I look out my window in central Ohio and it's snowing. Feels soothing and comforting.... what a good feeling to have - contented and smiling.....

What is the weather like in your neck of the woods and how that it make you feel?

We received a few inches of snow a week ago but the weather changed back to usually temperate days so its gone.  Its chilly but sunny today and will be in the 60's by weekend I read.  No more snow in the near forecast.

Would you two quite swearing. that is a bad word. I could say I hate snow. but that would be wrong, I just hate the cold that comes with it.

I would enjoy sitting by the fire. A real fire with wood that you have to start yourself.  with a nice snow coming down. as long as I don't have to go out in it.

I need to find a place were the weather is between 55-80 year round.

It's cold and damp. The sort of weather that makes me glad to have a blanket and a cat in my lap.

Hugs!

I like snow if you can cross-country ski on it.  However, the white crap that falls from the sky here seldom qualifies.  It's not that there isn't enough of it.  It is that the snow is wet, sticky stuff.  I'd even put up with the cold if it meant we could have nice dry mountain snow.  But it is always humid here.  Oh, well, I suspect my skiing days are over.

It has actually been a warmish fall.  It is 7 degrees C today.  Windy, though.  We had a storm yesterday, with lots of rain and high winds.  The remnant of one of those Greek-letter tropical cyclones, I think.  It is still a bit windy now.  But then, it always is here.  Our house is 1 km from the shore of the Bay of Fundy.

I have done everything in my power to prevent snow this year.  I brought out the snow shovels and stationed them at the front and back doors.  I put the roof rake in the woodshed, ready to prevent ice dams on the skylights.  I fired up the snowblower to make sure it starts okay.  And I put the winter tires on the car.  If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.

Well @KymmieL it stopped snowing and didn't stick so I guess I will just go in my studio and write a song.....

It snowed hear Monday night. This brings to mind winters at home up north. One of my favorite things was sitting in my living room with a fire in my stove (which had a glass window in the door), listening to some beautiful quiet music, and watching the snow falling in the forest behind my house. It made the forest feel enchanted!

Lots of love,

Pretty much cold, wet and now we get frosts overnight, so my summer bedding is starting to blacken and will soon need pulling out and adding to the compost heap. Trouble is, it's COLD and WET and it's 'Orrible!

Cold. Wet. Winter weather advisory. My spouse is driving home from farther North today because her father... her ninety-year old blind, deaf, and barely ambulatory father... insists on living in the middle of the woods, alone.

I plan to spend as much of the day as possible wrapped up under a blanket with one or more cats.

Hugs!

It's just cold and over cast here today. Guess it'll be another day in pj's. I need the snow to hold off for another month. Aside from our move I have to repair/replace the fence around our new yard. Anyone know if there's a prayer to the Goddess for this?

I generally just ask the Spider Goddess with sincerity and love in my heart. She's very patient. You need to do the hand gestures though.

@ElizabethStar  My wife is a weather witch I will ask her. How do I know she is a weather witch? There was a huge storm coming our way when we married on December 12th and she had the storm go around us and it hit south and North of us.

Pretty much overcast and a bit cool - 59°F.  I guess that's something like 15° for the rest of the world.

I'm keeping a smoldering fire in the heater, just to keep the chill off.

I was raised in upstate NY, so I like to see a snow, maybe once a year - as long as it melts quickly.  I've lived in the south over 50 years now and am thoroughly spoiled.

It is another overcast day with some rain and about 41F. We have had the heat on for a bit now, so it is helping. I am kind of looking forward to snow in some ways coming up, probably because I don't have to drive to work this winter.

Amen to tele-jobs - easier to be yourself and smile and wear your jammy's

@Shay Can't say in the jammy's all day per the therapist, that is a mood driven behavior that leads to worsening depression for me. However, yes, I can dress and be self expressive all I want with the remote job, as I don't even have to be on video.
