Wig Stores

I am just wondering if anyone knows any decent wig stores in the Portland, Oregon or Eugene area?

I do not personally know of any in your area, but the way I have found them where I am was by going to their websites which you can get with "wig stores , city" and seeing if they advertise their brands of wigs.  Good brands for beginners are Revlon, Jon Renau Louis Ferre, and Raquel Welch, and some others too. Motown Tresses are a good brand for people with dark very curly hair. If they carry those brands and are in a safe area of your town call them ahead of time and ask.  Wig stores are accepting places generally speaking since they do not care who buys their stuff.  The reason I am answering this way is because we do not have a whole load of members in your area.

Hi, Paris.  I agree with what Vicky said.  Most wig stores are happy to welcome any customers.  If you are nervous about trying on wigs, ask if they can give you some privacy.  Most will do all they can to accommodate your needs.  Be sure to tell the proprietor what style and length you're looking for; that will help them narrow down your choices.  Also, if you have a max price in mind, tell them that, too.

Natural hair wigs can be pricey, but even good quality monofilament or other man made materials can be expensive.  But hair is one of the first things people notice about you, so get the best you can afford, something that fits your face and natural hair and skin tone.  The last thing you want to do is get something that looks like it was meant for a Halloween party (unless, of course, you're going to a Halloween party).

Best of luck!

Completely agree. Also, it's fun to go try on new looks.

I've got a great little store just around the corner. I'm going to be very sad if the Stay At Home mandate kills them off.

Hugs!

I have bought wigs from Paula Young and the Wig Store, both online. I was too afraid to go wig shopping in person. The wigs that I bought were not expensive, I think I only paid 30 dollars for them, but they were on sale. People thought  that it was my real hair. If you go to my profile there is a picture of me with one of my wigs. When I stopped wearing them people commented on my new haircut.

I have bought from Wilshire Wigs out of N. Hollywood for 20 years.  These are quality wigs that look extremely realistic. A cheap looking wig will draw a lot of unwanted attention.

I have actually gone to their brick and mortar store to get several of my wigs.  They have very good stuff.
