I was her patient in her 980's as far as GCS goes.  She has also done loads of work helping women whose genitals were mutilated for cultural reasons in the middle east.

A remarkable woman and skilled surgeon.  If I were having GCS done I would choose her.  Thanks for posting, Vicky.

I checked her site as I've known about her for years but if I read it correctly they want $1000 down before consulting... I'm just making contacts and setting up appointments to find out availability, checklist of items I still need to do and document, including hair removal in the nether regions and how long before surgery that needs to be completed, etc. and see what each doctor requires. I am only contacting those doctor I am aware of with sparkling reputations or ones you ladies are recommending.

Thank You

she did? there's something really great about that I think.

What was referred to as "Female circumcision" was also done in a few ethnic communities here in the U.S. as well sad to say.  The one positive thing the reconstruction team found was that the mutilation was extremely superficial and the deeper nerve structure was intact and functional once the surface scar tissue was removed and healthy skin grafted in place.

amazing and so caring and comforting ... I did contact her and asked about availability to talk but not commit the $1000 up front explaining I am nearly 1 year away and am fact gathering. Dr. Kathy Rumer's office called today and I have information from her assistants and will be calling back 2 months from now after some of my homework has been completed.

By the way - if anyone is interested - Dr. Rumer's schedule is currently a wait of about 6 months for bottom surgery and a little more for top surgery...
