no cure for hair loss

Had my hair restoration  consultation with Advance Hair and Bossley. According to then there is really nothing that be can done for me. They can create a crown restoration,( which mean fill the front of my scalp)  but i will still have a bald spot on my top of my head.  Which i can cover with a hair piece or a weave.

 

I also learn that I was kinda of lie to or misunderstood about Finasteride. Its dose not created hair but simply prevents it from falling out, which mean for the past yr i was not going crazy. I was not seem any extra hair , but my doc keep tell me it take time..which i now realizes is -holy buckets-. I hate wearing wigs. I feel so phony with then on.  Once again i get super excited about something only to get gut punch. 

 

Has any one used Rogaine and Finasteride at the same time. What were the results?

I've had a similar experience to you, @Lexi.  Finasteride hasn't really done all that much, if anything.  I do have one transgender friend who, in her early 40s, regained her hair loss (though not at the front of the scalp) after a year on estradiol plus finasteride.  I could really see the difference.  But that seems to be the exception, certainly.

 

It's frustrating for me, but I'm trying to go with the following, meanwhile:  "An Optimist is a bald person with a pony tail!".  That pretty much describes me in real life at the moment... ?
