Hi,

I'm 38 years old and I live on the countryside just outside Stockholm, Sweden. I work as a negotiator and legal advisor for a labour union. On my spare time I enjoy doing blacksmithing and other metal fabrication.

I've always identified as a cis male. Since I was about 14 years old I've identified my sexuality as bisexual, until recently when I started contemplating whether I'm pansexual. I just don't care much about the reproduction organs of my partner. There is so much other stuff that's much more important to me.

After being single for three years I started dating again. Dating apps was a completely new thing to me and after swiping for a while I had come across a few females that were open about being trans. I've encountered people being open about that in real life. But I thought that if I was to date someone that's trans I don't think it's fair that the one I'm dating have to educate me on everything she's going through. After spending some time on google I came across this forum and thought that it would be the perfect place to learn about transition and what ever issues are comon to run into. It will also help me in my work since discrimination is one of the things I help our members with. I also think it's my obligation as a fellow human to be an ally to anyone who is a target for bigotry and opression.

Since I consider myself a total noob regarding everything trans I will occasionally most likely use the wrong terms and may even come across as a bit unsympathetic from time to time. If I ask a question it's not an argument. It's only a question. I'm very grateful for anyone having the patience to correct me and/or educate me whenever I'm expressing myself in any way that might come across as offensive since it's never my intent (unless you are a nazi and/or a bigot).

Despite being a noob I'm happy to support and/or help in any way I can. Unfortunatly labou1.thumb.JPG.f992737d1c5df279f86bf5b9dbab70b8.JPGr legislation looks very different depending on what country you are in so I might not be of much help if you don't live in Sweden. But I'm quite good at reading and understanding legislation so if you tell me where to read I might be able to help you interpret the legislation you are struggling with.

I've already browsed around and I'm so happy to have found this place. ❤️

Welcome Mediator, I hope you find your time with us enlightening. Where I am in Western WA state, our society is fairly open about such things, anti discrimination laws exist here in WA state for Gender Identity / Expression regarding housing, employment, access to medical care for example. Trans people live openly here. It's not a perfect world, but it's pretty nice overall here.

Have a wonderful day

Welcome to Trans Pulse.  I'm glad you're here to learn, as we always need more allies and people who understand.   It is important that, if you have not already done so, you read the Community Rules, so you know what the boundaries are and the etiquette expected of all members.  If you have questions, please do ask.  We'll be happy to help out.

Hi Mediator, We're a very helpful bunch here. I'm sure you'll be able to get all the information you need either from some of the regulars or buried deep in the site somewhere. I've learned a lot since joining. I'm sure you will too.

Good Luck,

Susan R?

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
