5oclock shadow

I have a constant 5oclock shadow no matter how close I seem to shave. Any advice?

Short of using foundation, I don't know how to fix that without electrolysis or dark enough, laser hair removal which are expensive.

Dermablend foundation from Ulta will do a good job of beard cover since it can be used for Tat cover as well and CoverFX from Sephora does OK too.  Moisturize your face before shaving, then use a brick orange lipstick on the beard area, and then go for the foundation, although you do not need the orange if you use the Dermablend.  HRT will not make the beard go away, but will cause it to be easier to shave.

Both red lipstick and Mehron’s HYPER-FORMANCE Auguste CreamBlend Stick worked for me when I had that issue. The latter worked better.

A nice orange cream eyeliner always did well for me. It’s a little closer to your foundations and powders as far as consistency. Easier to cover after as well.

Think primary and secondary colors. If you have a dark beard it has a “bluish” tint to it. So to counteract it you use the opposite color on the color wheel which is orange. It helps balance the hue.

But you’ll still need a heavy coverup for over that. Electrolysis sucks, is expensive, and hurts pretty good, but within a couple months you’ll start to see a difference. That’s ultimately where everyone ends up it seems. Tried and true.

Yes on your face but go lightly.  Kirsten's explanation is correct.  Get started on electro!

Yup, what Kirsten says :)  - I use a Nyx orange concealer which cost me £8 from Amazon and as a little goes a long way it will last a long time yet. you put it over your beard area before putting on your foundation and then it removes the tint. Just remember to blend well at every stage. The only way to get rid of hair long term is the painful advice the ladies have already given.

This is very true. I am finally seeing results from electrolysis. But my beard is naturally very thin. My Mother was full Northern Cree. Me being XXXY I take after my Mother very strongly. Very little body hair at all. It takes me several days for any shadow at all.

5hat said electrolysis is worth it if one can afford it. My Ins covers mine...

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
