I think I might be trans but I'm not sure

Nope

Recommended Posts

Since 8th grade when I first heard about trans people I thought I might be trans. But when I look back I never had a problem with myself when I was younger. I mean I used to ask my friends if I looked like a boy and would get upset when they said no. I always wanted a beard. And there were a few times when I wanted a penis and me and my cousin even made fake ones one time. But that was it. I was ok with my genitals how I dressed, well if the clothes were comfortable I was ok, but that was it. But know I hate my top and the feminine figure my body has. I mean I never liked my top when they were first developing I used to wear a bra even if I didn't have to because they bothered me but still. But I'm in tenth grade now and it's just getting worse. I think I might be trans but I just dont want to be wrong ya know?

Hi @Nope! Welcome to the Transpulse Forums. You have some indicators that may help you find where you fit or if you fit into the transgender spectrum somewhere. My best guess is that you do based on a few things. One of them being this statement...

This sounds like gender dysphoria (GD)...one of the classic indicators.

Over time the problem of GD can worsen which this statement indicates it may be...

Since this is your first post and you haven’t mentioned it, I’m betting the parents don’t know yet but if not, are you planning on telling them..is it a possibility?  If they know, have you talked to them about help? They might be able to get you started on the road to therapy to find out more about your specific situation.  A good therapist with a leaning in gender identity issues can ask you the hard questions, give you some mental exercises to help you discern your truths, some helpful advice and information among other things.

Hopefully, until this all happens, you can get some very good info and advice right here.  You’ll find others here that will help and assist you along the way.  We are here to help if we can. Just know you are not alone!

Warmest Regards,

Susan R?

Hey N.

There is nothing wrong about how you feel. If you can discuses this with your parents that would be great or with a school Consular. You're going to need some one to referral or(  in your parent case) go with to Gender Therapist. We all feel or felt your confusion. Hell I am 55 am I still have major doubts. Glad your here Be Safe, BE Proud and KICK ASS

I tried to talk to my mom a little but she just makes me feel like the way I feel isn't correct like I'm wrong in some way for feeling this. I might try and talk to my aunt though.

      M.   The term bigender works for me because after taking the time to explore my feelings, I kept coming to the same conclusion, that while I felt an overpowering need to express my inner woman, I also enjoyed being a man.  I realized that my personality was equal parts man and woman and to be happy and fulfilled, I needed to express both sides.  There are challenges living a life of two-gender expression, but I'll expand on some of those in future posts.     Hugs,   Sally

Sally, a moderator can edit the post adding "Post 3" if you would like. Let me know and I'll be glad to take care of it. That way your numbering system is in tact.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I thought Hey, I can't be experiencing Gender destroyer because it doesn't fit the narrative, but Hey I can. I am experiencing mild discomfort in relation to my gender. Because and that can be a form of mild form of it this forum because their elements of my gender that are out of alignment with my sign gender at birth. There are elements of my gender I have been holding back on some I did not even know for fear it did not fit was told was not very manly or in some other way not correct for someone who is an amab. I tried embracing and expressing some of these parts of me even for just a little bit every once in a while and it feels like a relief to me like a weight has been lifted.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums @violet r   I think we all were scared with our first post here on TPF. I hope you come to find this site as welcoming as an old friend. Not knowing the type of retail you're in, it is hard to know how they will react to your coming out. I would hope that if it's part of a larger corporation they may have corporate policies supporting/protecting you once you decide to come out publicly. No one here will rush you, or try to slow you down, once you've decided to come out. Some of us are secret sisters, and others of us are as flamboyant as they come. The cool this is you get to choose. You be you.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Welcome aboard, Violet. What a pretty name!   You are among friends here. We are all on a journey, with things in common despite our individual uniqueness. I hope that makes sense!

Welcome Violet.  It's been awhile since i found this space with so many who understand the struggle to simply be ourselves in a society that often disapproves,  It isn't an easy path but being together we can share all the bumps and the joys. You are not alone.   Hugs,   Charlize

I'm sorry it didn't work out for the new job. Nothing to keep you from being on the search. I had a coworker who used to walk out of the locker room saying; "I was looking for a job with I found this one and I'll keep searching for the next one. Never let them think you're comfortable and settled."   The coffee has just finished brewing, and we have a HVAC technician coming in about 30 minutes to do an annual system check.   It's time to get out of my Pj's.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
