Hi, as you can tell by my username my name is Rob, or Robert. I am a trans male looking for support. I was recommended to this website by a friend on another forums website. Not much to tell about me except it is debilitating living in the closet and a family member of mine would probably harass me for discovering I am transgender due to the fact they came out way before me. I also struggle with other issues that I won't mention for privacy purposes. I like music and movies. Not much to tell about me except that I'm glad I joined this website for support and I hope it can benefit me. Thanks for reading.

Welcome Rob.  This site was important for me.  Finding that I wasn’t alone in an environment of non judgemental acceptance certainly has helped me get through rough times.

Try to relax and enjoy.

Hi Rob and welcome! This forum is full of friendly, supportive folks, who helped me a lot through my trans experiences and transition. 

 

For what it's worth, I've seen a number of articles about multiple family members being transgendered. I can't help if there is a genetic factor to these 'coincidences'.

 

Also, I can't speak for you, but perhaps the family member of yours who came out inspired courage in you to realize aspects of your own identity? 

 

Again welcome. Feel at ease to post and inquire here, it's a great supportive community.

Hello Toni,  perhaps subconsciously it could have helped but after reading more and watching videos and movies about transgender-ism it helped me realize my identity. Thanks for the reply, it means a lot. :)

Hello Rob and welcome!  Please join in the conversation.  As to your trans family member, I wouldn't be concerned.  We are all individuals.  We live our lives and do things on our own timeline.  I sure they did as well.

      I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.
