Passing starts from within

Hi all

Passing as a term in crossdressing or being ergo Transgender, meaning to be accepted.

Passing starts from within, i used to video myself after i was dressed to see myself, the way strangers would see me...to pick out points that might of had me clocked. This method helped greatly in my earlier days.  Now, obviously dressing feels more natural to me.  Dressing as a guy is feels more un natural to me.  I seem to get by rather well these days.   People i meet, normally very polite..if i need change..they will say, there you go love.   I get wolf whistles...hey i love it...why are women so deadset against recieving them lol.

If dressing feels not just comfortable, but feels correct and natural on your body, it will fill you with an aura of positiveness and self confidence, and it's this confidence that projects out to other people.  For if you have these feelings in place it will feel so natural and you will feel like a natural woman. Confidences shines like a beacon, just beware of complacency avoiding male mannerisms..practice until its second nature.. uneducating from male and practicing everything female.

Regards

Melissa

Thank you for your post.  The beauty of this journey is that we can find such a comfort with ourselves and the world that the worry about passing disappears. Funny how self acceptance appears to bring the acceptance of others.

This "uneducating from male and practicing everything female" caught my attention and my interest. Do you have any advice or wisdom for those of us who are completely new and naive to MtF beyond our own private bedroom?

Heathick I would spend time watching people to see how women carry themselves and move differently than men.  Also notice now women speak, in the inflection and tone they use.  You don't have to go "over the top" and get all super fem.  Most women are not, they're just themselves.  You can be also.

Me too on above, it can be very validating, however many cis women feel that this type of recognition is "objectifying" them as sex objects (it's a thing). Eventually you would grow tired of it. My daughter is an "attractive" young woman, she tells me she is burned out on "-excited- guys".

I love the Mary.  When i no longer thought about myself and gender i think that might have been an end to a process.  My mind went back to all the old stuff filling it.

Yes, this is me!  I was telling a friend just yesterday that I just don't think of myself as transgender (even though I am).    I just think of myself as me.

What was the old announcement on TV?  "Now back to our regularly scheduled program."  Ahhhhh!

Wolf whistles Melisssa - Nice to hear. I have not had any but have had someone whistling tunes, including 'Pretty Woman' lol. Not for a while but I don't go out quite so provocative now. I have had my teenage years lol. I did a little bit of video early on as well to see how my walk compared. Clothing can be seen in a mirror but dynamics cannot easily. After a while it comes more naturally anyway.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
