is basically useless for keeping government out of your medical stuff.  It doesn't seem to prevent employers from making workplace medical demands either.  About the only thing it seems to do is keep somebody's sister or spouse from having the tools necessary to help you when you're in trouble.  As usual, government made things worse and added unhelpful red tape.  I really doubt HIPAA will be any use in the area of trans rights either.    Honestly, I don't see anything good will come of this no matter how it goes.  If some state AG's win on this, it will cause issues for trans folks.  If the Feds win on this, it'll be a precedent to stomp on states' rights even more than has already been done.  And I'm not sure which way things go will make a difference when it comes to officials from one state trying to do nasty things to people who have left that state and gone elsewhere.    What a crap sandwich... and no matter which plate it gets served on, "We The People" get to eat it.

At least you tried!  Something equivalent or better may come up, and the waiting could be worth it.  Just keep trying and you'll eventually get what you need and want.      For me, having somebody to love was the most important.  Everything else follows after that.  I waited a long time to find somebody...and she ended up leading me to more than I ever thought possible.    Actually, I'm feeling pretty good right now.  I have something work-like outside of my home responsibilities to do for the first time in about 18 months.  Nobody seems to mind the real me.  And this evening, my husband said something that just really made me feel special.  He was rubbing my back, shoulders, and chest while we talked, helping me relax.  He told me that he thought I was really cute in my girl form, but that he thinks my boy form might even be cuter.  And that he's proud of his "smart little Pocket Fox."    For me, the combination of those sweet words and the physical affection was exactly what I needed.

Hi!   That was probably hard to write and then read and say, did I really write that?  Been there.   I'm glad you call it a journey.  It is.  One step at a time, and sometimes two steps forward, one back.    Abby
