Drving In Heels

I let Maggie drive my new car last night, and being the first time I have driven it in heels it was a bit different from my previous car? I was just wondering what others do, and their experiences of it. Do you wear flats to drive, and change into heels when you get out, or do you drive in heels? I've tried both, and feel confident enough doing it in heels.

Well being very tall and very overweight - I tend to put on my shoes and stay with them for a long time.

So I never change to drive.

Love ya,

I drive in heels all the time. I have to watch to keep the carpet mat clean in my car tho so that sand in the carpet doesn't scratch the leather covering the heel stem. When I drive in heels, even tho the brake and accelerator pedals are adjustable for a good angle, the stem of my heel often rests or slides on the mat. I shake that carpet mat out frequently for that.

 I don't think I could ever drive in heels. I have a spare pair of pink flat shoes in my car. When I can't wear my girl clothes I still like the feel of my girl shoes.

Never thought much about it. It's a natural thing... there is a problem of staining canvas or cloth heels if you are not careful. Heels are a part of a woman's life - women drive cars - car designers allow for that. Watch for thong shoes though - they can slip sometimes...

When I've gone driving en femme (which is not very often), I wear my lowest high heels--3". And, Joanna, even tho I'm about 6'2" myself, I have yet to get a nosebleed in my 5" strappy heels! (And there was only that one incident tripping down the stairs. . . )

I'd just suggest, Margaret, that you make sure you can operate the pedals safely (that's my lawyer side coming out). You didn't say if you had an automatic or a stick shift, but the automatic is obviously a lot easier. It wouldn't do to get into a fender bender and have to explain your gender bender to the nice policeman! (Or woman!)
