'politically Correct Operations'

An ex-sailor’s treatment for a sex change that could cost the NHS thousands of pounds sparked outrage last night. Andrew Cross, 46, wants to have surgery so he can live out his fantasy of being a lesbian. The news came a day after it was revealed one in six GP’s have seen patients die as a result of a lack of MHS funding. Ex-Royal navy reservist Mr Cross, of Barry, South Wales, is undergoing hormone therapy and psychological treatment in hospital before the operation next year when he will become “Anne Marie”.

Matthew Elliot, chief executive of the Tax Payers Alliance, said: “Cases like this demonstrate the problems of a centrally run health service. When ministers are in charge, they allocate money to politically correct operations rather than addressing real medical concerns. These operations shouldn’t be funded when ordinary tax-payers are having to go without life-saving drugs and critical operations.”

A new survey revealed two thirds of GP’s have been told not to prescribe certain drugs by their NHS Trust, even though results could be fatal. A spokesman for the Department of Health said: “Treatment in the NHS is delivered according to the patient’s needs.”

Wow that wasn't all that friendly was it,? ok... where shall we start?

Not only are we fantastists we are selfishly causing others to die?
