Porn as Therapy

This is going to sound strange. But does anyone find that looking at porn of the gender you would like to be helpful almost therapeutic. Especially for those who aren't able to pass because of their looks.

Before I started to transition? Absolutely. There was more porn early on as well. I'm pretty sure we all have a "porn phase."

 

Now... it's not like I don't enjoy porn from time to time, but it comes up way, way less.

This can be the case for me too.  Early in my -what the heck- am I and what do I like phase I turned to different porn to see what “did it for me”.  I watched a lot of different and weird stuff.  Most I knew instantly was not my cup of tea. 
I’m someplace between straight and transgender. (Porn). 
But like Jackie said it’s way less now.

Not that it isn't a little sleazy, but it can be a good means of discovering how one woman pleases another woman sexually if you are married and transitioning MtF and don't have any idea beyond previous male mode experience.

Ok so I Am going to show how naive I can be.  
Ive always heard porn referee to as Training films. This makes sense now.

Really? That was SO not my experience. I went the "listen to her body, she'll tell you what she likes." I will give you that most men are too enamored with their equipment. It did take me a couple of years to figure out that my genitals were really secondary to pleasing my wife, but porn didn't teach me that. Before I came out, Susan referred to me as, "Enlightened."

 

Different experiences I guess, but if it works for you...

Well the biggest plus comes when she discovers that suddenly her partner is no longer emotionally distant and is much more in tune with her. The emotional aspect when it comes to intimacy makes a world of difference and it's no longer just some mechanical act.

Yes, that. Intimate acts are SO much more pleasant for both of us now. They take longer because of all the extra cuddling, but that's more of a plus in my opinion. It's kind of funny, now she's always the one that gets up first and I'm the one saying, "You're getting up?"
