My first day here. I'm at least wearing hose and heels - kind of a guy in a skirt day for me today. Work to do in my barn, you see.

Anyway, I've been crossdressing for as long as I can remember. I'm 41, so my memory isn't what it used to be. Crossdressing started for me with pantyhose. As soon as I put them on I was hooked. And still am. Then the feeling of high heels. Wow. And I progressed from there. I don't fully dress as often anymore, you might consider me a waist down crossdresser now. I love skirts, pantyhose, and heels. I have a ton of shoes! Ok, I love shopping for shoes.

Well I hope to have fun at this site, and make some new friends.

OK, so I am impressed. You work in a barn in heels!? I've been in heels for ~35 years and even I wouldn't do that! Doesn't the rough floor tear up the leather on the heel? If it was me, I'd put a foot wrong and the heel would sink into a hole or something in the wood floor and I'd go bum over teakettle into something unpleasant. Or I would sheer off a heel catching it on some plank edge. And still tumble into something unpleasant.

Welcome aboard!

Hi, Jennifer, and welcome to Laura's! You've found a wonderful site to make friends and learn and have fun. The

members here are supportive, helpful, trustworthy and warm. You'll feel at home in no time at all.

The official welcoming committee will be along any minute with their famous cookies and cocoa, so I hope you're

in the mood for a snack.

I'm a CDer too, from my teen years (I'm officially middle aged this year, boo!). I've been active and inactive several times,

and my Carolyn-self reawakened with a vengeance recently, which is when I went internet exploring and had the great

good fortune of finding Laura's.

After you have made five posts, you can send private messages (PM's) to other members. You are welcome to send

to me if you wish.

Please explore the forums and chat rooms and make yourself at home. We love to hear more from you.

Yes sir(or ma'am)! B)

Oh, and I guess I'll introduce myself a little. I turned 21 this year, still in college. Even though I have the New York flag under my name I don't really live there. I would like too in my future - bigger and better job opportunities. I'm one of the only Canadian mods, eh.

Anyway...enjoy all the warm welcomes.

:P I bet you won't ask for directions either and drive around lost all day.

Nope not me I'll just be the one balling her eyes out on the side of the high way totally lost because I have no sense of direction. I remember when I first moved up to the DC metro area and was coming home from my first day of work. I manged to take the wrong exit getting onto 123 and rather then getting home ended up passing by the washington monument on the wrong side of the river. >.< Everywhere there where highways and with no easy way to pull off and be able to find my way back on the road I was a complete train wreck until a cop pulled up behind me on the shoulder of the road while I was pulled over crying over a map and took mercy and pointed me in the right direction.

Geesh where are my manners. :D Hi Jennifer. I have some double chocolate cookies for you.

Welcome, Jennifer!

I don't get around here much in the summer with work, grad school, and my hobbies (Civil War reenacting and horses). Just wanted to welcome you. I'm over the lake from you and have gotten up to Grand Rapids a few times (have family farther north in MI). Beautiful area too.

My barn has a smooth cement floor. 30x56 'man cave' where all my tools and toys live.

Wow! Thanks everyone for such a warm and wonderful welcome. The cookies are really yummy, but I only got to eat two before the plate was empty! That's ok, I like to share! (And truth be told, I don't ever want to have to wear control top, gotta watch my girly figure you know.)

This looks like it's going to be a great place to hang out. Everyone seems so nice. Thanks so much again!

I used to live in Barrington Hills, IL. Not too far from Wisconsin. My Grandpa had a farm in near Antioch, used to own the golf course too. Small world.

I'll grab the service manual as a last resort... or when I need torque specs... I just have never found any make up tips in those manuals. And I looked all through the 'Body Work' section!!!

Hi Jennifer

So nice to meet you. I'm sure you'll like it here, the people are friendly and the cookies and coco are great. Though I don't understand where Sally and Donna Jean get the time for all that baking?

LMAO Makeup for a car? I'm pretty sure it says somewhere that painting flames on the side of your car makes it faster at least that's what my neighbor proclaims. OH OH you could do like Homer Simpson and put speed holes in the hood of your car too.

I have shared my doses and levels a lot and no one has said anything. Yeah I put alarms on my phone to make sure I don't miss a dose. I tend to forget a lot of stuff on what needs to be done. I have been also using the calendar on my phone a lot. I missed an appointment because I didn't put it in my calendar.

Feeling better than I did yesterday
    • MaeBe
It's official. My doctor wants me retested after the last results (too high). The test, that she scheduled, was likely too close to the dose. She did tell me to keep the increased dose instead of reverting to my old one, probably because my "too high" wasn't that high. I don't know what the forum's stance is on results, knowing full well the rules against sharing dosage, so I'll keep those under wraps until I know if it's OK to share those. Less to say, it was over the range she feels comfortable with by about 50%, but taken a day earlier than the midpoint value she was expecting. Grains of salt everywhere!   Of course I messed everything up too, missing my dose for the first time, yesterday. I had to re-reschedule the lab I setup yesterday to Monday from Saturday after taking my shot this morning to avoid the same issue with the testing. I woke up and thought, "Thursday, what do I have to do for work today? OH -crap-, IT'S THURSDAY! I missed my shot yesterday!"   Anyhoo. Question for the ladies: does anyone else get a mild zen-like high after their shots/doses? My brain feels lighter and I'm happier and I feel a lot more girlie this morning. 💃

I'm into my fourth month of HRT and just titrated up in dosage after my last checkup. This is my life. 🤭   I have yet to grow out of my B cup bras, but I have noticed more fullness, having started with gynecomastia. I am seeing less gapping in bras with my right breast, which has always been smaller than my left. My areolae are slightly pronounced/projected now, that are larger but not vastly greater in circumference, and I have noticed little to no nipple changes beyond their painful sensitivity.

-It's not a sprint it's an endurance.  -It won't happen overnight. -Seek a gender therapist. -You might lose a lot of support but hang in there. If they truly loved and cared about you they would stay. -Retail therapy helps and plus it builds your wardrobe and shoes. -Makeup is an artwork. It takes lots of practice to do it right and watch YouTube videos on how to put it on or someone who is knowledgeable. -You are going to have roller coaster emotions so don't rush anything.

You have grown more breast tissue than most some only get one size and that is it. I went from 42C to 42DD but I'm also taking supplements. It's risky to take the supplements but to me it's worth the risk.

I'd echo some of the advice in Imma Asher's letter in the book To My Trans Sisters:   Take your time.  See yourself. Be proud.  Be strong. Indulge in the transformation.  Read more.  Put down the brow pencil.  Live.  And be happy.
    • Ashley0616
I hope that there is some kind of justice. It's very sad and it doesn't even mention the family and I could only imagine how they feel.
