waiting over a year and a half for first appointment for GIC

Hey basically i been waiting for almost 2 years for the first appointment to go see my GIC i asked my doctor from bridging HRT and he took blood tests then sent them to the GIC the GIC sent him a letter of instructions and me a copy of the letter. But when i asked my doc about them he just said wait for my frist appointment for GIC to get HRT.... So i searched for a doc that specialises in transgender people but i cant find one local to me. Is there anyone in Wolverhampton area who is trans or west-midlands that knows of a doctor that can help me im pulling my hair out here ?

Welcome to Trans Pulse, Tashia-Mai.  Sorry to have take so long to answer your post.  I was away from the PC for a bit.  I can't help much with your question, unfortunately, but we have quite a few folks from the U.K. here and I'm sure some of them will come along with some advice.  What I do know is that the NHS takes forever to get appointments, because there are so few trained therapists and doctors, but 2 years is still a long time even for them.  I wish you all the best.

 

When you get around to it, please do post a proper introduction in the Intro Forum so we can learn a little bit more of your background.  This is a good start, though.
