10 days and counting to SRS

It’s getting so close now, and of course I worry that surgeries will be delayed again if Covid gets worse, but so far things are still marching along and my scheduled SRS is 10 days away. Of course it will be awful if it gets delayed but I’m a big girl, I’ll just figure out what to focus on next and do what needs to be done... I’ve been going back to school so I will just shift my focus towards my schoolwork and see if I could complete the practicum portion before surgery? Otherwise I’m just going to Work my tail off and get everything ready, eight days from now I have to start the bowl prep process and a clear liquid diet before surgery...

How exciting, @jae bear!  It was only back in March that I was in the same position, so I remember the feeling well.  It will be a whirlwind of activity, but enjoy every minute of it.  I wish you an excellent outcome!

@Jae Bear - I agree with Kathy, it is a whirlwind, and time moves at different rhythm then. My fingers are crossed for you, that circumstances will be kind.

Best

You are heading into the eye of the storm for sure.  It will go fast though, and then the healing journey will begin.

Oh  Jackie, I remember when you first came on board here!  Quite a different person now, confident and beautiful!  I'm happy that you've come to this point and know it will go fine.

Well, just a few more days now, I had my last day at work yesterday and I’m just kind of lying around cleaning up a bit... I have to start drinking the bowel prep gallon of horrors tomorrow, not looking forward to it but I’m sure I’ll do just fine. I’ll make the occasional post here as I am recovering, let you girls know how I’m doing- I’m glad the day is finally coming, sometimes I’m excited about it sometimes I’m relieved, but mostly I’m glad I got this far and things all seem to of worked out just fine!

Good luck! Especially with the bowel prep. That was brutal.

Good luck, @jae bear

I didn't find the bowel prep that bad.  On the other hand, bringing my guts back online afterwards was brutal.  I had enough gas to fill the Goodyear blimp!

All my best to you dear Jackie!  As to the prep, we all must go through the tough time to get to the good ones.  I'll be in touch.

Hugs, Jani

Drink it up lass it all comes out fine in the end!!  Do be sure your doctor lets them give you Gas-X for the first couple of days but you will do fine.

The bowel prep and the fasting is kinda brutal in it's own way, then you can look forward to that first meal on the other side, sure tastes great !

Best wishes

Thank you girls for all the really kind and hilarious comments, a few of those I laughed out loud so hard I think it shook the walls! I’m sure I’ll get through it just fine, I’ve already mixed up the jug of horribleness and have everything ready for tomorrow morning. Not my first rodeo so I’ll just “go with the flow”!

Hugs to you all!

Jackie

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
