Reaching my target weight

That’s what the system says. It’s all veggies, protein, and fruit. Lots of fiber. I assume that’s why. But idk. Here’s a quick example of a day

meal 1: 2 eggs, 1c spinach, 1c oatmeal, 1/2c strawberries, 2tbsp peanut butter

meal 2: 2 eggs, 1/2 c quinoa, 1/2c asparagus

meal 3: 1c lean ground beef, 1c cauliflower, 1/2c spinach

meal 4: 1/2c seasoned chicken 1c brown rice 1/2c jicama

meal 5: 4oz salmon, 2c garden salad, 2tbsp dressing, 1/2c pasta

meal 6: (snack) 1/2c blueberries

its very similar to what we did to get ready for our wedding with the insanity program, and we both lost like 30-40 pounds. The exercise routines are rough. My exercise numbers this morning were from 0 to end of workout in 45 mins with a 5 min break in between. And this is week 1. It will ramp up eventually having 1-2 hours of exercise a day cut into 2 workouts. Without the food you can’t do it. This girl is 5-4ish I’d guess and looks like about a size 4 and that food list is from her. It’s one of her food days.

Will it work ??‍♀️  But people like Shaun T and tony Horton created it. For now... In Beachbody I trust. ?

That is still so much food and then once you reach your goal then what? Somewhere along the way you will have to make adjustments to what you eat and what level of exercise you can commit to in order to maintain yourself.

Dieting and then going back to business as usual will result in gaining all the weight and then some back.

Just be careful. I don’t want you setting yourself up for failure.?

I am so proud of myself that with me taking baby steps on changing my diet and slowly introducing exercise and with the holidays which was not good so having to get my weight back down I have been 1 week Alcohol free, I am 2 weeks soda free.  I am back at 1 week with no junkie foods like chips and candy and cookies and take out.

I have been noticing that since I have been introducing more fruits and veggies and eating grains that it does not take much to make me full.  I have noticed now that I have been eating smaller portions and instead of getting that stuffed feeling, I have that nice content feeling where I have energy instead of eating till stuffed and cannot do anything.

Now the big push that I need someone to light fire under my behind is pushing myself more on exercise.  So far I am still doing very little mild workouts like mainly situps and crunches.  But I have seen when I stepped on my scale yesterday that I am at 225lbs.

So I am really happy that the baby step method on changing my diet has been working and keeping me focus.

@Kirsten Hit me up on Facebook please to be lighting a fire under my behind to make sure that I am exercising

@RithiaAllen.if you have Facebook, friend me and drop me a message please on the same to get that fire burning my behind.

Lots of Love

I’m currently on a low calorie diet where I specifically intake less protein than I need because I’m trying to not only get closer to a healthy female weight but need to lose upper body muscle. But I’m also doing a low impact 30 minute lower body exercise first thing in the morning to help my body burn its own muscles and feed the lower body muscles like glutes and thighs. It’s not easy but it’s working. I’m ravenous by 11 am and then I have to watch my calorie intake or wait until lunch break which is excruciating. I’m down to 1205 calories a day and trying to get closer to 135 lbs. If I keep to my diet I can reach my goal in 16 days to a month. After that I’m going focus on adding body fat back to myself and hopefully I’ll be on HRT by then. I’m prepared for that change in diet too. I’ve got collagen to add to soups and other food that I can cook. That’s supposed to help promote proper fat distribution and booby growth. The rest of my day is full of unconscious exercise like walking or doing things with my hands at work. I’m not exercising my arms much but my feet swell up and I have to pamper them once I get home. It takes a day for them to return to normal feminine form.

Something is up with me.  Last week I have been averaging 938 calories.  I am watching what I eat, my portion control has been smaller on meals and I am not eating to be stuffed but eating to be content and have been having energy.  I have been getting my heart rate up and active.

My meals have been:

Red beans and rice

home made bean and cheese burritos

made a home made chicken salad

water to drink

Whole Milk

When I stepped on the scale in the morning on an empty stomach naked so I can have a better correct weight, I show that I have put weight on instead of losing weight.  I went from 230 to 236.

Wonder what is going on with me

Did you poop or drink water later at night. Both of these can account for pounds. You could also be bloating if your calories are low and your exercise is high but gaining weight. Also if you are switching scales please keep in mind no two scales are exactly alike.

Lastly sugar will screw up the metabolism. Avoid it as much as possible especially in processed foods.

Today’s weigh in is a little later then usual because I was up late assembling my old Core 2 Quad computer. I weighed myself at 3:30AM and I was 207.4 pounds so I know I lost weight but I don’t know how much. So if tomorrow I don’t have much of a loss I am not going to freak out because of the late weigh in. Anyways today at 11:00 AM I weighed 206.4 pounds.

That said tomorrow anything less would be splendid.

I guess Rithia. But if I continue to do daily exercise and eat the same I should be a-ok.

And actulaay the 2400 is my maintain caloric intake. So my diet intake is actually only 1750.

My week this week will be

meal1; 2 egg white cups southwest style and a cup of strawberries

meal2; taco salad

meal 3; chicken wrap

meal 4; 1c fruit

meal 5; chicken broccoli Mac n chz

meal 6; 1c blueberries.

Yum!!

That sounds very realistic and I'm sure you'll have no problem losing weight at that calorie intact especially with a s much as you work out.

That makes more sense. 2400 calories is maintaining with an active lifestyle.

I sure hope so. It is a lot of food. But it is literally 3/4 fruit and veggies.

It was a little weird cooking a weeks food today though. I have 50 food trays coming tomorrow so all the meals will be packaged up tomorrow. It is nice to know all I have to do is take out a tray and eat it till next Sunday though! Woot woot!! I’m gonna have so much extra time. ?

Thank you for the kind words, Kirsten.  I wanted a new pic of me wearing less makeup. My wife saw my previous avatar and said it was too much.  I always listen to my wife.

It’s very natural and looks wonderful Susan.

Kirsten, that food tray idea is awesome. I’m probably not able to do that yet because my fridge is a loaner dorm fridge till the manager gets a full size fridge replacement in here (who am I fooling? I’m only getting a full size again if I move to another place) but anyway good tip to control portions. The only other way to do that is by getting the food from the store that way and it’s getting expensive. Speaking of which I should cook something for the week since I’m not going to feel like it after work.

I am using the potion control containers too to set up my meals.

Green= 1c veggies

purple= 1c fruit

yellow= 1/2c carb

red= 1/2c protein

orange= 2tbsp of nuts or dressing

blue= 1/4c of healthy fats

2tbsp= oil

I get 4/3/3/4/1/1 a day. It’s split into 6 meal/snacks. It does take up a lot of room though. Especially with 2 of us doing this. We use all 50 of the trays. Fills the downstairs fridge. Good thing all the beer that was in there is gone. Lol.

So Monday weigh in was at that same 196.4. But this weekend was all about prep and using up old stuff. Beer chips pretzels etc etc etc. today starts the new diet.

So all I’ve learned so far is that egg white egg cups are gross. Lol. It’s like eating a plain flavored slimy sponge. Definitely gonna have to think of something better. But this week it’s eg cups every day at 6am with a cup of sliced strawberries. The berries were great. And I’m looking forward to my 9am taco salad! Yum! Nothing but water to drink too.

Today is also day 1 of Cize for real. We did some learning over the weekend but it was definitely not a hard charging workout to say the least. Out of the 8 moves I have like 3 down. I mean who puts a box step in a workout routine!?! Shaun t that’s who. Lol. And my wife said our dance lessons for the wedding would never pay off. ????

lets everyone make this a good week!! Go get it girls!! ❤️❤️❤️??

My worked includes forms I learned from my training. It’s great cardio and strengthens the abdomen. I have also started doing the v sit to help target those muscles too in order to burn more belly fat.

For today’s log entry I weighed in at 206.1 pounds.

I walked 10.71 miles and burned 3897 calories while eating 1047 calories worth of food.

My weigh in this morning at 7am when I stepped on my same digital scale.  I am at 230lbs.  No clothes on and before I ate or drank anything.

I think yesterday was just bloating

Quite possibly. To give an idea 500ml of water is roughly half a pound. I typically drink about 2000 - 3000ml of water in a day. That is about four pounds of water. If something that is eaten like sugar stores to the body it is possible for water to be stored through chemical conversion on a molecular level. In short sugar causes bloating.

Thank Rithia.  So I have done some workouts on my core.

I have done 5x raised crunches of 10 each

Then I have done 2x planks on my elbows and holding for 1min each

Then back over on my back and did 2x halo holds for 1 min each

Then I wrapped it up with a halo hold but then doing scissor kicks

Talk about really feeling it in my core area.

Good morning y’all! Well I made it thru day 1. It’s only gonna get easier. ?

ate my portion controlled meals and nothing else. And I got 90floz of water down. So that part was good. As far as exercise I did my video and another 15 mins on the mill.

21 floors, 5 miles, 2700 cals burned, and 48 mins of total exercise with an avg heartbeat of 119!

Its killing me not looking at the scale but it is what it is. Monday will hopefully be well worth the weight!

How did everyone do yesterday?

Today is weigh in day for me.  Of course, I forgot what day it was and already started to drink my morning coffee before realizing I still needed to weigh in.  I have no idea how much 4oz of coffee adds but I figure it'll make next weeks weigh in all the better...lol

Here are my updated results.

Using my home scale from Oct. 5 - today:  31.5lb loss.

Using doctors scale from Sept. 25 - today 35.5lb loss.

Weight loss needed to hit target weight: 18.5lbs

Good luck to everyone in this thread on your diet & exercise goals this week.

      The experience was the same for me @April Marie. I slept much deeper and I woke up each morning feeling so much more restful sleeping with forms solidly in place. For me, wearing breast forms at night started when before I was a teenager. I had no access up to modern breast forms and certainly no way to buy mastectomy bras back then. I wore a basic bra my mom had put in a donation box and two pairs of soft cotton socks. I have some crazy memories of things I did in my youth to combat my GD but regardless, these makeshift concoctions helped me work through it all.   All My Best, Susan R🌷

      Colorado isn't exactly a Republican place, and won't become one anytime soon.  I think those folks might be better off not spending their time playing Don Quixote.    We certainly have our share of California "refugees" moving into where I live, so I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing Coloradans too.  I suspect the trend over the next few years will see the blue areas getting more blue and the red areas getting more red as anybody who can relocate tries to find a place where they fit better.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
      Well, at least it'll be a place some folks could choose.  Options are a good thing.

      My family would have gobbled that jar up in a minute or two.  When we do have pickled herring, its usually for Christmas.  I didn't grow up with that particular dish, but I grew up in a Greek family so I like just about any kind of fish if I can get it.  However, ocean fish and freshwater fish taste so different.  We usually have more catfish and tilapia to eat than anything else.    What I can't quite get used to is the tons of cabbage my GF insists on eating.  When you live with a Russian, there is always cabbage soup.  Always.  When I first moved in with her, breakfast was "shchi" for soup and either bread or "kasha" which is a bowl of boiled buckwheat with butter and salt.  Those dishes can be made in any number of ways, some are better than others.  In the winter, it can even be salty and sour like kraut.  Not exactly sauerkraut, but packed in tubs with vinegar and salt so it keeps partially for the winter.  But I drew the line when the cabbage soup included pieces of fried snake one day.  😆

      Good evening to you as well @Mmindy   That is awesome that you have support from her side. My dad has communicated with me once and that was because he was forced to. His new wife wanted to spend time with my kids. He hated me so much he was in the process of taking my rights away as a parent to my two boys. He was talking to a lawyer and I called him out on it. I don't love him at all. I'll respect him because I wouldn't be here without him but I wished I had another father. My uncles don't talk to me and unfriended me on Facebook. Almost all cousins except for two are still Facebook friends but they don't give me any support. My mom said she won't support me with that but she has said that she loves me. I have nieces and nephews that are still Facebook friends but they have yet to talk to me. I have one sister that supports me out of three. The other's disrespect me by deadnaming me. They have never called me their sister. I think for them they think it's still a phase. They don't ask questions about me being trans. I have to bring it up and on the look of their faces they don't look comfortable about it.

      Good evening @Ashley0616,   I just got offline with HP tech support trying to get my printer tool box icon locked to my tool bar. This is one of the most important features of my printer that I like because it keeps track of ink, paper, and scanned documents. I'm diffidently not a computer geek.   I'll catch up with the other bookmarks next week. We leave to go home for the Easter Holiday with our families. Saturday with her side, and Sunday with my side. What's odd about that is I'm out to more of her side and they're reluctantly supportive. My side on the other hand are less supportive, and my sister just under me in age will not acknowledge my being there. She will be constantly moving to keep from dealing with me. I'm dead to her.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      I used to follow baseball and the team I would cheer for is Boston Red Sox. My favorite player was Papi. He was an awesome guy and even held a child during the National Anthem. I haven't watched baseball for a long time. It just died off to me.

      That stinks that nothing transferred, and no bookmarks were saved!

      I'm doing patches for now but I think soon I'll go to shots because it's hard to alternate when you are doing two xx patches at once. Unless she gives me Estradiol and progesterone

      My view is we are "dependent" on government, because as a society, we are too lazy to stay actively involved. So, we let politicians do our bidding for us.  I think we'd be in a better place government wise if we policed the actions of our politicians.  We elected them; they work for us.  Sadly, we are allowing them to run amok.  We are where we are because we have chosen to let politicians make all decisions without us.  Remember "by the people, for the people?" That was the intent of our democracy.  Today, however, it is "by the politicians, for the politicians," the people be damned.

      "Play Ball! Batter Up!" is the closing line of the National Anthem as far as I'm concerned. It's the call of the Home Plate Umpire and signals the start of the game. I grew up in the TV and Radio broadcast of the St. Louis Cardinals. Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Tim McCarver, and Mike Shannon, were the voices on my transistor radio. KMOX 1120 AM pushing 50,000 watts of Class A clear-channel non-directional signal. It could be picked up all across MO, IL, IN to the East. KS, OK, CO to the West. IA, MN to the North, and KY, TN, AR to the South. There has always been a rivalry against the Chicago Cubs, in the National League. As for the American League, I have to pull for the Kansas City Royals. I've also been a Little League Umpire, and fan of everything the Little League stands for. Going to Williamsport, PA and seeing the Little League World Series is in my top 10 things to do on my bucket list.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      Good evening everyone,   I don't think my mother ever cooked a meal that I didn't like. We also had a kitchen where mom fixed the food, dad filled your plate, and you eat it. It wasn't until our baby brother was born that we could have Pop-Tarts for snacks. Before that all snacks had to meet mom's approval, and in her opinion wouldn't prevent you from eating supper.   Well my day started off on a good note, but has become frustrating because my IT person didn't transfer my saved videos I use for teaching. Then I found out that they didn't save any of my book marks for websites I use frequently.   Best wishes, stay motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      The number is relative to method of deliver, the time of the dose, and when the blood is drawn. However, I do want to keep away from DVT and other potential issues. I assume I may be getting backed down from my current dose, but my doc told me to stick with the higher dose, so? I also wonder if this has anything to do the my breast growth and mental changes that have been happening over the past few years, like I have some estrogen sensitivity so a little goes a long way or something? I don't have enough data to postulate, but who knows!   With weekly, subcutaneous, shots you expect to see big swings of serum level estradiol from shot to peak to trough. My doctor is interested in mid-week testing (for E and T levels only), which would be post-peak blood serum levels but they will be higher than trough. Most, if not all, resources I've seen online is to measure at trough (which I might do just to do it next time) along with a SHBG, LH, and other metrics.   This is from transfemscience.org for Estradiol valerate in oil, which is very spiky compared to some other estradiol combinations. It's also for intramuscular, which will have a slower uptake and is usually dosed in higher volume due to the slower absorption rate from muscles. They don't have subcutaneous numbers, which I would expect to see similar spikes but higher levels at similar doses due to the relatively higher absorption rate direct from fat.   Are you doing pills, shots, or patches? And when you do get your levels checked are you getting that done when your levels are lowest or some other time?
