here is a poem that isn't too great tbh I don't have much experience with poems but...

 

 

M t F

y r o

    u r

     e m

 

When your body does not feel like your own,

And your mind says things different from the world around you,

And a thing that isn’t supposed to be here has grown,

When people don’t see you as who you are it makes you so blue,

 

And after all this time you only now realize,

What you truly are,

You were scared of this convinced you were just one of the guys,

But these feelings say otherwise and it's bizarre,

 

There are a million things that could go wrong,

If I were to tell my parents about how I feel,

Maybe I could find something that says what I feel like like a song,

No those are someone else's words, words I can not steal,

 

But there are some people who see you for you,

And it leaves you wondering how many others would,

It could be a million it could just be two,

And it makes you want to die and leaves you wondering if you should,

 

When people you know say things like “you’ll be such a good groom”,

And you know how wrong those words truly are,

It makes you feel like you should’ve never left your room,

It makes you feel like you’re just a fading star,

 

But there is a way for that to change and it starts by coming out,

After you could even start HRT,

Maybe then you won't always feel the need to pout,

And you could even start to feel happy,

 

But that is one of a million scenarios,

I'm not being down just down to earth,

It could all go wrong who truly knows,

But maybe you will be the person you were meant to be since birth,

 

And it would be the beginning of the true you,

And who cares that you might not fit the norm,

At least when you looked in the mirror you wouldn’t see something that looks like it belongs in the zoo,

What you would see is simple it would be M(y) T(rue) F(orm).

Your poem is amazing. I am closeted MTF and your poem really spoke to me. I just want you to know that your poem has really made someone’s existence better if even just a little bit. ?
