I don't know who I am anymore. Non-binary

Recommended Posts

My name is Julia. I have been using the term trans woman to identify myself but I am no longer sure if that is accurate or not anymore.

Who am I? This very simple yet very complex question is what I really want to figure out in due time.

Give it time and you will have the time.  I know that sounds obtuse but learning who you are really does take a lifetime.  The important issue is to realize that just being different from other people is not a crime and is no reason to be ashamed of yourself.

No, no it's quite alright. I know it takes time. It's not the first time I questioned my identity.

Aha! Trick question! You... are You.

That's really the only label that matters. Being You is pretty awesome. Own that. Other adjectives are negotiable. Maybe you're Transgender Julia. Maybe you're The Julia Who Questions. Maybe you're Julia: Destroyer of Worlds. Aside from being Julia, all those things can change with time and experience. Even Julia can go by the wayside if you decide that she doesn't fit. The only thing you have to be is yourself.

In the meantime, explore yourself. No, not like that. I mean you should explore your inner landscape and figure out where you're the most comfortable. Then work to make that your reality. Becoming your best self is the work of a lifetime. Living your best life is your greatest masterpiece.

Hugs!

Hey Julia I being Transitioning for also 2yrs. I still have so much doubts. I think a high power is playing  a joke on us, because he creates us one  way only to f with a body and mind. so I know how you feel, but this place is a great source of knowledge and its helping me to understand that its dose not matter what I am but who I am. Its hard work but I guess the road less travel is traveled bye the brave not the weak at heart. Be Safe, Be Proud , and KICK ASS

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
