Hello, I am Trinket. First of all I want to say that I am so happy I found this site. I am married, and have been cross dressing for years with my wife. We have recently decided that we would both be happier if I started to undergo Feminizing hormone therapy. I would really appreciate it if anyone knew doctors in the Northern Nevada Area that I could consult with? Thank you... :)

Hello, Trinket!

Welcome to the Playground, Honey!

Why don't you get comfortable with some nice hot coco and a plate of Sally's cookies?

It's so very nice to have you here...

I have no idea of any doctors in your area and I'm pretty sure that the ones that you find won't prescribe hormones without counseling of some sort.

There is a ton of liability there. You can make calls and explain to them, but, I'm afraid that you'll have trouble getting a doctor to just perscribe for cross dressing feminization.....

It's hard enough getting them if you're a true transsexual.

Please be careful, Sweetheart...hormones can be very dangerous......

I'm not trying to upset you, Trinket....just trying to be up-front and honest......OK?

Hon, please forgive me if I have mis-understood any of what you're saying.

Hi Donna Jean, It is good to know these type of things. My wife is a mental health professional so you can kind of say I have been having counseling for a couple years now. It is a pleasure to be able to talk openly about these things. Thank you very much for your time honey. Kisses,

Trinket

My how wonderful it is to see you here at Laura's. I am so glad that your wife accepts you. That is wonderful. If you are having trouble finding a gender therapist in your area, you can always find one online who will work with you online.

Welcome to Laura's, Trinket. You'll find this site to be a wonderful resosurce for

support, friendship and information. There is a forum specifically for Cross Dressers,

as well as a chat room on Tuesday afternoon's.

It's great that your wife has been supportive. I'm not in a position to say whether a

a doctor would accept your wife's involvement for the purpose of prescribing female

hormones, but it might be a good idea to seek out a gender therapist for advice at

least initially. You should be able to find someone through the county or regional

mental health association or a Google search.

I know there is a resource page on this site that should help, but I wasn't able to

locate it. Hopefully Donna Jean or one of the other mods can give you the link.

Good luck, and welcome aboard.

Yes - I have two daughters who are therapist - still, I had to find a gender specialist therapist. That's in my state. It's not enough to be gender dysphoric, you must be reviewed to see if HRT (hormone replacement therpy) is right for you. I have talked with androgyne people (a bit more involved thtn CD I think) and recommended they NOT go on HRT. It's not to be regarded lightly. My therapist warned me (I was diagnosed trans) that there are irreperable changes. It's true - I am no way near the same person I was physically or mentally.

I CD for 50 plus years. I always fantasized about being on hormones, but I was really was unhappy I was not physically female - a self-distructive type of unhappiness.

So there you are - find a good experienced Gender Specialist type therapist. Get evaluated - and see where you are and where you can go, but

BE HAPPY - you are just fine no matter what you are. And here at Laura's we LOVE to have people come tell us their experiences. So post post and post!

Rain here. I went to Asheville yesterday, and stayed later to visit some before going down the mountain.  Down here there were a lot of trees down in the northern part of the county.  The power had gone off at the house, but was back by the time I got home (21:00).  There was a thunderstorm during the night.

I used to get ma'am'ed during my 45 years of boy-mode and it drove me nuts.    Now that I have accepted girl-mode I find it quite pleasant.    Either way, being miss gendered is quite disturbing. I upon a rare occasion might get sir'ed by strangers and it's quite annoying.

Good morning Ash,    Welcome to TransPulseForums, I have a young neighbor who plays several brass instruments who lives behind my house. He is always practicing and I could listen to them for hours, well I guess I have listened to them for hours, and my favorite is when they play the low tones on the French Horn.    Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning everyone,    I had my first cup of coffee this morning with my wife, my second was a 20oz travel mug on the way to the airport. Once clearing TSA, I bought another 20oz to pass the time at the boarding gate. I’m flying Indy to Baltimore, then driving to Wilmington, DE for my last teaching engagement at the DE State Fire School.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

In my opinion, the gender neutral version of sir or ma'am is the omission of such honorifics.   "Excuse me, sir" becomes simply, "Excuse me", or better yet, "Excuse me, please."   "Yes, ma'am" becomes "Yes", or depending on the context, "Yes, it would be my pleasure" or "Yes, that is correct."   Else, to replace it with a commonly known neutral term such as friend, or credentialed or action-role-oriented term depending on the situation such as teacher, doctor, driver, or server.   And learn names when you can. It's a little known fact that MOST people are bad with names. So if you've ever told someone, "I'm bad with names", you're simply affirming you're typical in that way. A name, just like any other factoid, requires effort to commit to memory. And there are strategies which help.

@KymmieL it’s as if our spouses are two sides of the same coin. We never know which side will land up. Loving or Disliking.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

almost 45 min later. Still in self pity mode. I cannot figure out my wife. I shared a loving post on Facebook to my wife. Today she posts, you are my prayer. Yet, last week she puts up a post diragitory towards trans people. Does she not relate to me being trans?   ???

Hi Vivelacors!!  Like everyone else said, it is never too late to be you. It does feel too late at times but we can still enjoy our femininity every day, moment by moment!!                                                  💗 Cynthia

Well we have the white rain, about 2 inches. Work is still terrible, with me making stupid little mistakes. Yet, to the boss it is the end of the world. Still on the hunt for another.   life just still sucks for me. I just wish I could be happy for a day. I'd even settle for a couple hours.   Kymmie
