Hallquist Loses Bid for Vermont Governor

Phil Scott, Vermont's incumbent Republican Governor, defeated Christine Hallquist, a trans woman.  With 98 percent of precincts reporting, Scott had 55.3% while Hallquist had 45.5%.  That's quite an impressive showing against an incumbent in a statewide race.

 

Lets hope she runs for office again, and soon.

I was watching this race as Vermont is a neighboring state.  She certainly put up a good fight.  I am so proud of her.  I can't say I would have been as strong as she was.  I also hope to see her running again soon.
