My name is Bethany, I'm a closeted bigender F/NB. It took me a while to figure it out. I haven't really talked to anyone about it and, honestly although I am happy to have some idea of what I am, I'm also scared for what it could mean for my ties to family and friends. Also, society hasn't been the kindest to people of differing gender and sexuality.

What that means for you is likely change.  I mean that in an overall positive sense.  It’s good to reach out and find others going through similar experiences.  You’ll know what to expect and gain some good insight from others here.  It is true that society hasn’t been kind to us but it is changing slowly.  I know I’d be in a world or hurt right now if society in general was still as merciless as it was 30 years ago.  There are always a few bad apples out there.  You can’t let that hold you back from your search and discovery.

Warmest Regards,

Susan R?

Thanks, Susan. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed lately with this discovery of mine. It took me a while to get here but, I want to learn about myself so I can feel more comfortable with myself being trans.

Hi Bethany,

Welcome to Transpulse. I'm glad you're here!

It is scary when we accept it. But you're not alone. These forums have given me courage I never dreamed I could find. I hope you will be a part of the conversation here!

Lots of love and a big welcome hug,

Thank you. I can't believe how awesome everyone has been so far. It's pretty wild being called by my name by so many. It's just been me in reference to myself until now. ^ ^

Thanks, Kris and Jackie. Your messages help me feel a little better. I'm really happy I decided to come here. I have alot to learn now that I'm not trying to shoulder all of it on my own. Coming here was an important step to helping me come to terms with my truth.

Hi, Bethany!  It's a journey for us all, and we can travel at whatever pace works for each of us.  Regarding learning about yourself, have you explored any resources such as books on gender topics of interest, or finding an experienced gender therapist?

Hugs,

Astrid

Let me recommend a book that just might help you.  The author is Jeffrey Marsh who is a producer of many Trans / Enby short films and music productions.  The book is How To Be You! which is a combination workbook and personal journal for you that I personally have gotten some help from.  Jeffrey is just about non-anything, although Jeffrey does have a male partner who is also a wonderful person as well.  I have met both of them IRL.

Thanks Toni, Astrid, and Vicky. I have looked around for local gender therapists and, I'm lucky to live near a few. I'll have to check it out in greater detail soon.

Thanks, Sara. I'm already much better off now with everyone's warm greetings and words of support. Until yesterday, I was kind of freaking out about even talking to anyone about it but, I'm happy I did.

Hello and welcome Bethany.

I think you'll feel comfortable and accepted here. Lots of nice people, good reading, things to think about, answers to questions and so on. A good place to just be yourself.

I've spent a little bit of time looking through familiar posts, it's kinda wild I didn't realize I was on a different part of the gender spectrum sooner. I'm not sure how long it'll take me to come to terms with it but it's a lifelong journey and I'll get there in my own time. Thanks for being so welcoming to me.

That's a good attitude @LacrimalDuality. We never stop becoming the person we're supposed to be. Sorry, I didn't get to you sooner,  but I'm recovering from surgery. I'm a little out of it. Welcome to the site!

Hugs!

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

Good morning everyone,   It’s Thursday well as least I took my Thursday Medications as sorted out in my weekly dispensary caddy. Today’s coffee is Folgers Breakfast Blend served HOT, black and strong. My wife and I are going to explore the Western and Southern coasts of Saginaw Bay and hang out in Bay City, MI. today.    @Willowonce @Abigail Genevievepointed out the word usage in your post. I read it and laughed, enjoying the snarky tone of the comment. Since it was spelled correctly I thought maybe you meant for it to read just as you typed it. Then the kinder gentler me thought it would be better if I changed it. I’m not saying I corrected it, I just changed the severity of the sentence.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
