The comments are disgusting. There are plenty of deranged people out there that do things to themselves that they shouldn’t every day. For this moron to sit there and blast all trans people and the entire medical community is awful. It is clear that this person is still mentally deranged and is simply looking for soptlight any way they can. From ptsd sufferer to a confused non-binary semi celebrity and now an anti trans anti medical protester!? Someone has serious issues and really needs intense therapy. Just wait once this fifteen minutes of fame disappears he will come out with some other outlandish story. Makes me sick.

I haven't read about this before or seen the video, but I'm not surprised.  They aren't the first to de-transition, they won't be the last, and they won't be the last to try to get fame and/or money out of the deal.  The fact is that they didn't go about the process of transition the right way, they were admittedly mentally unstable, and now they're paying the price in unhappiness.  There is plenty of blame to go around.

 

The bottom line is this; for every Shupe out there, there are thousands of people who have successfully and happily transitioned and perhaps had their lives saved by doing so.  You will NEVER see them on conservative media or read about them in conservative papers or web sites, because they don't fit the right wing narrative.  Instead, you get the 1 or 2 or 3 unhappy Shupes of the world.  It is what it is.

First of all, the news site itself is one that jumps up and down with glee when one person our of 1.6 million people pulls a stunt like this one.  That makes him 0.000000625% of Trans people in the U.S. and since he has an earlier role model together they become 0.0000000125 of the Trans in the U.S.  We have 4000 times that number on this web site.  Talk about some really insignificant losers here.  SAD.

Yeah seriously. It seems to me this is another example of why hate keeping is important to an extent and this is what happens when it is bypassed.

 

It is also very disheartening to see so many people using God and the after life as fear tactics to keep people from transitioning.

 

 I’m Christian and the hypocrisy needed to say someone is going to go to hell when we all have failed in one way or another is next level ridiculous.

The modern concept of hell is a relatively new idea that’s totally fabricated. The original meaning of the word is the grave, so everyone is going to die/hell. The modern Greek word hades, is not even close to the same idea however crossing the river Styx was a well known idea in the New Testament era, so they tried to translate the original idea of hell to crossing the river Styx, or visiting hades, as a way of acknowledging that everyone dies. Where it was blown way out of context is when the early Catholic Church under the control of Constantine started using the idea of hell as a threat, but the threat was more tangible because it carried the power of the state. Now it’s simply generational brain washing that indeed goes completely against any benevolent teachings of the New Testament. That’s why I don’t participate in organized religion. But I applaud those who can and are enlightened enough to try and make their congregations better environments.
