Waiting for an appointment...

I have already been going to therapy for 9 months (wow, it really has been that long) for my anxiety and depression, but when I brought up that I am trans, she said that she is not qualified to talk about that. My parents first insisted that I didn't need to go to another therapist, and eventually agreed to schedule a phycharitrist appointment. That took 6 weeks to get, and then 4 weeks to get to go, just to meet a guy who was half an hour late and said that me being trans and bisexual was a sign of a personality disorder. Now I am waiting weeks to get an appointment at the local gender specialist's office, and my mom said that even after that I might have a few month wait. Is there anything that I can do?

Sadly I don't think so.  Well it depends on your area and what is available.  It sounds like every place is slammed though in your area.  Or you haven't found the right place yet.  Unfortunately we must wait just to live...

I am extremely lucky to live where I do as they have all sorts of services out there.  Lots of choices.  I got in to a therapist over the weekend and then the same for my doctors and the HRT.  Like its all fast tracked here.  LOL

I do have to wait for other service to get in to though.  Like to see a dermatologist for my balding and a voice therapist too.  Why they both need a referral from your regular doctor I do not know.  Males bald, its no secret...  Why does it matter if I am MTF?  Voice therapy is not a "permanent surgery", its more a choice to attend.  Why make us wait?
