Hair Cut Advice

Hi everyone I am trying to find a hairstyle that is not to femme or to masculine and something that wont need to take to much length off because I am letting it grow long. I am thinking about an emo style hair cut but I dont know how to ask the stylist to give me that style and have her understand what I want. So if anyone can give suggestions on how to explain it to the stylist or if anyone has any hairstyle ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Honey, find a picture or pictures and take them with you. Many hair dressers will know what an emo cut is, but you don't want to risk going to one who doesn't! Hope this helps, Px.

Hi Alyssa

I'm a hairdresser myself.

I think the best advice I can give is to look at other people's hairstyles around you.

If you see one you like ask where they got it done and who the stylist was. I'm sure pretty much everyone would be complimented by being asked that and would be only too happy to tell you where they go.

Also, it's best to take a picture in with you. If you don't it's very hard to describe a style perfectly to the stylist.

Yep, NOTHING beats taking a pic into the stylist. It also helps if you're getting your hair colored (which I've had done a COUPLE of times lately, just for play).
