Body Hair Problems

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of trouble with removing chest hair, or rather, the results after I've removed it. Because I'm not on HRT yet (but that should be changing soon!), and because I've got very pale skin and fairly dark hair, I'm left with dark dots where the hair used to be after I shave my chest, or even if I use Nair on it. It looks really weird and obviously it's no good if I'm wearing tops which show my upper chest... I've considered using foundation on it, like I have to with my face, but it just sounds a bit ridiculous! Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Try "body makeup" you can get at theatrical supply companies...hides most everything, scars birthmarks, even "port wine" stains....The guvernator uses it to cover his scars from open heart surgery,,,and the supply companies are in most every town and in every major urban area...also try the internet for companies that sell the product on line...Mia

I have the same problem. I bought the Emjoi Optima Hair Removal System, Model AP-99 for $70 at drugstore.com and had excellent results.

But, just so you know, It hurts the first couple times you use it

You could try Waxing your chest.

After you are on the Mones you could then do laser treatments.

That's my 2 cents, spend it wisely!

thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll probably have laser eventually, once I get some more money, but I'll have a think about the other things - I think I know where I could find them. I had a look on drugstore.com for that hair removal system, and although the price itself was quite reasonable, the postage made the whole thing about £75 / $120, which is a bit outside my price range. Would something like this do much the same thing?

That should work. Alot of the single head epilators can be found locally at a drug store or department store. You may be able to save on shipping costs this way. And try to stay away from the battery powered ones, I heard they don't have as much power as the electric.
