Could use some help or advice

I have been transitioning for about 7 years now, I have been on HRT for as long and have lived full time as female for the last 2 years. It has been great but I feel it is time to make the last step and get srs to complete my transition. 

 

Thing is I have no idea where to start, I have not regularly seen any therapist for about 5 years, I could really use some info on where I should start and surgeons who are reputable,  I could really use someones help in formulating a game play so to say

As Mary notes, there are a couple different techniques that are in use now.  Educate yourself on what suits you, then look for a surgeon who performs that surgery.  While there are a number of popular doctors that everyone wants to go to, there are just as many that don't advertise much but their websites will tell you what they do.  Many of these don't have the years long wait lists and in fact you may be able to have surgery within months.  If someone was too far away for an in-person interview, many are doing video appointments so that wold be a time saver so you would only do an on-site visit with your last couple of choices.  It all depends upon whether you can or want to travel to the east coast or stay out west, if you have insurance or will pay out of pocket, etc.   

 

All the surgeons I'm aware of follow WPATH and will require a couple letters of recommendation from mental health providers.  Your doctor will give you the specific requirements they have.  I looked at these doctors websites and read all I could before making my decision.  If is not totally inclusive of all surgeons.

While its not close to you, this is on the west coast.  I've attended a lecture of Dr. Garcia's and was very impressed.  He takes just about any insurance or MediCal and its a really complete program.  There are also good doctors in Thailand and elsewhere.  More are added all the time.

Even under the best of circumstances, it can take many months to get to the goal.  Most of the best doctors have waiting lists.  So take your time, do your research, and get started!

Thank you all, after looking through them all I decided to contact Weiss hospital as from what I gathered they are exactly what I was looking for!
