I am going for an interview this sunday @ Dunkin Doughnuts & I was wondering if anyone knew if they are TG frindly or not.

You had me curious, Sofia, so I did a Google search and could find nothing really substancial on the subject...

I found that odd...

I even viewed the DD website for employment info and there was not much there...I would of thought that they would of at least had an Employee handbook type thingy....no luck! DANG!

Sorry, I tried....

If I come up with something I'll post it...OK?

I don't know about this company. Most company's HR policies are not publically published. I would recommend that you keep quiet until you know what their policies are.

To be sure, there must be a clause that specifically uses the terms "gender identity" or "transgendered" with regards to harrasment and/or employment. If the HR policy handbook does not have anything specifically written in terms of the protection of transgendered people, then they are not transgender friendly.

check this page http://www.dunkinbrands.com/Responsibility/diversity.html while it doesnt specifically mention gay, lesbian or trans it does talk about diversity and how they try to foster it in their organization.

this is from their parent company (Dunkin' brands) corp presskit. It seems like you might have some luck, also what ever your state laws are for GLBT protection would hold sway as well.

That depends. They may not fire you just because you came out to them. They might come up with an excuse or series of excuses to fire you. Basically they might end up having it out for you, so you would have to be very careful. I truly hope this isn't the case, but I know that Elizabeth had just such a run in at her job.

Most of your nation wide stores run with the same laws as your state and leaves their guide lines very vague. I would check with your state laws on this matter.

Dunkin Brands has THIS on their website:

Dunkin’ Brands, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, and considers all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, creed, national origin, citizenship status, gender, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation or veteran status

That should mean that they are Transgender friendly.

I recommend not ever ever saying anything if you can get away with it. Don't mention anything about being trans/gay/lesbian or whatever you may be. Just tell them you are GG, straight, and christian. My wife and I are going through he11 now because her catholic boss found out about her being a lesbian and me being trans. So never tell anything if you don't have to. It will make your life sooooo much easier if no one knows.
