Issues still going on

So depressing and heartbreaking the unacceptance from my ex and my parents after coming out as a transgender person. They are not willing to accept my gender and my new name. Very traditional religion based conservatives. They always talk negatively about my transitioning and they want to "change me back". My ex especially behaves totally violently and angrily to me since I moved out this February. Physical abuses, verbal abuses. I can't avoid to see her because I am not willing to give up seeing my small children. At one point I became suicidal, and depressed today too. They always find something to stress me out. I understand they are going through hard time too, but why they have to hurt me all the time? Just wanted to share. Even I have many friends and support system in place, still many times I just feel so lonely with this and so painful going through this.

I'm sorry to hear your close family is not behind you.  Unfortunately some religious types only see things their way.  I was raised to believe "someone" else would be the deciding factor at the end of my life, not now by my neighbor, co-worker, family member, etc...  They want to change you back to conform with their notion of who you ought to be, not yours.

The best thing for you (it was for me) is to be the best person you can be.  Transitioning has hopefully made you a better person in many ways.  Live it!  I trust that things will work out for you at some point, hopefully soon.  <Hugs>

Have you seen this video?  Its about a woman who transitioned up north in Jasper, Alberta.  I see you're quite far up there in the Yukon Territory.   I found her journey to be inspiring to me.  Hopefully you can take something from it too.

Hi Noemi Vikki,

It saddens me to hear you're having a tough time with your family. Just remember as Jani said, we are here for you and we care.

Lots of love and a big hug,

Timber Wolf?

Thank you Jani and Timber Wolf...it is sooo difficult when she accuses always. She said I am fake and other girls don't want my company. I am sure that I don't pass everywhere every time, but this kind of comment is so detrimentally affect my confidence, which is pretty strong otherwise...

Don't let these words get you down.  It is her own lack of confidence speaking.  You have chosen a fresh path for yourself in order to be happy and real!   Keep that confidence high.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
