A Few Mannerisms To Help You Blend

I have stated that I make a habit of observing women and their mannerisms.

I first read about these three mannerisms some time ago,and so set out

to see if it was true.Yeppa it is,and all women use them without thought.

And I have incorporated them into mine, until they became habit.

1)Relaxing when in conversation:

When in conversation,a woman will have one arm across her torso palm up.

She rests the opposite elbow in the palm of that hand, lightly cupping the elbow.

That arm held up.Again, with palm up,fingers lightly cupped and relaxed. This is a

very comfortable way to spend time conversing with anyone, and is so very easy

to do.Remember,do not tighten up though, relax.

2) Crossing your arms like a woman does:

You cross one arm across your torso, lightly touching your bicep, fingers relaxed.

While the opposite arm is crossed over that arm, tucked under the bicep, hand relaxed

against your torso. Not gripping it,relaxed, fingers slightly spread.

3) Standing like a woman:

Stand with one leg straight but slightly bent, not locked, slightly bent. While the other is

held knee bent, relaxed and pointed to the outside. When ever you are standing in one

place for a period of time, try to do this, for all women do.

These mannerisms may sound simple,it's because they are.But if you take the time to

incorporate them into you daily lives, they will help to blend in seamlessly.

And every litter bit helps.(lol)

Thanks, Angie....

I, too, have incorporated many female mannerisms ....

And I now have done them so much that they are now second nature to me....

Heck, after all...the old male mannerisms were all learned....

So, you can re-learn ....

And it's so true that so little can cue you as male or female....

The mannerisms are easy to get down and it's one thing in your transition that's free!

HUGGS!

I have noticed that I have started doing those things the further i get in my transition. It is to the point now that people comment on it. The funny thing is that I did not realize that i was doing it at all until it was pointed out. So yes these small things well absolutely help you blend.

Maybe I'm strange, but I just never have to think about these things. I guess maybe I've always had feminine mannerisms.

Not I Ash,

I had to learn everything from scratch. From the slow letting go of my man and

everything about him.To observing and putting into practice all the things I have

learned to be a passable woman, without having to put thoughts into my actions.

I ran manufacturing plants where macho was the name of the game. That took

some time to let go of.

Thanks, Angie. Those are really helpful.

I am not out in public en femme yet, but I'll start practicing at home, and by the time I go

out, hopefully I'll have it down.

i guess i do them pretty naturally to back before transition my male friends used to make fun of the way i stand and also that thing were you wrist is kinda limp my friends and family always got a big laugh out of that one :(

but number 2 in that list i think is more of a comfort issue than a mannerisim men cross their arms across their chest women do it under their chest the key diffrence is boobs i noticed when hormones started making my breasts sore that crossing my arms across them was un barebly painfull so i moved to crossing my arms under them to avoid the discomfort after the pain stopped and my breast became larger it just seemed more akward to cross my arms across my chest and still kinda pain full to with the wieght of your arms pushing in and down on them

and it gets worse the bigger they are now that im a DD *actually sitting here trying this lol * i cant comfortably cross my arms across my chest 1 its just awkward 2 it just hurts

now thinking about it i wonder if mannerisim 1 on the list is some variation of that reason hmmm there is usually some reason behind every mannerisim
