Food cravings

I wanted to share and see if others have had the same craving as me, but just recently I was craving chocolate like a cis-gender woman.  I have been on hormones for 1yr 1mo. And was just craving chocolate like crazy.  Then not to mention that I am trying to workout and lose weight and here I am needing chocolate.  I did get chocolate and had a small fun size bar to watch my sweets and portions for losing weight and after I had that small fun size bar my craving is now fine.

Has anyone else have had chocolate craving like that?

I buy the Hershey's Nuggets by the 3 pound bag and they hold me for about a month.  I don't eat them constantly, but every few days I will eat about 3 of them.  Other cravings of record for our kith and kin are salty foods and DILL PICKLES!!!!!

The worst time for me succumbing to cravings is the week leading up to Halloween. We always buy the big bags of mini chocolates and such to give out to the little ones, but I fall victim to the the small portions they provide, it's not enough to have one or two, but more. It takes real will power to pass by the big bowl. I love pop corn for my salty cravings.

There are huge benefits to eating chocolate. I buy a huge canister of cocoa powder and in the ingredients I found out that there’s biotin, several other vitamins good for skin and noticed that just drinking a glass of cocoa powder in my milk once a day has improved my teeth like I never expected. It’s also a good way to boost dopamine. It’s truly a happy inducing substance.

Pickles are good because they have electrolytes and aid antioxidants. They are also diabetic friendly. I absolutely love kosher pickles.

Thank you all very much.  So I guess it is normal to start to crave chocolate.  I did feel better after eating chocolate.

I am not a chocolate fan although I do eat some once in awhile and as far as pickles go. It's the same and I do buy low salt ones.i dont like salt that much. Just my 2 cents worth

What a great topic so soon after Valentines Day.  I have a dear trans friend who prefers the day after when chocolate is 1/2 off in sales.  I do love the 70+ cacao chocolate bars sold at Trader Joe's.  I love nippling on a section with a cup of tea for desert at night.  Such a great taste to savor.

Hugs,

I absolutely adore dark chocolate. One year my bosses wife gave me a huge chocolate block from some expensive chocolatier and I ate chunks from it for months. It was in my freezer and I used a mallet to break pieces off every time I got a craving for it. I’m not a big fan of milk chocolate though but the real rich dark chocolate is to die for! It’s like heaven in my mouth.

I have managed to cut down quite a bit in recent years, but have always had a sweet tooth. Even when at school I had super thick chocolate spread sandwiches for lunch daily, and a large bar of chocolate went as soon as I started it. Maybe hormes make it worse, but I cannot imagine how!

I just think of it like this: I’ve always loved chocolate and it should have been a clue to who I am long ago! Lol

like others I also have also loved chocolate but now even more so, I cannot get enough of Cadbury's Dairy Milk Chocolate and especially the milk chocolate with hazelnuts it is almost an addiction.

I used to like chocolate on occasion, but never plain. Always in a pb cup or something like that. But I literally can’t remeber the last time I had chocolate at all. I have lost all desire for it since transitioning. I was craving pickles a lot when I first upped my water intake for hrt, but that’s gone now too. I tend to crave things like bread more than anything else. And I think that’s due to my diet choices more than anything else.

90 to 100% cacao has very little sugar. It's not the chocolate or the fats that harm you. It's the sugar!

I make my own chocolate with whole cacao beans and sweeten it with an organic erythritol/stevia blend i.e. Truvia, Pyure(walmart) or Splenda Natural. Read the label. Make sure it DOESN'T have maltodextrin, dextrose or any thing ending in -ose. Bad juju!!!

Chocolate good!!! Sugar bad!!!

If anyone wants to learn about cooking and making things like this just ask. I know there are other Chefs around. I just know about how to lose mass weight AND KEEP IT OFF!

FYI - I'm back to my 165-70# from my 190# holiday faux paux. I don't fluctuate. Last Holiday season was the first sugar I had splurged on in a decade. Sugar BAD JUJU!!!

PM me if interested. I had started a thread about this last year! Nobody was interested...

Hey Cyndee, we shop at Traders Joes all the time but I didn't recall ever trying these snacks.  Apparently, my wife has been holding out on me all throughout our marriage...LOL.  I mentioned these to my wife and she said, "OMG, those are soooo good...I used to buy for everyone at work...I love the Raspberry ones too!"

I'm doubt I'm supposed to eat anything like this on my diet but on my next "cheat day", guess what I'll be buying?

They are like so sinfully good Susan, warning, I do love the raspberry ones as well, so looking at the bag, what's the cost ?

5 pieces dark orange sticks = 120 calories

17 g of sugar, oh wow....

Cheers

https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/several-attorneys-general-made-abusive-legal-demands-get-trans-patient-rcna147910     This is a complex issue and I'm no expert, but the actions of these GOP Attorney's General don't pass the smell test.  Their motivations and actions are highly suspect and they lack any credibility.  What else is new, right?  I guess it will all come out in the inevitable court fight.   Carolyn Marie

I went to work with my husband today.  He asked me this morning if I wanted to go...of course I said yes.  I enjoy being with him, and getting away from the house for a little while.  He spent half the day in his office, which I think is why he asked me along.  He made a nest in the corner for me, where I can plug in my laptop and do my stuff...nobody minds me being there.     But today ended up with a strange opportunity.  I had a conversation with my husband's boss, the company owner.  They want some basic graphic design work done, so I think they might hire me to do it.  Nothing fancy, not nearly as complicated as what I've attempted to do for our county.  So I have a meeting with them on Monday, just to look at some details and see if I can do the work they want.  And especially talk about when they need it done, because I still work pretty slowly.  I don't really need or want the money, but its nice to feel like I can do something again.

I went to WM today with the objective of buying sandals: they would be women's, but look like men's; they would be brown or black, not white.  I realized the cheapest way to go  was to go for flip-flops, which I observed were prevalent in the store. So I checked out the women's.  Flowers. White shiny straps. Nothing that could possibly be men's. The best deal was one flip flop for $3.98.  At first I thought that was a pair, then, nope.  And because I comparison shop (is there the same thing in men's?) I found the cheapest over there was $6.98 for a pair of flip flops in green that also match my women's cargo shorts that I love.  Doing the math, finding the pink tax.  Rip off.  I have found a blue tax this way, but usually they charge women more for something than they do men. I guess women tend to lose one flip flop at a time or something. Weird.  The pairs were a lot higher.   So, following my rule, but unhappy with it, I bought the green men's flip flops.  They were the cheapest.  Later wife of mine complimented how masculine I look in my matching shorts and flip-flops.  Inward groan. We have not discussed the Subject in a long time because I think she forgets it is there as soon as the conversation ends.  Or she is trying to talk me out of this.  Not sure.  We only discuss it when necessary, and how often do most couples discuss whether one spouse is one sex or the other? Outside of here, I mean.  So we very seldom talk about it and she is happier if she does not know about it. Super stealth.  I do the laundry and I shower in the shower in the wing away  from the master bed room so I have my own shower.

I'm very glad that everything worked out even better than you thought. It's a tough spot to be in and I know the exact feelings. I'm still waiting to apply for divorce under abandonment so I officially can meet someone who one day I can call someone my prince or my queen. Although the desire for someone is fading because of everything. it's even more amazing that she was your high school sweetheart! Looking forward to the next entry.

Awww thanks for listening everyone. I have another 5-6 songs in this style that I started recording at the same time, so hopefully I’ll finish the next release soon.   Yes, exactly. Everything was easier about this project, mainly because it felt authentic. The energy was very different, because it was such a pleasure to express myself without a filter. I laughed a lot.

Thanks for listening @Mmindy.   You’re welcome @April Marie. I think Sally Can’t Dance is an underrated album.

Well I had an interview with the local Ford Dealership for an opening in the parts dept. It sounded positive. I was told I would here by tomorrow morning.    Other than that just sticking around the house. I haven't done much, the weather is cold and yucky. Doesn't look like good weather till Sunday. Maybe tomorrow I'll fire up the heater in the garage and see about getting the other brake hose put on the Explorer.   Have a good rest of your day/evening.   Hugs, Kymmie
