Well I finally got the therapist that I wanted! My first appointment with her is on the 29th and I really am excited about it! It’s the same person that my roommate goes to so I’ve already met her before. But I’m a bit irritated because the clerks keep calling me sir because my legal name is still male. I’d rather they just call me by my shortened first name and not sir.

Just reread the story, Natalie.  That was posted around xmas time. I cannot believe how much it relates to me. It brought me to tears. And of course I am at work.

Well I got my blood work done for hrt. When I get those results my dr. Will write my perception for spiro and E. She is going to start me on fin astride right away. Feels good to finally be jumping on this roller coaster ride!

Oh, my god, @Emily michelle, I am so excited for you! I will admit I am also a tiny bit jealous, but mostly I am just glad to hear that you are getting to take another step on your journey.

My therapist keeps asking about how I feel about HRT, and I have been consistent in wanting to start, but I am not ready to do so without the support of my wife.

Good morning everyone it’s cold this morning the temperature dropped back to the 40s from a high of 91 yesterday.

thank you metalicious I’m very excited I hate to wish the days by but my perception couldn’t come soon enough lol. My wife was hesitant but she did agree, she is pretty concerned about the side effects.

Thanks kymmie. I need to find a speech therapist now but that will probably have to wait until the world opens back up.

Maybe not, I did all my speech work online with a therapist in California. I'm told I got good results. There's a couple other packages you can purchase online to help out.

Hugs!

It’s another beautiful day today here in the Pacific Northwest. I’m having my lunchtime coffee break and getting ready to head out for my walk soon.  Not much to do around the house now.  We’ve done so many small projects around the house that we’re taking a break from changing things around for the sake of “do something” to keep busy..LOL You know you’re in isolation when you look forward to your late afternoon therapy appointment as the major highlight of your day.  Oh, the wonderful times we live in...

Hope everyone’s in good spirits today,

Susan R?

Hi everyone.

Weather has been great.  mid 80s but low humidity.  I've made a lot of progress on my boat.  I have one more patch to fill, final sand and power wash.  Then I can paint it and call it good for this year.  Of course something always breaks.  I am looking forward to sailing off into the sunrise.  Boating season can be a short summer.  Hurricane season begins in a month and a half so you really have to keep your eyes on the weather.  So no long sails.  Only day trips until November and then it gets chilly.

Good Morning

Well I spoke too soon.  Cool (ok not to most of you) and overcast today.  supposed to be sunny later but remain cool.  Similar for tomorrow but look out for Monday!  hang on to your hats and everything else.  Windy, stormy even a tornado is possible although usually the ocean keeps them away.

Take care of your selves.

We woke up to snow, wind, and a temperature of +2C.  Tides today are over 13 metres, and there is supposed to be a storm surge with it.  The dock will be under water this afternoon.

Had my usual oatmeal for breakfast, with prunes.

Well my last day off is off to a good start. Shower done. coffee next to me. Have two appointments this morning. Then maybe do some more work on the cars or take the truck up and try and not get stuck. LOL.

Lads and Lassies have a safe, healthy, sane day.

I had snow and 28* this morning.  Had to wipe my own car off again too.

I'm seriously seeing the need for a many in my life if for just this one thing.  I hate doing this.  No I have no garage and if I did have one it would be full off crap so Id still be parker out in the weather.  LOL

Half a day, kind of, and then a phone session with my therapist at 2pm.

No plans again for the weekend.

Perfect!

Have a wonderful day all!

There's a live webcam where you can see it every day.  Hall's Harbour webcam.  High tide is about an hour from now.  Although you might not be able to tell because the wharf is wet from snow and rain, the picnic table in the centre foreground will be standing in a couple of inches of sea water at 1:42 pm Eastern Time today.  Check it again six hours later, and the boats will be high and dry on the harbour floor.

The harbour floor is at the half-tide level, so at low tide, the water is as far below the harbour floor as the dock is above it.  In other words, the picture only shows you half the actual tide range.

@Jani Of course nothing compares to seeing it in person, once the virus emergency is over. :)

Wow that is a high number for Estradiol good grief! Testosterone levels are better than mine. I don't remember my Estradiol level but testosterone was 80. To me that is really high but it was in the two hundreds the check in before last one.

I don't understand why this would make a difference being a "dad" I mean, as far as how they would grow.

I don't see why not. I have worn forms since I came out.

I have never worn breastforms, but I assume as long as they don't aggravate your nipples you could.

Every week I've been excited to take my shot, so it's never been an issue. Yesterday, however, I woke up and started my usual "slow roll" and then suddenly realized I had breakfast plans that I had to rush out the door for. After, it was straight into work calls, and then I got the notification from the doctor about things being too high and all the while my mind had completely slipped that I needed take my shot.   Given that I am not asking for medical advice, but sharing my journey, I will note my results: Estradiol at 447 pg/mL and Testosterone was 23 ng/dL, up and down from 26 pg/mL and 526 ng/dL respectively before treatment. Almost flipped the bit! The doc would like my Estradiol closer to 300 pg/mL, so we'll see what Monday's tests state.   Oh, and I teased the dinner with old soccer teammates and never updated the thread! It went well. There were a couple funny moments. One guy, who I was worried about their response, greeted me with "Hey, you've lost some weight!" 😎 And a friend who lives near me picked me up on the way to dinner exclaimed, after we learned one of the invitees might show up with a date, "Wait! We could have brought women?!" To which I instantly responded, "You kind of did, bringing me!" Everyone got a good laugh out of that. 😁

To me there isn't that much difference other the measurement, which side the zipper is on and men's pants have bigger pockets.

I hope this is not stupid question..I have yet to start n not sure if doc will approve..but once you start growing buds n such, can you still wear forms to get to the size you were?   I'm a dad, so when I start blossoms they will be smaller for a long time n probably need surgical augmented..that's fine. I don't want to go ddd to aa to ddd..   any ideas?   thank you

I like them too.  We had them growing up.  But my father's family were Swedes.

Oh my!  I guess it just goes to show how different tastes can be. Since we don't live near the ocean, Seafood is a rare luxury. We absolutely love pickled herring! Especially my husband and my GF, I guess it's a Ferman/Russian cultural thing.  But most of the kids like it too, and a jar wouldn't last in the pantry for long 😆
    • awkward-yet-sweet
I think the key to that is just not minding eating the same thing repeatedly. Since we produce a lot of our own food here, we end up eating what is in season at the moment. So, when the yellow squash is ripening, we end up fixing squash 20 different ways. When the strawberries are ready, we eat lots of strawberries. It's kind of a different mindset to eat in season when it has become such a part of American culture but the grocery store has everything we want all the time. Like grapes in December.  My family does even things out a little bit by having a greenhouse so we have some fresh things in the winter, but it's not a 100% fix.
    • KathyLauren
My brothers and I had to eat what was on the plate.  All of it, and nothing else.  Pickiness was not tolerated.  Some of our least favourite were liver and onions, sauerkraut, and especially rollmops (pickled herring).  We finally protested enough to persuade our mother not to serve rollmops, though she kept a jar in the pantry for years afterwards, as a threat if we didn't behave.

I'll go first.  My favorite team is the Yankees.  Loved them since I was a kid.  I was born in NYC so, yeah.  I know everyone loves to hate them, and that's OK.  I just love baseball in general.  It's a game of traditions, strategy, power, grace and skill.   Play Ball!!  ⚾   Carolyn Marie

I guess you do have a good point. It's just hard to try and not have the same meals over and over again.

Hi   I’ll weigh in on being picky about food.  Yes, and I was brought up that way.  We didn’t have to eat everything our parents ate.  They had a number of things they ate that they figured we wouldn’t eat, an acquired taste things or one or the other didn’t like them too.   even as an adult there are many things I won’t eat.  In my defense, there are different things my wife won’t eat.   the weird thing is that after being in E, my tastes have changed.  Sweet, sour, salty or bland, if I eat or drink too much of any one thing and I have to counter act it.   Willow
