New To The Site And Happy To Be Here

Back when I was 6 or so, I got this idea that sometime you could choose to be a boy or a girl, and I remember thinking that I would be a girl, or course. Alas, it was not to be.

I first recall wearing Mom's heels and stockings and whatever else would fit as being a while later, maybe 12 years old, and a few times venturing into the neighborhood en femme (way before I realized such a term existed)

I've managed to be a productive worker, good husband and father over the years, but while other men see an attractive woman and think impure thoughts, I envy their clothing, their style, their hair, their shoes, their essence and wish it could be me.

I have bought and purged many times. I dress and at least to myself appear to be convincing as a woman, but have to remind myself that I am not and never can be, and I so wish it were otherwise.

It is so good to find a site like this with others who have much the same struggle. I don't know that I have much to offer younger people facing similar struggles other than to say you can get through it.

Welcome to the site! Oh, the number of times I too purged my wardrobe, only to realise that it was something I have to do. Now, I have a reasonable wardrobe, though not so much time to avail myself of it, but that's just done to pressure of work and the risk of insistant callers on an evening, ruddy salesmen!

Can enjoy a late evening dressing though, and boy, does that help me unwind after a hard days work!

Welcome to Laura's Playground. Purging can become very expensive. The next time you have the urge to purge, why not just store your things in a trunk in the attic.

your post caught my attention from your purging statement. i know that feeling well. Mary Ellen makes a good point about storing the stuff. you may be surprised what you can offer here, not only in the forums, but also the chat. stay well, and glad you are here.

Thanks for the welcome ladies. I'll take the advice on purging next time I feel the need. Right now, I'm back in the buying mode.
