Good evening all.

Been going crazy trying to get three workstations ready for Windows 7 end-of-life. Installing patches, upgrading hardware. Now have two of the three unbootable, but the third one works great. If I can just get the others going!

This is so unfun, but necessary because these computers will go "dark" (disconnect from the Internet) at end-of-life to continue as my graphic workstations.

So I will likely be scarce for a few more days.

Cheers, TA

So my wife surprised with some new bras today. A very pretty blue one and a green and white one. I got to say I love this woman. I also got her to tell me her thoughts on my transition finally. She is ok with the dressing and even with HRT. However she isn’t so open to the idea of the surgeries, not exactly surprised by that. At least I got her to be honest with me.

also I don’t know why this post is trying to quote you Tammy, sorry I can’t seem to get it off

It's alright Justine. The weirdness of computerized machines never ceases to amaze me. I believe they're haunted.

Good Morning. So I barely slept last night. Instead I read books. And I'm back at school. Which really doesn't make me that happy. But it's better than being at home so that's a benefit.

My positive wave of euphoria just keeps going.  I had an amazing weekend and the final tally was 5 friends and my two children all being super supportive and accepting.

I also hit "send" to the Director to our division I work for.  I have been waiting for an email reply all morning chewing my nails.

He called me with a few minutes ago the had same extremely supportive attitude and he is very driven to make sure we inform everyone at my comfort level and then he wants to set up meetings with my hospitals to do the same.   With me!  I am blown away.  The Director!  That's like 3 levels above my supervisor.

Though I do feel very special I shouldn't be all that surprised as I knew him from high school.  LOL

So although my Monday is beating me up at maximum work overload my mood is still riding Cloud 9.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Fantastic news Shawna! I'm glad (almost) everybody in your life is being supportive! This is hard enough to do without people you care about coming down on you.

All I did today was three and a half-hours in the gym, chiropractor and a trip to the pharmacy to tell them that I don't need my Estridiol renewed right now because I can't have any for five more weeks. I'm thinking about lunch, then I'm going to write until it's time to talk to my therapist.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Hugs!

Just got back from my recert for my c-pap machine at VA. Went in all girl mode, Sweater dress, leggings, purse. This was my first time in girl mode in the primary doctor waiting area. (meaning a lot of people. I did get some looks but I just did my thing and waited to be called. No worries.

I was able to get out and home  and changed before my youngest got home from work. He would surely blab to my wife.

Good morning

I just made coffee.  It rained again last night signaling the impending cold front.  We’ve had 70s for the last few days, but that’s done for a while.

My wife and I have been doing water aerobics a couple times a week.  It’s helping here knee loosen up finally and it’s good for me too.

enjoy your day.

Good Morning, on my 2nd cup already, the snow turned to rain overnight, the air is cool and moist now. My skin can feel the difference. This time of year, I use way more moisturizer, love this lavender hand creme

Have a nice day

The mix of snow and rain is ending here but my electrology appointment was moved since she had a number of cancellations and called it a day.  I'm at the point its just touch up anyway.  Soon I'll go out and fill the bird feeders with seed as they look empty.

Oh yea another crap-tacular commute this AM. Big snow storm here in our area.  Again....

I lived.

Not much death and destruction happens at 10mph.  LOL

I had coffee and my audio book so I was slow and easy.

But I got to tell you I am getting tired of white knuckle driving conditions.  I'm not worried about myself as much as I am the idiots who have 4WD and think they can do interstate speeds on back roads. .

I agree, and I'll add those that think "All Season" tires are the answer for New England weather.  We've run Nokian Hakkapeliitta winter tires from Finland for many years.  Love them.

I have 4 wheel drive and all season radials and make sure to go slower in bad weather like this. Sure I can get going better but ice is ice and still slippery no matter what. On the flip side I hurt my back a couple weeks ago on New Year’s Eve and it has been hurting since. Coffee is on and I’m relaxing before work.

Set up my appointment with the endocrinologist today. Mar 10 at the Denver VA. VA is even springing for a room for me to stay and head home the next day. So hope all goes well.

I do remember having to be out in all weathers with work. One issue I found with these people who drive 4WD cars is that when going through floodwater slow but determined it was infuriating to have a 4WD come the other way without slowing down and potentially flooding my engine with their bow wave.

As Rachel said - Ice is ice. I remember years ago deliberately travelling on the empty snowcovered path (sidewalk) (technically illegal but safer) at the side of a country road which was covered with black ice on a trials bike. Even with one of those ice is still tricky but a layer of snow, if not too thick,  is no problem.

Latter days in the car it is more of thinking what silly things others would do. It is a little un-nerving to travel down a back road covered in snow though and see a trail of cars in the hedge bottom, wondering if you are next.

Good morning everyone. A belated Happy New Year to you all. I’m back from a bit of an absence. Was dealing with a bit of stuff in my life and had shut myself out of pretty much everything  for awhile. After a friend reached out and some good chats with my therapist, I’m feeling much better. Started hormones 3 days ago, yay!  Also have had some good conversation with my wife, I think I’ve got my feet back underneath me and keep stepping forward again. So it’s Friday now, looking forward to my morning tea shortly and the end of the work week for me later this evening.

Have a great day! Stay safe for those of you having to go out in bad weather.

Yes especially at first it's a real rollercoaster ride! Between the highs and lows, going from being ecstatic one minute and crying uncontrollably the next I found that every emotion that I felt just added to the affirmation that I was on my way to being the woman I was meant to be. It's a wild and fun ride so hang on tight!

Congratulations KathyLauren! Congratulations Willow! I could do with a narrower waist, I'm built like a barrel! Someday things will get back to normal and I can commence HRT. Soon, please, soon!?! TA

@Susan R Thank you so much for your advice! I have always been irregular, but when I was 14 I did have anorexia which caused me to not have a period for an entire year. I am now at a healthy weight, and my doctor is not worried about the irregularity especially since my mom and older sister were both irregular for a long time. I did download clue and will be monitoring whether they seem related. It seems like a great app!

I would like to comment on this subject. I think for me it’s more how I feel. I own both female and make clothes. I use to have mini skirts and dresses but I had to sell them because money got tight. I had a wig but I got rid of it because it was to hot on my head and made me itch plus it wasn’t convincing me I was a woman. I sold my dresses to. I’m down to panties and nightgowns now. I can choose my undergarment on how I feel that day. My men’s clothes are unisex so it doesn’t matter. I’ve bought men’s bright clothes to bring out my feminine side. I can also choose how I want to present inner self. Sometimes I will shave my legs and other times I won’t. My personality though is more of a woman’s. I’m a writer, journal, soft spoken, very emotional, love romance, and love to dress cute regardless of its men’s or women’s I am always put together. I thought I was a trans man but I’ve begun to see in my journey that I just have female traits. So am I a cross dresser? I will never label myself because labels mean you belong to a group. I am me and if I am truly free that means I can be a woman or man. When someone or myself needs a little love that is when Tessa comes out and when I need to think logical about something I use my woman’s intuition. If I need to be strong and brave my manly side comes out that is not to say woman aren’t strong and brave but in my case that’s when my male side shows up. I do think I primarily live in my woman brain though. If this has made sense to you or helped you in anyway please comment.    love to all    Tessa 👩‍🦰

I tried to talk to my mom a little but she just makes me feel like the way I feel isn't correct like I'm wrong in some way for feeling this. I might try and talk to my aunt though.

She finally got back with me I got my spironolactone. The only bad news is I'm pre diabetic. Which worries me, because she knows I'm diabetic according to me telling her, my health records and the metformin I take. Oh well no more fruits I guess. Also I was low in Vitamin D. I used to drink close to a gallon of milk i day, but I gave up everything but water when i quit drinking pop. All I know is I'm happy again. Which is extremely rare. So I need to savor the moment, before it leaves. Big hugs and kisses to everyone who comes to my aid when I think the sky is falling.

Hormone blockers/testosterone is really the only way, or you could just be in constant stress like me. You have to be patient, these things take time. It is possible that she wasn't trying to lie to you, many parents suggest the same thing while being unaware of the hormones in birth control. I usually just try to wish the testosterone to appear, maybe if I just flex enough it will be beckoned into my systems.
    • Susan R
Wow, great news...very happy for you @KathyLauren!

Hi Emma, glad your here taking advantage of the wonderful forums here. I’ve been helped so much and I’m sure you will be too. It does sound like there’s some kind of gender related issue happening but I’m surprised it’s NOT hormone related.   High stress, anorexia, obesity and other weight issues can also cause similar irregularities. Has anyone diagnosed the exact reason for your irregularities?  There may be a clinical link between your “off and on” gender dysphoria and these mensuration irregularities.  If it was me, I would keep a journal or use an app like ‘Clue’ to keep close track of these two traits to see if there is any correlation between the two.  I’m no doctor but I always wanted to play one on TV.   Dr. Susan R🌷

Damien,   I agree completely with @TammyAnne.  I had no clue when I was young.   I would look at girls, and be jealous of them.  I wish I was a girl, but certainly never said anything to anyone, I was a boy and that was that.  I fought with that for a long time.  Most of my adult life I thought I was an abomination for feeling and wanting to be more feminine.  Then I would get overly embarrassed and put it out of my mind, only to have it return again.  I finally went to a therapist about being depressed and as we talked about things it came out about my feelings of wishing I was a girl.  To me wishing was not the same as “knowing I was a girl”.  Anyway, my therapist finally told me that I was transgender and always had been.  I argued with him, how did he know?  Well he recounted all the things I had opened up about.  I had to admit, it made sense.     There really isn’t any one way to be transgender.  Not everyone knows early.  Not everyone understands their feelings until someone else points it out.  All to often, parents or spouses deny that you could be trans, it’s just a phase or but all the cis based things you’ve done.  They end up more embarrassed about it for themselves then they do wanting what is best for you.  Try to find a professional to talk to about how you feel.  They should truly know the differences.  Can’t pay?  Try planned parenthood.  They help transgenders. If nothing else they can get you to someone who can.     Willow

Hi everyone one.     our Governor has not told everyone to stay at home, YET!  But last weekend the weather was nice and people ignored the distance orders on the beach an on the water. So now the beaches are closed to everyone, all boat ramps are closed, all short-term rentals are banned!  For a place that lives on tourists it’s pretty tough on the businesses.   So, this morning I was looking in the mirror and I saw my wife looking at me.  I asked her “What?”  She replied nothing but I knew there was something.  I asked her again later.  She fessed up, I was looking more feminine.  She thinks my breasts are changing although I don’t see it.  But I have to admit I could see my general shape is changing. Narrower waist softer features less or lighter body hair.   guess my HRT is working.  That makes it a good day.   Willow
