A delicate question

So I've been shaving my body all over now for about two months (with the exception of my arms which I wax) and I just cannot get the pubic hair in my groin area shaved close enough. It feels so course, stubbly and rough. I'm hoping HRT will help lighten the hair there to make it easier to shave. Anyone have a similar problem? any solution?

You might do good to just give up on it until you can get Electrolysis done.  I had to shave the area the morning of my GCS which was after I had been on HRT for 3 years, and talk about torture having it grow back as I was in pain and swollen.  Prickles from the new hair poking through the under pants.  It finally grew long enough to lie flat but the misery it caused.  Get the electro or just mow the grass to about a 1" length and it will look feminine and fit well in a bikini.

I use a womans shaver designed for that area. I am not sure as to the extent that pubic hair varies between people though so maybe mine is finer. It is an area prone to ingrowing hair though (and I have seen - even with cis women) so Vicky's advice may be best. It does take some perseverance and care to get to a stable state.

I'm pretty "bushy" in that area, dark haired, but fine.

I can shave 90% of the area, then use a trimmer to shorten the rest.

But it's a constant battle.

So it sounds like electrolysis is probably the only solution If I want to be really smooth there. What a bummer. Thanks all.

I use Nair. Except for the bottom part of scrotum and perineal area. I prefer the standard bottle with cocoa butter added, it seems like it burns less. I think the ph is slightly lower. Most don't recommend this though. Be careful if you try it!

I've tried Nair before. Smelly and scary. I over did it and it gathered in the crease were my leg meets my groin. Burned like the bejesus. I may save up my pennies and buy a small consumer hand held laser removal thingy. Thanks so much for the suggestions.

I hate to be sounding so negative, but save your money for professional electrolysis.  The OTC laser units do not have the power for any serious hair removal, especially in the groin area.  Yes they flash lights and assure you the hair will fall out, but they are ineffective for ANY money spent on them.   Go read about hair growth cycles and you will get a better picture of what happens.  At one time we had an entry about this here on this forum but I cannot find it just now.

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

Good morning everyone,   It’s Thursday well as least I took my Thursday Medications as sorted out in my weekly dispensary caddy. Today’s coffee is Folgers Breakfast Blend served HOT, black and strong. My wife and I are going to explore the Western and Southern coasts of Saginaw Bay and hang out in Bay City, MI. today.    @Willowonce @Abigail Genevievepointed out the word usage in your post. I read it and laughed, enjoying the snarky tone of the comment. Since it was spelled correctly I thought maybe you meant for it to read just as you typed it. Then the kinder gentler me thought it would be better if I changed it. I’m not saying I corrected it, I just changed the severity of the sentence.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
