My Name.

this might have nothing to do with my gender, but my state of mind.

I really don't think of myself as "Steven". Of course I respond to it, of course I've known the name since birth. But when I really think about it, I think, I am Steven, that is how you sound out my name, it jsut feels so....like, not that its not my name, but that its like, wow, that is my name?

I guess in my mind I don't really give myself a name,. its just, me. so when I think about giving myself a name, its just....weird.

Accept with Andrea... Maybe its because its a name I call myself, and it feels more natural, not necessarily so much right, as it is just, mine..

I haven't ever came up with a different guy name for me though. It wouldn't be important, I can't change that name, and I really don't want to.

I feel the same way about my name Rebecca. When trying to choose what name I wanted, its almost as though Rebecca chose me, not the other way round. It just seemed to "fit" me, and other names just seemed somehow wrong or inappropriate. I also feel I am Rebecca first and foremost, and that my male name is just a label for when dealing with people outside of those closest to me.
