Okay, so here's a point I would like to bring up but it may make people mad. (*oh noooo*)

You say that Jesus is God because he lived and did all of these magical things.

I've walked on water, too.

That's right.

Oh, you don't believe me?

Why not?

Because I don't have proof?

You don't need proof. You need faith.

Sigh, I don't want this to be blocked for being offensive or anything. It's just some points that I am tired of people who are against us talking about them.

Why can't people just let. us. be.

I get the frustration, and I am at least regular in my church attendance, and see the points you are trying to make without feeling personally attacked. There are Trans people who do have deep spiritual parts of their lives and they see what you are pointing to.  Beliefs that are over 4K years old are being weaponized, because it is easier to spew out "old knowledge" that it is to change and learn new information, especially if people have not been prepared to study the new information, but its easy to take things on "faith" which simply means someone who knew only the little years ago still knows all things today.  Not true and needs a change.

Cause they are miserable. If they were happy, they would not be trying to make others unhappy. For some, it makes people happy when they make others unhappy. Some people are just miserable. The extremist go to great lengths to hurt others, and use religion as an excuse. One cannot profess love, then turn around and do hateful things to others. Those types need to mind their own business.

Exacrtly!!!! It's sickening to think anyone would beleive otherwise.

This reminds me, based on what you've said, if you haven't watched it already, there's a section from a stand-up routine of Lewis Black I think you might enjoy. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the video, I just remember it's from back when George W. Bush was president (the more recent younger one, not the older one from the 80's). The particular segment is a scathing satire of anti-homosexual sentiment and the absurd notion that it could destroy american families. If you hear the phrase "Gay Banditos"...you've found it :)

I'm NOT disagreeing with you at all here, so don't get me wrong. And I absolutely understand the frustration. I don't know what (if it was even any one thing in particular at all) prompted this obviously genuine need to speak out, and I will not ask because it's none of my business unless you choose it to be, and that is perfectly OK. So what I CAN say, and just hope I'm near the mark is this:

If I saw some sort of "straight pride" event, then I'd say, in this current climate, ESPECIALLY here in the US these last few years,  it's DEFINITELY most likely to be a matter of hate speech.

But, it does bring up a point that I think is important for EVERYBODY (gay, straight, cis, trans, bi, questioning, ANYTHING) to always keep in mind: "Equality" means "Equality". For EVERYONE.

Just as an example, I'll ask you this: When you feel pride at being trans, do you intend that pride at who you are to also double as being hatred for cis individuals? I imagine I'm likely not going out on any limb here to assume that's probably not your intent. And again, don't get me wrong, there's absolutely no doubt there ARE, unfortunately, narrow-minded individuals out there will take their hatred and bigotry and disguise it, like you say, as "straight pride". And that's very unfortunate.

But, if trans and cis (not to mention gay, bi, straight, fluid, and everything else) are ever to achieve equality, then everyone, on all sides will have to accept that either EVERYONE is allowed to feel pride in who they are (trans, cis, etc...) or NOBODY is allowed. Because that's what equal means: "We are the same".

Cheers, and I hope you find the serenity you're looking for. We (humanity) are all in this together...

Being from the northeast i walk on water every winter.  From what i know of the New Testament trans folks shouldn't be a problem.  Those throwing stones certainly aren't without sin.

Hugs,

Charlize

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

Good morning everyone,   It’s Thursday well as least I took my Thursday Medications as sorted out in my weekly dispensary caddy. Today’s coffee is Folgers Breakfast Blend served HOT, black and strong. My wife and I are going to explore the Western and Southern coasts of Saginaw Bay and hang out in Bay City, MI. today.    @Willowonce @Abigail Genevievepointed out the word usage in your post. I read it and laughed, enjoying the snarky tone of the comment. Since it was spelled correctly I thought maybe you meant for it to read just as you typed it. Then the kinder gentler me thought it would be better if I changed it. I’m not saying I corrected it, I just changed the severity of the sentence.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
