Good morning, Pale Strawberry!

Welcome to the forum, Honey!

Let me get you some hot coco and cookies to help you get all settled in.....OK?

Now, I'm not going to lecture you on unsupervised hormones (self medicating) because you are doing it with a doctor now.. That's great and the only way to do it.

I just want to mention it for the sake of the other members that read your post, that doing this is very dangerous!

Please only do it with a doctor's supervision!

It sounds as if you are moving along quite nicely and you look amazing! Your pic shows me a young woman with unruly hair....LOL

But, it sounds as if you are getting your ducks in a row...you didn't mention your location...USA? UK?

It makes a difference for the kind of health care that you receive...

I'm quite glad that you have joined us, Sweetheart...may we call you "Pale"? or do you have something that you would like us to use?

It's so nice to have you, Honey....

BIGG HUGGS!

Howdy howdy!

I'd say your mom is handling it very well, she's probably just got a million things running through her head, trying to sort out the why's and what-if's. It's only natural.

LOVE the t-shirt!

*Hugs*

Hello!

Thank you for the replies :)

Btw, I am sorry if I made any duplicate posts, originally I tried to post it in the mtf forums but it didn't show, I tried twice and then tried here.

I am from Israel, and I know it is dangerous to self medicate, the reasons I did it are complicated but the best thing is that I am under medical care now (a gynecologist)

You can call me pale :) I am actually paler than most of my family! :o

Though maybe not pale enough ^^

Every time I show pictures, people say it's "a girl", but in real life people seem to sometimes say girl sometimes boy when they see me (like, if I am approaching a shop seller, not saying anything to suggest them any gender but letting them speak first).

Kinda annoying!

Personally I see a boy too, but it could be my perception is messed from seeing myself for years.

Yes! my hair is unruly! :o I never seem to get it right, I am afraid to go to a hairstylist after mom cut it so sort (!!! like, grass) for years.

Last year I went to a hairstylist at march and he removed so many inches! I was scared to go to anyone ever again.

People told me he was supposed to do that.. but it felt like a lot was lost and took it a lot of time to regrow.. scary!!!

I am not even sure what to tell a stylist to do O_o people told me to have it layered and trimmed and that's it maybe..

I am afraid he will do me something which is more for a boy with long hair than a girl, if there is such difference at all.. *anxious person!!!!!*

So I am lost about what to do with.. anything.. and I am not sure when I will get surgery and I want to start living already.....................

And the shirt!!!!! is from my boyfriend, who studies in Huddersfield University, UK.

Btw, every time I try and post the forums says I am not logged, I need to copy everything, relog and post again.. what can I do to fix that?

OK, Pale it is!

Don't worry about the duplicate posts, Sweetheart...I took care of that!

And, good for you on the doctor supervision!

I don't know what is wrong with you having to log on again...I'll check on that for you......OK?

What browser do you use IE6?...Firefox? Opra?

Sounds like you have cookies disabled. Tsk Tsk, of all the sites to be disabling cookies on! We LOVE cookies!!!!

Seriously though, check your browser preferences and check to see if cookies are allowed. If not you can still not allow them, but add www.lauras-playground.com to the exceptions list, that should fix you right up. Or you could just allow cookies, they generally don't cause any problems, especially if you're on your own pc and not a shared one.

Thank you Shilo!

My cookies are enabled :) I checked.

It's not it :(

Lucky for me, my family and cousins and brothers and mom's boyfriend's family all know and I don't need to hide ^^

Well, you probably checked at the same time, but as an afterthought, perhaps they're set to expire after a short period of time?

Welcome Pale. We're very happy to have you join our family. I think you look lovely and I feel your parents, especially your mother, are handling your condition and plans well. Good luck with your transition, Hon.

On the login page, do you have the "remember me" box checkmarked? In theory, this shouldn't be necessary, but I've done a quick search and it's worked for others having the same issue on other forums.

Yes! I have remember me :)

I think the cookies are saved forever, they do on other forums anyway :)

Hi Pale

Welcome to the playground everyone is so nice here as you can tell already. For your parents to have that kind of reaction is a good sign also because alot of parents just dont want to accept it and end up disowning their kids over it, and I think that your mom is helping you with clothes and helping with costs is her way of coping with things.

Welcome :)

Your hair isn't bad. If you want to do something different get your hair cut with bangs. Or go to a salon and spend time going through their photobooks.

Welcome aboard Pale, now you have told them it becomes a waiting game. It will take them time to process what they have been told and to deal with it their own way. Feel free to ask your questions, we will do our best to answer them and with 6000+ members on this site I am sure that someone can help with nearly anything.

Well Pale Strawberry,

By the looks of your image you have made the right choice and

know who you are.And had the smarts to go about this the right

way and get a physican to monitor your transition. That your mother

is willing to help in anyway she can is huge dear girl. She is still

adjusting to having a daughter instead of a son.So be patient.

And honey,I do not see you as needing and FFS of any kind.

HRT is magic, will do more for you than you can imagine with

a steady regimen.Welcome to the Playground you pretty young thing.

Hugs Young Lady,

Angie

Hello we are The lake. So called because This One has not determined a name for oneself but has in a way created an environment to try out multiple names as different people. Currently Some of us use she/her pronouns and one uses he/him. We hope to learn more about being transgender and the intricacies involved. Once again it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance and we hope to be of further help in the future.

https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/18-states-sue-biden-administration-transgender-worker-protections-rcna152239     When the R's are in power they love having the EEOC promulgate rules favoring employers.  But when the D's are in power, they just hate it when the EEOC makes or enforces rules that favor employee rights; most especially trans employee rights.  Then it becomes "government overreach."  Funny how that works out.    Carolyn Marie

Wholeheartedly agree.  Whether a compliment is backhand or forehand, I take it gladly.  They are offered rarely enough these days.    Carolyn Marie

Wow, a shop that actually respects a customer's truck?  That seems like a miracle!  My husband does most of his own work, because he really, REALLY hates people who mess with an interior, with grease spots or footprints.  His personal truck is old, but super clean.  And since he's the transportation manager for his company, he's pretty picky about people respecting company equipment.  "Take care of it, and it will take care of you" is the motto.  Drivers should be able to go through a DOT Level 1 inspection without worry.

Literally the word means "hatred of women" and so I don't think that's quite the right description for what you encountered.  Possibly chauvinism?  Or maybe just not wanting to bother somebody he figured wasn't interested or capable of doing the job?  Who knows.   But on the other hand...be glad you're passing

Finally found a site that gives the definition of defemination as a process of loss of feminine characteristics or continued loss of them.  Not a word I would use every day, although I can see where it would be a problem for some who value those feminine characteristics.  Yes I have seen it happen and now get the idea, and yes, not in so many words, but yes I have been up against others who do put down my femininity as being a pseudo female at the most polite and I cannot use the words hear for what it is at the worst.   Online, there is little to do about it except leave and block the people who do it and the places it happens, since it affects you much more heavily and negatively than it does the person doing it, and you need freedom from the stress.  The rules here which our "powers that be", namely the staff say we do not put up with members denying the authentic identity of other members.
