I know it's a simple gesture, but it does remind me why voting matters and how all politicians are not the same!

I'm so glad the times are changing.  I hope this is just a glimpse of what we can expect in our future.  Something like this was seemingly impossible just 20 years ago.  Thank you for sharing this.  I love good news!

Yep, @Susan R, in times like these we need all the good news we can get. And as you say this would have been hard to imagine 20 years ago. Interestingly, the trans flag itself was apparently created in 1999 so I think this is a fitting gesture for it's 20th anniversary!

That's a very nice and thoughtful gesture, by the congresswoman.

 

When they showed pictures this week of the new 2019 US house, the mosaic of people was very interesting and telling.

 

On one side you had the vibrant color and diversity, far more women.

 

On the other side you had mostly, ummm well you know.
