Kirsten...you....you little punk!  Well, cute punk anyway... ? I'm assuming that's a Dunkin' Donuts iced caramel swirl.  I'm jealous.  I LOVE DD coffee and coffee drinks.  They're all over the East coast, pretty well covered in the Midwest, but when you get out here to the west coast, not so much.  When we moved out here there was only 1 within a 100 mile radius of me and that one was on base.  Now the nearest one is about 15 miles away from me...in the opposite direction of my commute.  I guess on the bright side it saves me $5 and 400 calories daily that I'd have to double workout off.

Briana, you're right that there are very few DDs out here. I grew up in California and still don't understand the attraction of Dunkin'. But I'm one of those people that drink straight espresso shots with no sugar. That's kind of the opposite of Dunkin's coffee. People love 'em, though, so they must be doing something right!

That is a sad state of affairs! Life without dunks has to be tough. ?. I do so love their iced though. They are more like dessert than anything really. But lots of sugar and carbs if you don’t ask for less. I really like the butter pecan, and pumpkin too. Yum! ?

Good Morning everyone!

So, I am having a cup while waiting for partner to awaken...

A curiosity... How do you like your coffee?

I like mine with heavy cream and Pyure or Splenda Naturals. Both are Erythritol and Stevia blend.

LoL....?

I am so lost!?

My face is warm and fuzzy though...

Had my first facial electrolysis treatment today. With coffee of course!

That's why I was waiting for Shawn t rise. To say bye on my way to my treatment.

I brew my coffee in a French press with fennel seeds and ground cayenne, then pour it into a cup and add cocoa powder. Sometimes I stir in a little milk. It’s a very bold, rich, complex blend. 2 cups and I’m good for the day!

Just a drip machine here on a timer, I wake to the smell of it wafting up to the bedrooms.

As they say here in the PNW,

Uff da

I love having a timer on my machine, rarely use it mid week though despite my best intentions!    Just waiting for my "Tale of the Beaver" Sleepy Monks Reserve to finish brewing - my Canadian friends left me some decent coffee as a Christmas present so I only drink it a couple of times a week, today it is the perfect antidote to warm up my chilled bones after being outside for the last couple of hours. x

We used to have one of those fancy coffee makers with the timer etc. Until it broke and we got just a plain generic ADC pot. It doesn't even turn its self off. We have to remember.

Bah, you all can have your fancy arse coffees. I will just stick with plain coffee, folgers med roast.

Anyway, good news today. I have been assigned another provider today with experience with HRT. Got the letter in the mail today. So as soon as I get a free moment on Tuesday, maybe after another appointment I will get my first with him and be able to start HRT. yeah, ME.

The journey is starting soon.

Just drinking my mid morning cup. It is ground, but a cheap blend, which I will not be getting again. Fennel seeds and cayenne Josie? I have fennel seeds in my breakfast cereal, which goes well so why not! I have never tried chilli. Worth a try at some point. I do have it in many things. These days I prefer Mexican as they are good for the milder smoky flavours.

Good luck Kymmie!

I'm a 8 o'clock coffee gal.  I used to buy whole beans and grind them with a grinder that was from my great grandfathers hardware store.....used by my grandfather and father it now lives in our kitchen like a little robot.  I've grown lazy and now use pre ground with a drip machine.

Just finishing the first cup.  A winter storm is due today so i'm out early for chores and errands.

Congratulations Kimmie.  Fasten your seatbelt.  It takes a bit to start but what a journey!

Hugs,

Charlize

No coffee today yet because I slept in but I’m contemplating making a cup. It’s cold and windy out and snow is falling like crazy. I’m supposed to brave the weather for some work pants and unfortunately I have to pay a bill so I guess it’s time to get ready to bundle up and freeze my buns off. I might just wait for the pants tomorrow morning because I’m not looking forward to the cold bus stop. I can walk a short distance for the bill so that’s not nearly as bad. I’m really not a fan of arctic weather. I need an Eskimo coat. And moon boots.

Good morning everyone! I’m finding so much affirmation this morning even in the ridiculous infomercials this morning. No coffee yet but I did have a bowl of cereal with soy milk and collagen and a scoop of chocolate powder mixed in. Hopefully I can get to Walmart today to get a couple pairs of pants for work without freezing and still make it to group. Hopefully they don’t cancel again. I’m not over this cold completely but I’m trying to keep feeding it which seems to actually help the symptoms. I’m probably going to take a nap since I woke up way too early.

Good morning all,

Yuban gold when I'm lazy and don't want to grind whole beans, also my soul mate appreciates me not using the bean grinder to make the 2nd pot whilst she is asleep. It's much quieter to dip my spoon into the can of Yuban ?

Hope you get over the cold soon Josie

There are good points about everything. A good excuse for at least some more window shopping! :D

It is colder here now, at the moment, but if it is the same tomorrow morning I may be able to get out for a good walk in firmer conditions than the squishy earth there has been lately.

I am now looking forward to my coffee later this afternoon, having just finished lunch.

Finishing the second cup having had some lovely eggs toast and jam.  We lucked out and the temps here were a bit warmer than forecast.  Otherwise the heavy rains had would have been snow.  I'm sure my sisters and brothers to the north got hammered.

Have a great day.

Hugs,

Hi all!⛄

It's been the year without a winter up to this point. But winter finally os trying to get started. Got snow Friday night, and will be -4° tonight.

Lots of love and a good morning hug,

Timber Wolf?

Well, I’m not better yet...it’s cold but sunny so hopefully the snow will melt off now that it’s washed over the grass and sidewalks. I’m sure it’s a slippery wonderland right now. I’ve got to get ready to go so I don’t miss group later. It’s going to be interesting to find work pants because I’m sure my butt won’t fit my usual size. But they have to be new and a specific color and no jeans, so that eliminates everything I already have that fits. I’m probably going to be in the fitting room. Wish me luck and shoehorns!

Not bad here.  There was only an inch of snow on the ground at midnight and this morning about 7 inches had accumulated.  Much less than predicted.  Seems the storm tracked further north than expected so it will end sooner too.  It is much colder though, still at 14 degrees F.

I hope you find something that meets the needs Josie!

Currently 42/34 wind chill. cold wind cuts right through you. Looking at a winter storm advisory 2-6inchs. some places may get 9. Hope it clears by Tuesday so I can get over to another appointment in Cheyenne. No big deal if I miss it. But will be calling for an appointment with my new PC Dr. SO I can start HRT.

Go Cleveland Guardians!  I love baseball and I loved playing it when I was younger.

My view is we are "dependent" on government, because as a society, we are too lazy to stay actively involved. So, we let politicians do our bidding for us.  I think we'd be in a better place government wise if we policed the actions of our politicians.  We elected them; they work for us.  Sadly, we are allowing them to run amok.  We are where we are because we have chosen to let politicians make all decisions without us.  Remember "by the people, for the people?" That was the intent of our democracy.  Today, however, it is "by the politicians, for the politicians," the people be damned.

"Play Ball! Batter Up!" is the closing line of the National Anthem as far as I'm concerned. It's the call of the Home Plate Umpire and signals the start of the game. I grew up in the TV and Radio broadcast of the St. Louis Cardinals. Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Tim McCarver, and Mike Shannon, were the voices on my transistor radio. KMOX 1120 AM pushing 50,000 watts of Class A clear-channel non-directional signal. It could be picked up all across MO, IL, IN to the East. KS, OK, CO to the West. IA, MN to the North, and KY, TN, AR to the South. There has always been a rivalry against the Chicago Cubs, in the National League. As for the American League, I have to pull for the Kansas City Royals. I've also been a Little League Umpire, and fan of everything the Little League stands for. Going to Williamsport, PA and seeing the Little League World Series is in my top 10 things to do on my bucket list.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good evening everyone,   I don't think my mother ever cooked a meal that I didn't like. We also had a kitchen where mom fixed the food, dad filled your plate, and you eat it. It wasn't until our baby brother was born that we could have Pop-Tarts for snacks. Before that all snacks had to meet mom's approval, and in her opinion wouldn't prevent you from eating supper.   Well my day started off on a good note, but has become frustrating because my IT person didn't transfer my saved videos I use for teaching. Then I found out that they didn't save any of my book marks for websites I use frequently.   Best wishes, stay motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

The number is relative to method of deliver, the time of the dose, and when the blood is drawn. However, I do want to keep away from DVT and other potential issues. I assume I may be getting backed down from my current dose, but my doc told me to stick with the higher dose, so? I also wonder if this has anything to do the my breast growth and mental changes that have been happening over the past few years, like I have some estrogen sensitivity so a little goes a long way or something? I don't have enough data to postulate, but who knows!   With weekly, subcutaneous, shots you expect to see big swings of serum level estradiol from shot to peak to trough. My doctor is interested in mid-week testing (for E and T levels only), which would be post-peak blood serum levels but they will be higher than trough. Most, if not all, resources I've seen online is to measure at trough (which I might do just to do it next time) along with a SHBG, LH, and other metrics.   This is from transfemscience.org for Estradiol valerate in oil, which is very spiky compared to some other estradiol combinations. It's also for intramuscular, which will have a slower uptake and is usually dosed in higher volume due to the slower absorption rate from muscles. They don't have subcutaneous numbers, which I would expect to see similar spikes but higher levels at similar doses due to the relatively higher absorption rate direct from fat.   Are you doing pills, shots, or patches? And when you do get your levels checked are you getting that done when your levels are lowest or some other time?

Both of my parents were from the “North Shore” of Boston.  My mother Lynn and my father Swampscot.  They had an early 1900s Scots-Irish New England diet.  My sister and I were born in the 40s in Ohio well away from New England seafood and in an area where food was more German and Polish.  My first experience with liver and onions was during basic training.  They ate salt cod but never forced us to eat it same with oysters.  My dad ate oysters but my mother wouldn’t.  Anyone who ever ate an oyster can figure that one out.  I grew up eating lamb.  My wife won’t touch it. I love brazed ox tail, again no way. And the list goes on.

My mother was German, so yes, I think it was a cultural thing.  If I'd known you when we were cleaning out my mother's place, I could have sent you her "threat jar".

Wow that is a high number for Estradiol good grief! Testosterone levels are better than mine. I don't remember my Estradiol level but testosterone was 80. To me that is really high but it was in the two hundreds the check in before last one.

I don't understand why this would make a difference being a "dad" I mean, as far as how they would grow.

I don't see why not. I have worn forms since I came out.
    • MaeBe
I have never worn breastforms, but I assume as long as they don't aggravate your nipples you could.

Every week I've been excited to take my shot, so it's never been an issue. Yesterday, however, I woke up and started my usual "slow roll" and then suddenly realized I had breakfast plans that I had to rush out the door for. After, it was straight into work calls, and then I got the notification from the doctor about things being too high and all the while my mind had completely slipped that I needed take my shot.   Given that I am not asking for medical advice, but sharing my journey, I will note my results: Estradiol at 447 pg/mL and Testosterone was 23 ng/dL, up and down from 26 pg/mL and 526 ng/dL respectively before treatment. Almost flipped the bit! The doc would like my Estradiol closer to 300 pg/mL, so we'll see what Monday's tests state.   Oh, and I teased the dinner with old soccer teammates and never updated the thread! It went well. There were a couple funny moments. One guy, who I was worried about their response, greeted me with "Hey, you've lost some weight!" 😎 And a friend who lives near me picked me up on the way to dinner exclaimed, after we learned one of the invitees might show up with a date, "Wait! We could have brought women?!" To which I instantly responded, "You kind of did, bringing me!" Everyone got a good laugh out of that. 😁

To me there isn't that much difference other the measurement, which side the zipper is on and men's pants have bigger pockets.

I hope this is not stupid question..I have yet to start n not sure if doc will approve..but once you start growing buds n such, can you still wear forms to get to the size you were?   I'm a dad, so when I start blossoms they will be smaller for a long time n probably need surgical augmented..that's fine. I don't want to go ddd to aa to ddd..   any ideas?   thank you
